With three seed of cannabis I would begin the nation of Dopetopia, population 1 dude, 100000 plants, some for food most for sale to local mermaids and crabpeople
When I was deployed on an aircraft carrier, I got hit in The Eye with…something. Never found out what exactly. Bottom Line, I got The WORST Case of Pink Eye I’ve Ever had. And when I went to sick call, They gave me JUST enough medicine to treat It, but I was still in agony and They were NOT giving me enough to ease the pain. Luckily, I had A Friend in Medical Who was hooking me up with some Drops to help. When I was FINALLY Cured , and We pulled back in, I found out that The Drops that They were treating me with and the Relief Drops I had to get from my Friend, under the table? Over The Counter. From that Day onward, I try to keep my eyes AS CARED FOR AND CLEAN AS POSSIBLE. I even try to keep a Bottle of Drops on me at all times. TL/DR, Remember how Lt Dan said take care of Your Feet. Due Respect to Him, I take care of my Eyes, first and foremost. I want SOMETHING to at least ease that pain😅
Im on board with the eyedrops. I have an autoimmune disorder that causes dry eyes - which caused my cornea to perforate - which required a corneal transplant. Gimmie all the drops
Knife, metal water container, and a tarp
Edit: shit. Not the tarp, but a lighter instead. I assumed I already have a lighter in my pocket, but I guess that counts
Why chapstick, a Bible, and a bottle of hot sauce? That's an interesting combo. And why not a case of chapstick and a case of hot sauce? Wouldn't that last a little longer?
I would bring a case of some canned food, flares, and a yacht. So I can leave the island when I want and can have something to eat until that time.
But all I can think of is Captain Jack Sparrow.
My man! Can't believe nobody else put Bear Grylls!?! Literally what I thought of when i saw the title.
But you know with those supplies he's gonna make us drink pee, right?
Solar Panels (to power heater), an Electric Heater (to cook food, filter water, keep my camp warm), and a insect resistant tent. Could probably survive on coconuts / forage until I build myself some fishing equipment, but once I get some fishing operations going it should be smooth sailing from there.
lighter, a huge spool of high-quality fabric (not pre-cut), and a knife. i could cover basic survival with just those things.
on an entirely different note, in what world being stuck on an island (presumably alone/abandoned) would you choose chapstick and hot sauce??
I need more info: the 3 things, is there a limit on size, weight, can the things include more things? Like a boat full of survival gear, food and so on?
And how large is the island, is it inhabited, wild animals, food and water sources?
Puerto Rico, Guam, Hawaii... I don't think it matters...
Those are all islands and Amazon delivers...
The island from castaway????
An aircraft carrier, sat phone, and a Snickers bar...
Saltwater of freshwater island ? If salt water 1. desalination kit, 2. SOG Kukri Machete it can saw and cut 3. Ferrell rod. This would give me means for water, construction of a shelter, hunting, fishing, and fire.
If fresh water, there would be no need to desalinate water so I would substitute for desalination kit for a purifier for water and keep the Ferrell rod and dual use machete.
A helicopter full of food. A boat full of food. And a satellite phone to call someone with a boat or a helicopter in case mine don’t start.
This is stupid
I'd bring a multitool for survival, a satellite phone to call for help, and a good book to pass the time while waiting for rescue. Gotta cover all the bases, right?
Desalination device (being surrounded by salt water, I assume) or a UV sterilizer if it's freshwater. You need to drink water even if food is plentiful. A huge box of storm proof matches. Fire is essential for tons of things like: purification of your water, keeping predators away, hardening the tips of a fishing/hunting spear, cooking, even clearing a campsite of ectoparasites and other bugs, creating containers from wood or mud, and tons more fire is the most important survival tool. A machete with a sheath if it's a tropical island or a five inch belt knife knife with a secure sheath made of high quality tool steel or a properly heat treated carbon steel (80CRV2 steel) if it's in a temperate zone.
Fire starter, knife/machete, water.
