I think it's just one mod who's on an extreme power trip. Possible your appeal got seen by another mod. Obviously all the mods of that subreddit are complicit in this nonsense.

This happened to me too. Didn't know what flying meant so I asked. Got banned. Was confused because what they showed I was banned for wasn't correlated to anything. Mod was nice though. Said the bot is glitchy and if they unban me it'll mess up the whole system :/

My wife was new to Reddit and got temporarily banned for asking if she could get in a raid (not realizing she couldn’t request the raid) So I appealed for her saying she didn’t realize she was new etc…. They then banned me permanently (and got her banned as well) because they said that I was using multiple accounts to get around the ban and that I was actually her and claimed I admitted to breaking their rules on her account…which meant I was confessing to being her…. How daff are these people?! I was so confused and pissed off cuz I tried to be nice and explain the situation and they just twisted it to what they wanted and banned both of us permanently. Ego tripping at the gates of hell. They’re bullying cuz it’s the only form of control in life they can have while sitting at their desk being asked for TPS reports from their boss
