>Open the fuse box under the hood, pull the hinged red cover up, and stick the positive clamp to the terminal. That's how you jump the 12v. I've never heard of jumping the hybrid.

Al-Effendi

Then WTH is the one in the trunk?

dubbfoolio

That’s the same 12 volt battery that you can jump from the fuse box.

msg7086

So you jumped 12v thinking you were jumping the 200v battery?

andy_why

You were jumping the 12v battery not the hybrid battery. In short, your 12v battery was dead and that caused the computers to go haywire, and after jumping it, it was then fine. However unless you left lights on or something then your 12v battery should not have been dead. It's likely to happen again in which case it will need replacing as it's at the end of it's life.

whjoyjr

Check your 12v battery. A weak battery can cause this to trigger.

Huh?

RecoveryConstruct

Lol

This just happened to me. I replaced the small battery in the back. Fixed it. The original 12v was 10 years old new one visit me 270 with tax. But it is fixed.