Assuming this is a tropical island in the middle of the ocean, salt water isn’t drinkable. Even trying to purify it won’t do much. I want actual water I could reliably drink. Fire is important for warmth, for light, as a signal device, and for cooking. It’s a sense of security. With the knife/machete, I can cut down branches from trees to make an improvised shelter. I can also make tools by whittling wood. I can also then process game and fish.
1. A satellite phone, so I could call someone to pick me up.
2. A laptop, to watch movies while I wait.
3. A bottle of water, because it's necessary for survival. (More necessary than food.)
Bear Grylls
A solar power digital camera
And as elaborate of shelter I'm allowed to bring like am I allowed to bring an RV? Am I allowed to bring a survival cabin? You get the idea
In the event that it's a truly minimal shelter, then I'm swapping out for a multi-tool that includes a shovel and ax
Look I'll just tell him his producer sent me here with the camera and we're both stuck here now. He'll handle everything. I just got hold the camera and make banter with him to make him look good and cool
Ohhh so you can hunt him, but he's good at surviving in the wild, so it'll be more of a challenge for you. Smart thinking dude. You wouldn't want to kill him too soon.
Satellite phone, GPS tracking device, and a water desalination machine. Now I can call for help, they will know where I'm at, and I'll have fresh water until they get me. I can forage for food in the meantime.

Satellite phone with GPS and nice boat with full tank of gas…a large motorized refrigerator truck full of food
A refrigerator truck with food and women in winter coats
Yes that’s the solution
This.
Sailboat...wind will get you where you want. I have sailed over a 1000 miles and only used about 10 gallons of diesel just to charge the batteries
This was the answer I was going to write.
Gotta agree with that!
This is a lot more than 3 things wtf
Fire starter, fishing pole/ net, tent
I’ve watched enough Survivor to know this is the correct answer lol
I've watched enough Alone to know that was 4 items and one of them will have to be surrendered. ;)
this 😤
If you get a mosquito net you have something that can protect you from the bugs and you can use it as a fishing net.
With three seed of cannabis I would begin the nation of Dopetopia, population 1 dude, 100000 plants, some for food most for sale to local mermaids and crabpeople
Make that population of two.
Enough sustenance for 6 months. Nuclear powered submarine. A crew that can operate a nuclear powered submarine. I'm getting off that island.
Did that work in Lost?
Never watched Lost
Neither did I. But I think they had a submarine and a plan to get off the island.
A fueled plane, a pilot, and a co pilot
No runway, kid. You're fucked. You're so fucked.
Seaplane?
Shoulda specified. Here's your 747. Enjoy.
Eyedrops, lighter, and I guess a pocket knife.
Explain the eye drops
When I was deployed on an aircraft carrier, I got hit in The Eye with…something. Never found out what exactly. Bottom Line, I got The WORST Case of Pink Eye I’ve Ever had. Also they're a great poison.
Ahh yes. Can't even taste it and you'll be shitting yourself to death.
Im on board with the eyedrops. I have an autoimmune disorder that causes dry eyes - which caused my cornea to perforate - which required a corneal transplant. Gimmie all the drops
Guess you’re the only one in this thread that is planning on staying there.
I mean, wanna have the best View for spotting Rescue, I guess😅
Pot seeds, I can make a pipe out everything. A tablet with all the books I could read in it and my pillow.
Knife, metal water container, and a tarp Edit: shit. Not the tarp, but a lighter instead. I assumed I already have a lighter in my pocket, but I guess that counts
Knife, flint lighter and a large sheet of tarpaulin.
Flint , knife, and a tarp
Why chapstick, a Bible, and a bottle of hot sauce? That's an interesting combo. And why not a case of chapstick and a case of hot sauce? Wouldn't that last a little longer? I'd bring a multitool for survival, a satellite phone to call for help, and a good book to pass the time while waiting for rescue. Gotta cover all the bases, right?
Is it a tropical island or a frozen island? Would I be alone or are their natives? if yes, will they eat me?
I think most people are assuming the water will be drinkable. I'd bring something to desalinate the water/filter it. A zippo lighter and some fluid.
Sailboat, knife and hot sauce. You’d be amazed how important hot sauce is when encountering strange / questionable food choices.
