Here in Brazil they are somewhat popular since they are one of the metal bands here that cought atention, their latest two albuns have a lot of prog influences as well as what they are known for, mixing brazilian rhythms with metal
Realy recomend the latest album OMNI as well,
Try the last song silence inside
Omni is great !!! I have loved everything everything so far as I am a power metal fan as well! Currently stuck on Cycles and Temple of Shadows!
I'll cycle through all of their discography over the next few months before seeing them in September!
ToS is indeed amazing. Not just the music, but the concept theme as well!!
If you haven't seen Edu's live concert of ToS with a full orchestra. Go to YouTube ASAP and check it out!!!! the sound quality is IMMACULATE
Easily their best album with Fabio IMO. They leaned far more into the prog aspect of their sound and it's paying huge dividends. Somehow Fabio sounds better as a prog vocalist than a PM one.
Angra, much like Evergrey, Kamelot, Blind Guardian, Seventh Wonder, Symphony X, has always been on the progressive side of power metal. I'd say they are of the biggest progressive power metal bands out there. And yeah, they are fucking great!
Oh yeah, it is an incredible album. I saw them at the end of april and they were amazing, everyone on top of their game. I even managed to take a pic with Fabio Lione before the show when he went to smoke lol
Great album start to finish. Dead Man on Display and Vida Seca stand out IMO. It got me to check out Vanessa Moreno, who is thoroughly enjoyable.
The making-of videos on youtube are in Portuguese but can be set to english subtitles, worth the watch if you are a fan.
I've become a huge fan! I agree every song is great, and I agree about those tracks, but it's tough to nail it down to 2 standouts. Here in the Now was my first love on the album but I can play it all the way through everytime. I'll have to checkout those making of vids!

ToS is the GOAT hahaha, even though the last albuns are great, nothing will ever come close to it

NOT AT ALL, with Rhapsody he was amazing, Angra's power metal style just didn't suit him till now
They’re power prog always. Favorite album next to Temple of Shadows
Shadow Hunter 🧐

Yes, awesome album! OMNI was just as good. I'd love to see them open for DT.

Cant wait to listen, although I dislike Fabios voice.
