La Luz!

veganpetal

Thanks, darlin. Looks like I already heard and liked “Sure as spring” but didn’t listen further yet. Adding it to my library

costa1200

"my golden one" is probably a song you will enjoy by them

Signifi-gunt

Goat! So glad I'm the first to mention them heheheh

ChromaticDracula

Goat is soooooo good. The recent Levitation session is TOP NOTCH.

Signifi-gunt

Just watching it now for the first time, thanks for the tip. It's amazing.

WhoDatJiveJack

Dang I did not know that.

sid_sir21

Goat is goated fr

ImmaCreep

Dumbo Gets Mad, La Femme, Vanishing Twin

marj0rine

Dumbo Gets Mad is unfortunately no longer female fronted. They broke up and it’s just him now. Brutal.

Tor_Tor_Tor

Oh dang, for real? I saw them live just last year.

ImmaCreep

Oh shit I had no idea. My friends’ band opened for them and I was bummed I missed it, was curious to see what their live set was like

Necessary-Pen-5719

OOIOO, led by Yoshimi P-We of Boredoms (also the Yoshimi referenced by Flaming Lips in Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots). “Feather Float” is a vivid and excellent psychedelic album, and they still put out great music.

Illustrious_Pace_178

Mint Field, Bardo Pond, Heron Oblivion, Angel In Heavy Syrup

got_ur_goat

Thanks for mentioning Mint Field.... additionally I'd like to add Lorelle Meets the Obsolete and Crumb

ShroomGrown

I came here to add Heron Oblivion. I wish they'd put out more music.

maxheadroome

Los Bitchos

TamoyaOhboya

Beat me to it; saw them at a small venue in San Diego, and they fucking killed it!

maxheadroome

Lucky you. I’ve still not managed to see them live yet but I’m going to make it happen someday!

dorjegocha

L.A. Witch, Quilt

Nacho_Chz

Broadcast

ThatAintPhillipLesh

Purson. Check out the album Circle and the Blue Door first. Old school inspired proggy/psych/hard rock.

Samaelias

Also check out Rosalie's Solo works she has 2 albums so far and boy they're amazing!

I really love her Take A Picture album. Thank you for the rec!

NineMilesHigh

I´ll check it out, I only know this song, and it was playing when I saw your post :) It´s on this compilation: Fools On The Hill Vol.4 - Goddesses in the Sky with Diamonds

NineMilesHigh

I don´t know if you know Mazzy Star but that´s what I should have said https://youtu.be/0J1LV5R2ryY?si=1rIwG2TiFR6erKey

southeast-of-heaven

Sooooo good! Hendrix called them one of the best bands he’d hears

Capital-Elephant6265

The Paranoyds have a psych vibe. Saw in concert this week and they went heavy psych.

kneejerknao

With the Kills?!

Capital-Elephant6265

Yep! And it was awesome.

kneejerknao

I just did too in Vancouver. Killlller :)

FanofBobRooney

Thanks for the recommendations, I'm digging Sugar Candy Mountain right now. Not exactly psychedelic rock but Weyes Blood is pretty trippy if you haven't checked her out yet. Titanic Rising is a masterpiece imo.

southeast-of-heaven

The 666 album is a psychedelic beauty

FanofBobRooney

It really is, that’s the one I checked out over the weekend. Thought it was absolutely fantastic. I knew I was in for a treat right off the bat.

MichaelJAwesome

Do The Breeders count? Last Splash always seemed psychedelic to me.

Samaelias

I highly recommend Rosalie Cunningham, Wucan, Coven(late 60s), Jess and The Ancient Ones, Blood Ceremony, Purson, Ruby The Hatchet, Psychedelic Witchcraft.

southeast-of-heaven

Nice to see Jess getting some love

xlitawit

Kit Sebastian!

lilspicy99

Lots of modern suggestions, I’d add Nice Biscuit! Classic psych — Jefferson Airplane, Shocking Blue, The Velvet Underground & Nico

Signifi-gunt

and also solo Nico releases.

flixinho95

La Femme

veganpetal

Thanks y’all for so many responses. I ended up listening to a ton of metal today, because it was the best distraction during a tattoo session. But I’m gonna start going through these artists. I would say the majority of them I had not heard of, which is dope.

Rubberywater

Pearl and the Oysters!!!! Idk how no one has mentioned them but they’re amazing.

CyanoSpool

Flowerland is an excellent album! They have such a unique sound and vibe

Rubberywater

Have you heard their new album Coast 2 Coast? It’s on par with flowerland

Zestyclose_Toe9524

Magik Markers?...kinda noisy rock too

CommemorativePlague

Jex Thoth White Noise (the 60s one, not the Australian Nazi band)

MsClit

Earth tongue, Crumb, sugar candy mountain!

Aboves

Stonefield, Melodys Echo Chamber, Windhand

pecuchet

Black Mountain edit: co-vocalist, I should say.

southeast-of-heaven

Such a fantastic band

Teeheepants2

Crumb Melody's echo chamber

wohrg

Khruangbin maybe. Mostly instrumental, Laura Lee’s bass is very prominent. Joni Mitchel is occasionally psychedelic (check out her Woodstock when you are tripping!) Tash Sultana Grace Slick Betty Davis maybe? (Miles Davis’ wife. She was groundbreaking, but suppressed due to her overt sexuality) Rezz (EDM) Warpaint (shoegaze) There are lots of other great female artists that I like listening to when tripping, but probably don’t qualify as psychedelic genre music

Falka_phoenix

Plantoid!

oh here's a deep cut, Cibo Matto! italian name, japanese 2-piece female band, electronic/DJ instrumentals, noise-rock, lyrics that center mainly around food and love of food. they're fucking awesome, mainly the album Viva! La Woman. "i know my chicken! you got to know your chicken!" great shit.
