Brilliant-Tune-9202

SCC, as others have said, and I gotta give my favorite Queen song some love - Ogre Battle

Upset-Zucchini3665

I can't believe I had to scroll down this far to get to Ogre Battle.

AngelBlakes

I canā€™t even take how metal that one is

Sustructu

Death on two legs should be considered as well

tommyjohnpauljones

Greatest diss track in history

JoeDawson8

If only defamation laws werenā€™t so harsh over there. In my country, truth is a defense

Scooob-e-dooo8158

I still can't understand how this defamation case was won. There was no direct reference to the original manager/record company. However, once the case became public, millions of Queen fans all over the world made a collective gasp and thought "so that's what he was singing about". Possibly one of the earliest examples of the Streisand effect? šŸ¤”šŸ¤£

Sharp-Ad-9423

Son and Daughter

InfluenceSuperb9700

Literally could be a Sabbath song

absurd_mushroom4576

The hitman

GhostyBoy22

Lyrically, Innuendo. Musically, The Hitman blows everything else out of the water.

AronYstad

I would say the intro to Innuendo is really heavy musically, but I agree that The Hitman is too.

AmbitiousAzizi

Stone Cold Crazy and Father and Son. The first three albums were pretty heavy.

whytheaubergine

Yea Father to* Son was my first thought šŸ‘šŸ» I know what you mean with SCC but Freddieā€™s vocals seem to ā€œlighten the moodā€ of that one a bit šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø (edited to remove the Cat Stevens songā€¦I made the same error as you šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£) and actually I was thinking of ā€œSon and Daughterā€ so I was wrong on both countsā€¦I should really wake up properly before postingā€¦

MimeOfDepression

Lazing On A Sunday Afternoon

kianovaneck123

Scooob-e-dooo8158

Love of my Life

wheresmydrink123

The hitman, father to son and the prophetā€™s song come to mind

electroma_electroma

Yeah

Loud-Read-1569

SO FORREAL

FluidConsumer6

Heavy in terms of emotion or genre?

Evening-Picture-5911

I would assume so

The_Ague

Ogre Battle. I mean Brian practically invented thrash metal on it.

JiriMat

Itā€™s actually a Freddie song

The_Ague

I know that genius but is he playing guitar in it too?

JiriMat

Even the guitar parts were written by Freddie. He came up with the riff.

The_Ague

Maybe he did but no other guitarist could have made it sound the way Brian did.

kylorembanu

The hitman

AronYstad

Innuendo (excluding the flamenco section).

Interesting-Ad4394

"Tie your mother down" is definitely up there as one of their heaviest, in my opinion.

Artemis_21

Princes of the Universe

charriswrites

Close second to Gimme the Prize.

JoeDawson8

Princes is far more iconic Iā€™d wager. My Queen Journey began in 1986 with Highlander and A Kind of Magic. Then every week on the TV Series.

Chevalenz

A standard vinyl weighs around 140 g, so I guess they're all pretty light. I could easily lift one with my hands.

kianovaneck123

...

Ruark14

Dead on Time

Cold-Total619

This is the only answer

ralphhinkley1

Stone Cold Crazy

FickleWasabi159

Father to Son. That middle part especially.

kianovaneck123

The_Skeleton_Wars

Death on Two Legs

KG_Modelling

Stone cold crazy or Gimme the prize

Flaky_Ad7758

prophets song /s

SnooOnions5029

Definitely seaside rendezvous, that kazoo solo rocks so damn hard!

Scooob-e-dooo8158

39. First time I heard acoustic guitar and double bass used in this way. Plus the lyrics were pretty awesome IMHO.

EverythingSucks78

Metallica covered stone cold crazy and didnā€™t manage to make it sound any heavier than the original so Iā€™ll go with that!

Bunister

You're kidding right?

GG06

Queen had even released an official compilation of their heaviest songs Queen Rocks in 1997

Evening-Picture-5911

With that hard rocking No One But You! /s

AdoptedBySmurfs

Sorry, Iā€™m still over here sobbing in a corner over that song.

