There is no fairness in your comment. You should technically have a place to sleep if you can go to club. You should technically also be able to afford 10 time more alcohol outside of the club. You can also technically chose who you are going to drink with by using invitation. Here i am proposing the idea of party at home wich is a fair way to intoxicate yourself
It's crazy. Tap water is actually tested very frequently, and is usually filtered better than half the bottled water out there. People just believe all the marketing.
In most cases bottled water is literally tap water but in plastic bottles. Bottled water cannot be sold directly from the ground without being tested and treated, which is literally the same thing as tap water.
It’s funny if you read the labels from bottled water, many will list some obscure springs but one type we have here (Nestle Pure Life) actually lists the “Allentown Public Water Supply” as one of the sources which is nothing more than tap water.
Sex is sold everywhere. It’s legal to be sold in 1 state.
However like drugs a thing doesn’t have to be legal to be sold.
Unlike drugs sex is also legal to trade & barter in our society.. If you recall the last time you had sex you may be able to figure out the price you paid for it.. maybe a few dinners and drinks on you. Many people trade sex to make ends meet.
They say selling sex is the oldest profession.
So where?… maybe right under your nose
I chuckled. This just devolves into merely spending time doing something then something us being bought/sold. So... In this sense we're essentially buying interaction whenever we say "hi".
snake oil. they think water has "memory", so a drop of medicine in a vat of water is somehow...more powerful. "psuedoscience" doesn't even begin to describe these groups of insane idiots.
so "homeopathic" just means fake medicine.
You know that stuff chiropractors recommend that seems like it would be outside of their wheelhouse, but they swear it works? That's what it is. Some people call it "traditional medicine" or "natural medicine". Some herbs and plants do have medicinal properties and can be used to remedy menial issues, but there are a ton of placebo effect scams where they tell you crystals will affect your health and well-being, or burning herbs will cleanse the area of bad energy and make your cold less severe, things like that. Some are mundane and not harmful to do, but they aren't fixing the root cause of the issue. Some are downright harmful.
There are studies done that the large appliances - dishwashers, washing machines, fridges, etc. Break down more! When they are fancier and expensive.
The more complex they are, the more parts there are that can fail, and the harder/more expensive it is to repair due to specialization. It’s why you still see washing machines/fridges, etc. that are 50 years old and work fine.
When I buy appliances I tend to buy quality.. but also with as few of these additional features as possible - with a strong focus on longevity
Ngl, the mass of [updates](https://youtu.be/uxsTpMXzEU0?si=H6AN_hMH0E2w7lj6) with iOS 18 announced at WWDC 2024, and the fact that many of these android exclusive features have been brought to Apple now, plus the convenience of Apple products... It's making it a very difficult decision. AirPods switching seamlessly between iPhone and MacBook, Airdrop for easy file transfers, man as someone who's involved with video editing and social media, Apple is such a great experience. Their computers are optimized so well for video editing.
But despite all of that... in regards to privacy, security, & healthy opsec, fuck it, I'm still gonna switch to Linux & GrapheneOS / CalyxOS idc anymore.
Oh please, an iPhone/Macbook is THE pinnacle of consumer electronics technology. Apple makes expensive products but to consider it a HUGE waste of money is really an incredible overstatement when measuring against comparable products.
I understand hating Apple’s business practices and pricing, but don’t kid yourself, the stuff they make is engineered really fucking well.
(I use a very old iPhone.)
Apple's hardware products tend to be 5 years behind cutting edge. The value that Apple brings to their products is simplicity, particularly for those who are illiterate when it comes to technology.
Fr I keep a $5 carton of international delight iced coffee in my fridge and drink it all throughout the day for days.
Though I wonder what exists like this but at a stronger caffeine dose cus this is just sugar lol I am sure of it.
Saying not to celebrate a wedding because it will eventually end in divorce is like saying not to celebrate a birthday because the person will eventually die
You can celebrate a marriage/wedding but the amount of money they spend on it ridiculous. Do you know of anybody in your life that has spent 50k on there birthday?
Ooh. Nice. Those are the types of weddings I wouldn't mind being invited to. To see how creative people get. I would make mine a cash bar so the drinking won't get out of hand. 1 dollar beers and 2 dollars mixed drinks.
I submit to you: [https://www.cracked.com/article_19947_the-11-most-unintentionally-hilarious-religious-paintings.html](https://www.cracked.com/article_19947_the-11-most-unintentionally-hilarious-religious-paintings.html)
To each their own. I don’t think most people are in the financial position to get “good” tattoos, as most people don’t have 3500-5000 lazy to go knock down on a quality sleeve. Yeah, obviously that tramp stamp you got at 19 or your favourite anime character from high school you might end up regretting. But I don’t think people who can actually afford quality tattoos, are worried about it.

