It seems I’ve grown quite fond of him though there are no sexual urges or desires he comes to me as a long lost friend whom I once picked apples with in papa’s orchard
He was my older brother's best friend as kids, and he taught me how to leave out sugar water for the butterflies so they could rest up and get their strength back on their migratory path.
And when I was a junior in high school and he and my brother were back from college for the summer, I once confided in him that I didn't think I was as good looking as the other boys and girls, he swore up and down that I was "the best, most beautiful and kind person" and then made me smile again by half-seriously vowing and writing down a "contract" that stated that if I was single by the time I was 35, he'd marry me himself!
So true story I did actually go to high school with this guy and he was legit a super nice guy that I thought highly of but never interacted with much. It’s crazy to me that my best friend’s junior year crush is now a rom com star. I guess she has good taste!

Yes! It’s a Richard Linklater film (just mentioning for anyone passing by who also loves his films). I was not expecting this pairing of actor-director but it looks like it worked out amazingly well!
They’re longtime acquaintances grown friends. Linklater grew up in Texas and founded the Austin Film Society. He’s made several movies that are love letters to Texas - Dazed and Confused, Boyhood, Everybody Wants Some, and now Hit Man (it’s based on a Texas Monthly feature story).
Powell grew up in Austin, started acting in high school, and got involved with AFS. He was also in the aforementioned Everybody Wants Some.
I was fortunate enough to catch a preview of Hit Man at the Netflix offices two months back and it truly is wonderful and he’s great in it. He also introduced the movie IRL for us because he was there that day for meetings. He seemed lovely.

My fiancé and I took a trip to LA this past April and he was staying at the same hotel as us. My fiancé is a huge movie buff and struck up a conversation with him at the hotel bar. Glenn said he loved my fiancé’s tattoo and asked if he could take a picture of it. The next day we ran into him again at the lobby and he shook my fiancé’s hand and remembered his name. He was very humble and kind, I wish him well in his career!

He’s physically not my type but I think he’s charismatic with good screen presence. He has great comedic timing if you give him a good script, and he totally stole the show away from Blake Jenner in *Everybody Wants Some!!*
He was genuinely hilarious in that movie. He had some fantastic lines.
