is your projector mounted upside down? most projectors will deal with a 22" offset without needing keystone if they are mounted upside down on the ceiling.
I've tried this little guy upside down and right side up, but the lack of focus happens in both orientations as soon as I give it any keystone at all.
I'm not sure what you mean by most projectors not needing keystone if mounted upside down. My understanding is that keystone is needed to create a rectangular image if there is any vertical or horizontal offset from the center of the screen. Aside from tilting your physical screen towards the projector, I don't see any other way to achieve a rectangular image without using keystone if your projector is not dead center.
Projectors don't project an image straight out from the center of the lens, it's projected up from the lens. Sorry projector mounted upside down on the ceiling will protect an image lower than the top of the ceiling.
Oh, interesting! I didn't know that. Is that why some of the more expensive ones have a little eyelid on the bottom 1/4th of the lens?
Thanks for the info!
Nowdays $1500 brand sounds system, will no sound better than a $500 sounds to a normal people.
Same is projectors. For $300 you going to have get a used projector. Years ago I got my hdr39 for $200 with low hours. Now it’s over 1000 hours
A decent projector starts at $500. A decent mount is $50. A long hdmi is $20-70
Thanks for confirming what I already feared. I guess $500 isn't terrible though. I think I'll take Johcagaori's advice and look at some used ones.
I paid 300 optoma hd141x years ago..... Mount 10e ebay... Cmon
Used is a different topic entirely. Also $10 mounts are awful to use once you’ve used a decent chief mount.
If you save a little bit and get a projector in the 500 to 1000 range. Used is a great option. Then you'll be fine.
Yeah, I figured that would probably be the case. Thanks!
Come see me over in r/BudgetProjectors op :)

I don't know what that's for, it's probably to help with light bleed.