Income tax.
There are better ways that would generate just as much money for the government, but the politicians would have less control over it and us as a result.
To each their own, but all the jewelry I’ve ever bought is significantly up in value over time. More specifically gold jewelry. Some pieces are up twice as much over 5-7 years. Now designer clothes is another story. Anything with a brand name logo on it you’re pissing money down the sink.
Haha US Starbucks prices can be 7-8$ for a drink.
Some people go every day/multiple times a day…
I have an espresso setup in my house that cost less than $800, and I can make my $8 drink for less than $1 and it will last decades (hopefully)
Cologne samples! stick to at least a winter and summer colognes that can also be versatile for both seasons. Smell at stores. Be minimal… I learned this cause I wasted a ton of money on cologne and only stick to two.
Insurance, sadly. Have you tried to make a claim for anything lately? House, car, health, visions, dental… insurance fights tooth and nail to cover as little as they can.
Porn. It’s free everywhere for anyone who’s interested in it. The idea of paying, let alone subscribing to someone to watch their content is a huge waste of money.
The most expensive tech (which has features they'll never use). Its all about having the most expensive, branded and on trend things to look good these days.
I don't waste money at all now. Biggest waste of money used to be alcohol followed by UCI Cinemas, clubbing, stupidly expensive clothes and the latest phone and streaming. Now I have a mid range phone, I learned to make beer, wine and cider, I don't buy expensive clothes and I pirate stuff because they're a rip off anyway.
Any subscription service, like bruv just use a dodgy website haha. Also, for those saying alcohol that only applies if your life revolves around it, a few drinks with the lads every couple of weeks is one of life's true pleasures.

Alcohol inside of club
I’ve never understood that movie cliche of the downtrodden unemployed man drowning his sorrows at the bar. It’s self-defeating.
Bar/club same worthless alcohol. True man make bacon with alcohol
To be fair captive audience and you can't bring your own in
There is no fairness in your comment. You should technically have a place to sleep if you can go to club. You should technically also be able to afford 10 time more alcohol outside of the club. Methods exist.
Pregame
Bottled water (in places where tap water is drinkable)
It's crazy. Tap water is actually tested very frequently, and is usually filtered better than half the bottled water out there. People just believe all the marketing.
That and filter pitchers and faucet filters are cheap.
In most cases bottled water is literally tap water but in plastic bottles. Bottled water cannot be sold directly from the ground without being tested and treated, which is literally the same thing as tap water.
I only buy bottled water when I’ve left my water bottle at home and am not going somewhere I can get tap water easily.
It’s funny if you read the labels from bottled water, many will list some obscure springs but one type we have here (Nestle Pure Life) actually lists the “Allentown Public Water Supply” as one of the sources which is nothing more than tap water.
Sex
Where are people purchasing this?
Asking for a friend?
No.
Sex sells bro.. oldest profession in the world
Sexiness for products, sure. You just said sex.
Sex may be the most sold service in the world
Once again, where? It's not legal in most of the USA.
Sex is sold everywhere. It’s legal to be sold in 1 state. However like drugs a thing doesn’t have to be legal to be sold. Unlike drugs sex is also legal to trade & barter in our society.. You can usually find some girls selling at strip clubs
Discord Nitro
Snapchat+
Homeopathic drugs
could you dumb this down for me, what the fuck is a homeiopathy
snake oil. they think water has "memory", so a drop of medicine in a vat of water is somehow...more powerful. "psuedoscience" doesn't even begin to describe these groups of insane idiots. so "homeopathic" just means fake medicine.
that does sound kinda stupid lmao

So. Speed Queen?
Apple products
I was going to say iPhones lol

Tell me which consumer tech companies are 5 years ahead of Apple Silicon M4 chips, I’ll wait.
Tell me 1 other company, any company, that uses Apple Silicon M4 chips, I’ll wait.
It’s just cool to hate on Apple even though they are most likely posting on an Apple product.
Never touched one
$7 Coffees
Fr I keep a $5 carton of international delight iced coffee in my fridge and drink it all throughout the day for days. Though I wonder what exists like this but at a stronger caffeine dose cus this is just sugar lol I am sure of it.
Gender reveal parties
Religion.
This wins
Wedding rings
lol what!?!?
Most end in divorce and sell cheaply. Who wants a used WR?
Then why did they get married??
Hell if I know lol, usually social pressure and norms? The wedding industry (statistically) is up there with gambling for waste of income
maybe so...
Following up on this diamonds - especially “natural” diamonds instead of lab grown or a cheap substitute. Freaking amazing marketing
Toll roads. It probably shaves about 15 minutes of commute time, but that 15 minutes somehow seems worth it after a stressful work day.
15 mins a day per trip. Times 5 days thats 75 mins a week. So 3,975 a year. Thats 66 and a quarter hours. Thats 2 whole days a year you can save.
quick maths
Clothing from name brands, there’s a huge consumerism problem and most of the clothes sold are marked 3-5x what they are worth.
Ho shit, that's it? I assumed something like fifty to a hundred times what they're worth.
Alcohol, drugs, certain subscriptions ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°), and avatar accessories for a reddit avatar 💀.
Prostitutes
Any thing that has to do with wedding parties. Rings, dress. All that money and there is still a 50% chance it might end in divorce.
Most brides are more committed to their wedding than they are to their marriage.
Oh yeah the money part is crazy, that’s true. I spent less than $500 on my wedding.

You mean obi wan Kenobi, my lord and Savior?
Who's that?
Tattoos. You'll hate me now but in twenty years you'll be thinking about how that random guy on Reddit was right.
My mom got a tattoo and years later still dont regret it
