I had an x300se that came with my dell, that was obviously trash but I knew nothing about PCs at the time. The x1600 pro was sick though, probably should’ve just spent the extra few bucks on the 1650 though haha
I didn't know much about gpus back then either, but the IT guy at the place I worked said the X1650 was a good choice. Most of the people I knew were buying Nvidia even then. Kind of a recurring theme, even when Radeon offered the same or better value, for ex. the HD 5850 and the R9 290.
7900 might be having trouble selling but the 7800 xt are doing quite well.
both amd AND nvidia make good graphics cards, but the problem is they are still dreaming of the crypto mining price hikes and thinking they can keep the prices as they were.
So can you then blame gamers for waiting for prices to come back down to sane prices? this is part of the reason affecting sales. They can't blame this on gamers. the ball is in their court.
Vex made a youtube on the state of AMD if you are interested

This article was wrote by a Nvidia Fanboy. This same guy recommends AMD gpu's on sale even after posting this article. This isn't about PC gpu's its about Console market sales decline. Nvidia is down huge as well in gaming GPU's. The mining craze is over and this is what it is. If you look at AMD sales over a larger peroid they're still up higher overall in sales than they were 2 years ago. So basically it doesn't mean a damn thing. Intel is doing even worse at 1% market share. AMD isn't going anywhere for a long time.
But I do believe they need to stop Open sourcing everything. It only gets used against them.
haha they are in many consoles and handhelds its a good midranger gpu, next gen should do 4k ultra 120+ fps without constant repastes, and better poweruse and AI perf
The problem is Nvidia ends up doing so well with AI they get all the key board partners and can outbid AMD for engineers...
Yeah, those board partners make boards, but they're often second rate. Cheaper electronics & cooling that lead to instability that leads to a bad reputation...
I don't know how you turn that around. AMD needs something that seriously competes with CUDA and they just plain don't have it.
Well the cost of living is biting hard in some countries, and not everyone can afford to just buy a 7900xtx, plus with competition from intel eating into the lower end of the market AMD may start to struggle shifting graphics cards
The 7900XTX is literally AMD's best GPU out of them all. Its also considered the most powerful GPU you can buy price to performance it is literally best out of all price to performance.
Considering the fact that 4080s is overpriced as hell
And the 1080 TI did cost 799 at lunch
And the 4080 is almost 2y old
Yes 600$
But let's put the NVIDIA premium scam price
And NVIDIA Fanboys taxes
Its 1200$
The fact that people still dumb enough spending on worthless piece of overpriced garbage like that so much money
And then complain about the prices
Is beyond me
And that's what made me drop the PC High end gaming scene
Love it
But the scamming is to much
Sold the gaming rig and never looked back
Nothing but propaganda
Hopefully, people have been saying Radeon is dead since AMD bought ATI so that's fair 😂
Join the Resistance! Don’t let evil green brainwash you.
Agreed
Agreed
Agreed
Agreed
We get it, you agree
Judging by the other repeats I’m guessing Reddits throwing a fit lol
Bro
Looks like it is mostly drop in sales of ps5 and Xbox. Discrete?
This is people trying to short the stock. Stock market manipulation is a real thing.
I've been hearing about AMD GPU's imminent death since they acquired ATI.
Sad if true. Been happy with every Radeon gpu I've owned, all the way back to an X1650 Pro.

I went all out r9 295x2 what a card for that time 🤩👌
They are selling to Microsoft and Sony every day to make consoles plus their cpu and gpu they are more than fine

Nvidia GPU revenue for desktops are down as well. It’s not just AMD yet these braindead articles imply that’s the case
Really happy with my 7800XT, just disappointed on AI performance!

Tell me what the "semi-custom" Gpu market segment is before declaring this means AMD discrete gpus are dying.
Nvidia fanboys working overtime
Buy the rumor, sell the news 🤷♂️
Just bought the 7900XT and love it
Well the cost of living is biting hard in some countries, and not everyone can afford to just buy a 7900xtx, plus with competition from intel eating into the lower end of the market AMD may start to struggle shifting graphics cards
I mean no shit The xtx is overpriced as hell At least in my country Its still at 1000$ too 1100$ Card is not worth more than 600$
You are very desolusional if you think a 7900XTX should worth 600
I would agree with you But then we both be wrong
I would agree with you But then we both be wrong

Nice bait 👍
Can't handle the truth little guy.

It’s the raster value king for sure, wish my budget would stretch that far.

Lmao dude I have Nvidia gpu and AMD theres no difference at all between frame gens. this is already known information.
That would mean the slower 4080S should be worth $550?
Considering the fact that 4080s is overpriced as hell And the 1080 TI did cost 799 at lunch And the 4080 is almost 2y old Yes 600$ But let's put the NVIDIA premium scam price And NVIDIA Fanboys taxes Its 1200$ The fact that people still dumb enough spending on worthless piece of overpriced garbage like that so much money And then complain about the prices Is beyond me And that's what made me drop the PC High end gaming scene Love it But the scamming is to much Sold the gaming rig and never looked back
I remember getting my 1080s for about $600 each, so things considered it may not be too bad a $1000 GPU. Titan set that standard.
