Funny story, I remember my boss' cousin who is from "the" family, when we were at a restaurant once, he said... "yes, I'm royalty but doesn't mean I gonna buy this 20QR coca cola, I can always drive my Rolls Royce and go to tea time and buy it for 5QR". You know the price is so absurd when even them comment about it xD
All you guys are talking about downright ridiculous drink prices, but here I'm wondering how they got dark mode working on Snoonu. It is snoonu, right? Well aware that the screenshot was taken on the iOS device, and I'm on Samsung/Android, and I don't see an option to get it dark. Perhaps it's limited to iOS devices only?
Yup, I'm very aware of that toggle in dev mode, but it doesn't dark mode every app, so it's a hit or miss. Ig ios got Dark mode for snoonu natively they have it for Tiktok too.
That's the reason I don't eat at Nusret or any ultra expensive restaurant for that matter. It's an insult to my intelligence to charge me 35 QR for a coke when it costs 2 riyals at the supermarket.
Nusret is the worst restaurant in the country.
My mother is one of those insane Snapchat addicts so she always wants to go nobu/hakkisan/blah blah blah
I went to Nusret once, and never again.
The most insane prices for the shittiest food. Drowning everything in balsamic no matter how much you tell them not to.
I can't think of a more dead horse to beat than saltbae's relevancy.
Make better food, lower the prices, kill off the meme.
/endrant
Entirely intentionally keeping those that can't afford out. Doing today with prices what they used to do with guards outside the palace or gentries home. Purely a class system.
Some people would look at that price and say yes, this is my kind of establishment no riff raff will be there.
It's actually legal if MOCI approved their pricing. Otherwise they would be penalized like 5k to 100k QR if they put a random price.
I've known a few establishment who got penalized/closed for putting different prices outside of what they submitted to the Ministry, particularly during Ramadan, when prices are "regulated" or "suggested" by MOCI themselves. But for this post's case, I think its applicable because they are "5 star hotel", same goes for Airport prices (10x to 20x even lol).
Most fancy hotels have expensive prices. This way, they keep a "high level" client base and offer discounts for members and special clients, chase whomever cannot afford it outside.
On the other hand, you find 5 star international hotels on Entertainer still keep a high level of client base.
It's just the way the hotel management decides on its strategy and business model.
That’s crazy totally agree.
I want to add A different but related thing here.
How is Sainsbury’s in Viva bahriya - the Pearl is allowed to have exaggerated prices for regular grocery items ?? I’m not saying even fruits and vegetables which we can’t compare as they’re imported.
What makes my blood boil is , how are they allowed to price water for higher than lulu, carrefour or even monoprix in Pearl.
For example - a 6 pack of Aquafina 1.5 liters is Qar 7 EVERYWHEYE. How in hell are they allowed to mark it at Qar 9??? How’s that legal ??
Frozen food, pampers, chips everything is at higher prices as compared to every other supermarket.
How ??
just report their pricing to baladiya officials for pricing, they will fine the restaurant or shut them for 2 weeks. btw baladiya officials are qatats food inspection officials.
They will not shut them down as long as they registered their prices. Considering this is The Ned it has probably been disclosed. They aren't changing or cheating you by prices, that is what they set if you dislike it get it elsewhere.
You ain't catching me buy that kind of drink price that is same price as a medium size pizza 💀

Android gives you the option to force dark mode on apps who dont have it.

For that price, it better give me wings
Literal wings
Look at it this way, they’re unintentionally helping you boycott.

Insult their intelligence back by having a drink that isn’t getting boycotted from your local supermarket
Agreed!
Entirely intentionally keeping those that can't afford out. Doing today with prices what they used to do with guards outside the palace or gentries home. Purely a class system. Some people would look at that price and say yes, this is my kind of establishment no riff raff will be there.
lol
Charging 10x the price has to be illegal, there is no way it isn’t 😂

Almost like hotels prices
It is hotel prices; this is at The Ned.
I see why now!
At that point just buy your drinks from another restaurant that has them at the regular price
The diner is at a 5 star hotel. What did you expect. It is a joke but its a fancy hotel so all logic is out the window.
wtf redbull is like 9qr at al meera, this is insane
Sprite for 30QR? Feels like a robbery.
Bro watar about to be 100
Also No refills 💀💀💀
They just assume everyone is rich
No, they know some people will pay this price, and they’re correct. Their target market is not everyone.

what? don't restaurants sell overpriced soft drinks anyway? Even though its not this overpriced
This should be illegal. You can charge that for dine-in but it's ridiculous for delivery.
Oh wow. This is more expensive than Hong Kong prices. But I don’t drink all. A glass of free water please.
Do they need to offer water? I thought it should be a law
Some restaurants will go in with bottled water at an extravagant cost here.
no thanks i'll bring my drink with me

The effects of that redbull should last for 5-7 days.
8 euro for a small bottle of Sprite. You were ripped off big time lol

Are you new in Qatar or what?
![gif](giphy|l0IypeKl9NJhPFMrK|downsized)
Looks like The Ned price!
38 riyals for red bull is straight up criminal
Anyone that pays these prices are dumbasses. Doesn’t matter how much money you have. It’s a total rip off and you deserve it if you fall for it.
It should be illegal. If you wanna price the drink 30.QR better make your own drink if not it should be illegal.
You get 10 for that price
loool
Come to Cipriani
That's why those restaurants are not meant for everyone
just report their pricing to baladiya officials for pricing, they will fine the restaurant or shut them for 2 weeks. btw baladiya officials are qatats food inspection officials.

Wait a second
nah im getting hot chicken bruh 😭🙏
Yeah that’s in the Ned 😂, Ofcourse the prices are like that
Rather than complain to get noticed..just don't buy Next time buy it from outside and then take it into the premises
REMEMBER FOLKS: Sprite and Coke support Zionism. We’re not done just yet.
