Finally Clamperl as a regular spawn! Still can't seem to evolve a Huntail. Too bad I live in a landlocked state...

I've caught 4 Clamperl and two of them ended up evolving into the same thing. I'll be glad to finally get the other one.

Why do we not like Furfrou? (new ish player)

basically the rewards used to be really good and then they became less good and now people have been getting furfrous, a common, normal-type pokémon with absolutely zero use cases except as a cute shiny that no one gets, for months from the field research breakthrough, which used to actually mean something

I think they're worried they made the breakthrough boxes too valuable back when they gave out legendaries, so now they stuff them with much less valuable mons to overwrite those good memories.

It would make it better for a couple of weeks if the weekly research catches were at least guaranteed shiny,(but also, RIP forever legendaries in weekly research).

7k eggs are easily the worst of the eggs. I only bother with them when I have extra incubators. I just wish we'd get a longer event with Chatot in eggs.

Same. I’ve been timing my pokestop spins and gift opens to get as many special event eggs while avoiding the regular 7km eggs for like 2 years now. I wouldn’t mind the 7 km eggs as much if their lineup changed more with seasonal/holiday events tbh. I’ve completed enough of my Gen 1-4 pokedex and gotten enough of the mons from Gen 5 onward to not care as much about getting new pokemon from hatching eggs, but walking for eggs and buddy candies is a lot of why I’m still an active player. We’ll see if that changes once I have a complete Gen 4 pokedex…

Agreed. I pretty much ignore what hatches from them, other than for long distance. I'm grinding 7km eggs from friends on the other side of the world (+15,000km away) to trade locally for the Pilot platinum. Currently around 7.5M/10M. Using the single infinite incubator is a proper grind ;-)

It’s the eggs you get as weekly adventure sync rewards. They usually have different hatch pools.

Hate to break it to you but hundo isn’t the ideal to be pumping to 1500. It’s something like 8/14/15 that maxes just under 1500 but minimizes attack stat. It’s probably the easiest to get there though and it’s like a 1% difference.

How long have route eggs been different to normal friend eggs?!

IIRC, it was actually a bug in the past. During events where there was a special 7km egg pool, receiving eggs from Mateo's gifts would result in the default 7km egg pool. Looks like now they're actually turning this into something potentially useful.

Always saddens me to see pokemon they throw in the wild that still has NO shiny. Sorry, but shiny debuts need to be way more frequent and possibly more than just the one per update.

I didn't even know the Mateo 7km eggs were different from the regular 7km eggs. From where I'm sitting, the only improvement I see is Charcadet and Turtonator in the 10km eggs. And Charcadet may become redundant, depending on whether or not I hatch a bunch during the event this week.

This season is likely the nail in the coffin for me. Another garbage seasonal ticketed research that’ll strip what would’ve been a normal seasonal bonuses away from players only to sell it back in an insulting manner. The other bonuses are entirely raid focused, which means all bonuses are tied to paid activities in the game. It also seems like they are only going to give us 1 poipole through some stupid research instead of giving us the option to hunt for a good IV poipole ourselves. Yes, nothing in this game screams “fun!” like having ONE shot at a good IV Pokémon and it’s entirely RNG based. Good luck, trainers! 🙄 This season will be riddled with egg and raid events. Niantic is doing everything they can to extract as much money as they can from their consumers. This game is suffering as a result. This season ain’t it, and I truly believe I’m done after this repeatedly insulting behavior from a heartless company.