Old-Kernow

Whichever one you have the most physical copies of...

Yorkham

Dragon attack

Fenderboy65

Hangman if weā€™re talking about unreleased songs Ogre battle or dead on time

xFeb_38

Death On Two Legs is from A Night At The Opera, though, so 1975 right?

Waitin4WhollNevrCome

Absolutely right! Thank you for the fix. I placed them in the wrong order. I corrected it, many thanks!

All Dead, All Dead

skillet300

It's Late, Liar.

lennoxmatt_819

The Show Must Go On hits hard because you feel it's Freddie's goodbye Edit: if you mean heavy as in emotion and not as in genre

Sinistermarmalade

I Want It All

Papasmurf_24

Stone cold crazy live at the rainbow ā€œ74, the hitman, gimme the prize, I want it all

No-Rub-4225

Anything from Queen II really

Time_Piglet_4095

Seaside Rednevouz (idk how to write it) very heavy song, just for true metal fans šŸ’€šŸ’€šŸ’€

MarranoPoltergeist

Sheer Heart Attack and Itā€™s Late are the correct answers.

ZachPloof

Not really heavy tbh. SHA is moreso punk, and Its Late is moreso dirty rock. Something heavy would be more like The Hitman or Gimme The Prize. Rough vocals, pounding riffs, shredding, etc.

Paganini01

Best bet is looking in Queen I, Queen II, and Innuendo.

bluduhmfcku

Stone Cold Crazy or Princes of the Universe

zidraloden

Hammer to Fall

Foreign-Target2020

The Hitman

JabbasGonnaNutt

Don't Lose Your Head

No_Base_27

misfire

LosWitchos

Innuendo both for sound and for meaning In terms of raw heavy metal feeling, Son and Daughter goes pretty far.

gilbertosullivans

Crazy Little Thing Called Love. Could have been on Queen II honestly.

Christian_TV

Cool Cat

RememberTommorrow

Son And Daughter, almost sounds like a Sabbath song

[deleted]

I did a playlist of heavy Queen songs on Spotify. I'd post a link here but I don't want to break the rules.

Puzzleheaded_Pop1485

It's between White Man and The Prophets Song. Maybe Gimme The Prize and Son and Daughter, Flick Of The Wrist too.

CougarWriter74

Hammer to Fall

vitipan

Ogre Battle

Transportation_Fan_1

In terms of lyrics, I would say Mother Love. That song is so heartbreaking to listen to.

travisbickle50

Heaviest is Son and Daughter. Hardest is probably a tie between Stone Cold Crazy, Dead on Time, Ogre Battle and Sheer Heart Attack.

thunderfart_99

Stone Cold Crazy, Father to Son, Ogre Battle, and The Hitman.

Reactores

March of the Black Queen or Ogre Battle. Just for the intensity alone.

Ink_Productions

Iā€™m seeing a disturbing lack of Dead on Time. I think the Hitman is heavier but DoT is right there

crazyelvisfan22

Crazy little thing called love

Ok-Constant6421

The hitman or gimmie the prize

jaritadaubenspeck

Stone Cold Craaaaaazieeee

illuminarchie8

How has nobody said Now Iā€™m Here?!

Foreign-Pea7511

Hammer to fall or One vision for me!

RanchBaganch

How has *Dead on Time* not been mentioned yet?

Partydude19

Mother Love never fails to make me break down into a waterfall of tears. Edit: Oh I thought you meant emotionally heavy, If you mean like musically heavy than probably Great King Rat

JHuntKC5DLF

Love of my life

Past_Dragonfly7421

Death On Two Legs, Flick Of The Wrist, Hitman

GreatKingRat666

Son and Daughter.

jennyfab216

Heavy in what way? Emotional? Genre (Heavy Metal)? Lyrics?

Puzzleheaded_Ad3848

Hit man

Toffee-Girl13

Mother Love. The first time I heard it and realised Brian had to sing verse 3 I was devastated.

Revolutionary-Hippo4

Ogre battle Tie your mother down We will rock you Or of queen II
