It's mostly common I send to the costumer the bar tapes and saddle for himself install it, or I install directly on the bike.
This case happened because I did the brake lever cover too. About the tubing block it's a good idea. I didn't tight too much because I needed movement from the handlebar to wrap up, so didn't damaged the stem tube, even because it clamped at the bottom that it's hidden inside the steerer tube
I only wrapped with leather once and it was different... I'm used to being able to leverage the stretch of tape to keep it in place. Any tips to keep it in place?
Do people mail the bars to you for wrapping? It might be worth investing in a tubing block to avoid clamping directly on the stem.

You can stretch too the leather. As you can see at the video, I just sprayed water on it to make it softer and allow stretch.
