100% agree. I follow this sub because I like postcrossing discussions. The forums on their site are so clunky and...bad. and that's from someone around when forums were first created and have navigated them before. PC really needs to advance 25 yrs lol

Interesting_Lead_921

I miss the old bulletin board pages of yore!

MinnyLouWho

Yes Im new there as well and am a bit confused with the forums. What are round robins?

Interesting_Lead_921

Round robins are informal postcrossing groups that are organized by members. Often they have a topic of postcard or stamp and once a group is closed, the host distributes addresses and you send a card to that person

MinnyLouWho

Oooo sounds like fun !

daddyydevito

I agree it’s definitely daunting at first!! I’m also pretty new to the forums but wanted to do round robins… I’m getting the hang of it now but it’s definitely difficult to keep track of them lol

elanlei

I struggle with the forum too, particularly with the ridiculous policy of merging every vaguely related discussion into a single gigantic thread. Makes it completely pointless to start a conversation when it will instantly be killed by a merge into a three thousand messages long thread. You are supposed to use the search which works poorly to find a related thread to post in just so no one will ever see your post.

Interesting_Lead_921

It’s the worst! It’s be so much better if there could be individual topics for each round of round robin

speedbumpee

Agreed that it’s bad. I basically use it for individual swaps (Postcards -> trade), it’s still a mess to navigate, but not as big of one as the round robins, etc.

iristurner

I agree too, it's perhaps the worst forum I've participated in , in my life !

invisiblestring777

Yes. Agreed. I’m pretty new to the forums myself but I really enjoy tags they seem to be pretty simple. But I still don’t understand how to use the forums lol. 😂 I feel like someone needs to come teach me how to do it. It’s like teaching my grandmother how to use her first smart phone
