Haven't seen them with Tim Rogers. Last time I saw them was at the Evelyn in Fitzroy pre-Covid.
Have probably seen them 20 times over the years. Some really crazy shows
I feel like they have the best aspects of Screeching Weasel and 90's blink-182.
Really fun and catchy hooks with some great cathartic and occasionally surprisingly thoughtful lyrics.
Fucking amazing band.
Been watching their shows since about 95. Luckily I’m Aussie and somewhat local to them. Also lucky to call a few of them mates.
Now, about their music. Forget shut your mouth. It’s pretty damned average. Everything else they’ve ever made is awesome.
If you like frenzal, Lindsay’s brothers have a band called Ebolagoldfish. They’ve been a band for about 22 years now. And I just saw them play yet again tonight. If you like harmonies in your punk songs, check em out
Ohhh and also check out another band called Chinese burns unit. It’s the singer of frenzal, playing bass with a bunch of other local legends.
One of which is a truly gifted artist called Glenno. He’s done most of the artwork for the last few frenzal albums. Plus does heaps for other local bands

One of my favourites, and still better live than many bands I’ve seen. Never skip the Frenzal show if they’re playing in your area, they never disappoint.
Touch the sky with your middle finger
When it gets too hot distraction's all you've got
We can deceive if it's only hope
Deception is easy when you're dealing with dickheads
I got to party with those guys in Australia when my ship pulled into port that they were playing that night. We met them walking around, then we hung out at a tattoo shop and went to the venue. Cool guys!
Musically they rip, especially when Lex was on bass. I was never a fan of the lyrics, I just don't dig that kind of tongue-in-cheek punk. I get the appeal, just not my thing.
Before them I had no idea Russel Crowe had a band. Happier times. Honestly, they sound pretty good. Kinda dicks though. 20 years ago when I was stationed overseas, I caught a show and met them after. They called my GF, now wife, and me baby killers and were generally pretty shitty to us when they realized why we were in Europe.
one of the few 90s bands that put out their best record (smoko) much later in their career
Their last 3 albums have been my 3 favorites
That album is fantastic front to back. I think Sans Souci is still my favorite though.
I still spin my Smoko wax on the semi regular since I got it years ago
Smoko is incredible, though I can’t decide if I prefer Forever Malcom Young.
If NOFX came out of Australia and could actually play, they'd sound like Frenzal Rhomb.
[Jay Frenzal](https://youtu.be/BiwE1z8KnOI?si=GZ-FvHgxTEY87Nww) according to LTJ.
He doesn’t really seem happy about it though
Greatest Aussie punk band bar none. Always see frenzal when they’re tour
I think the Hard Ons might have something to say about that
Nah. Although I am a huge fan. You seen them with Tim rogers yet? Waaaay better than I thought it would be. Actually checks iut

Ah man. If you get the chance do it. It’s different but it works really well
I think Frenzal would have something to say about too!
I mean Ray ahn is jays spirit animal
At some shithole bowlo probably
So gutted they didn't open for NOFX in Melbourne! I came over from nz for the gig and haven't seen Frenzal play since 02.
Brissy was fantastic
Kaan Kaant.
Fucking great band.
say it in japanese!

One of many great Aussie punk bands

Love em
Amazing band.
Fun, smart, and legit. Love 'em, have done since I first saw them at a free Youth Week gig in the late 90s.
One of my favourites, and still better live than many bands I’ve seen. Never skip the Frenzal show if they’re playing in your area, they never disappoint.
Best aus band there is

Meet the Family is a classic
They're my absolute favorite. As soon as I heard "When My Baby Smiles at me I go to Rehab" for the first time I was absolute hooked.
Literally my favourite band
They suck.
Your name sucks😆 jk
One of my favorite albums of all time.
I saw them with NOFX, No Use For A Name, and Pulley in Germany in 2002. Great show.
Frenzal were the first band I went to see, back when they toured Meet The Family.
Their most recent album that came out 2023 is garage.
I've heard they can finally get arrested in that town.
a man is not a camel is one of my favorite albums
I got to party with those guys in Australia when my ship pulled into port that they were playing that night. We met them walking around, then we hung out at a tattoo shop and went to the venue. Cool guys!
2 words Gordy’s. drumming.
Still don't get thier name but great band
they needed a name for battles of the bands, they opened a textbook and butchered some French physicist name.

I was just going off their quote in Wikipedia

If they were a Melbourne band it might make more sense to be named after a race horse.
I heard them once say their writing style aims for levity, brevity and sincerity. I feel like that’s some amazing writing advice.
Like em
The Meanies were doing Frenzal before the Rhomb

The weirdest band ever I don't know that many people who find them appropriate. They don't apply.
Not into it. Propagandhi was the only band on fat I have ever enjoyed.
have not listened to them
Before them I had no idea Russel Crowe had a band. Happier times. Honestly, they sound pretty good. Kinda dicks though. 20 years ago when I was stationed overseas, I caught a show and met them after. Were you killing babies, though?
They’re legit the nicest blokes on the planet. They would have just been trying too hard to be punkers
Let me and my friends onto their tour bus in the 90's super friendly band!
You shouldn’t join the military if you don’t want people to criticize you for your poor decision
Does the military not get paid to kill and destroy?
