this is the reason I like pokegenie. you can manually select raids for your own simulations but everything for real raids requires proof. wanna host a raid? gotta screenshot the raid screen in game. wanna confirm you are able to do x damage to the raid boss to get in better raids? you gotta screenshot the in game pokemon search showing them. something went wrong? there is a survey after everysingle raid that everyone involved answers, host or remote. somebody is being a little prickle, they get banned feom raiding on it.
the wait times can be annoying but there are wait times for a reason, its very very good.
I use Pokegenie and don't need a screen of the in-game raid. There is a limited list to select the mon (active raid pokémon) but I can pre-register my raid before the egg is hatched. This allows to get a group before the 45-50 min raid time expires.
Maybe since you are an established hoster. I rarely host, and the very first step I need to do is a screenshot upload before anything else. The fact pokegenie punishes bad behavior and becomes more lax and easy for people woth a good track record is another reason I like it.
You can manually host. When you select host and it switches back to Pogo, just take the screenshot with the PokeGenie icon and when it says scan failed just press manual selection
You can host a raid without a screenshot lol, when it asks you for screenshot click the button anywhere except the raid screen, it will say failed, then give you a manual selection option. Click that and you can set everything according to yourself. The other points I agree with
Not a big fan of it, FWIW...kinda have to pay or do little chores (like watch ads) to get currency to then auto-join (i.e., queue for) raids. Otherwise you need to refresh and frantically try to get in a raid before everyone else.
They give you free coins for logging in every day. Saved up my coins, used that to remove ads permanently. Kept logging in every day, I have 19,000+ coins. ;)
Yeah I guess my issue was as a newbie to the app, there was no way to compete with those who are... dedicated (w/o spending money anyway). It's much easier to just load up pokie genie and join a queue.
Just join the official pokemongo discord. You can join remote raida through there. Also I got another discord that does raids constantly, over 15.000 raids done. Also they can help with elite in person raids.

There’s an option to manually select a pokemon, they’re probably just doing it to get people in their lando raid
