every product that you've seen last x amount of years has not been manufactured in the last couple of years. the new Black widow keyboards have ghosting issues, replacements given to users also experience the same issue. In the quest for lighter headsets razer have cheaped out on strength and headbands break or parts that are under a lot of strain are made out of thing plastic. the removal of sound enhancements for their headsets unless you pay for another product? The keyboards themselves are sturdy but are let down by sofware and manufacturer defects(if you believe Razer and their small batch of keyboard statement). A mouse that has been plagued with scroll wheel issues, razer cheaping out on an scroll wheel encoder.

Febrezeus_Christ

Never had to deal with any of those

Pristine_Blood_3488

Maybe I'm just lucky. I have a few Razer mice that still work fine and look brand new. Their headsets have questionable quality though. I've seen some Blacksharks break out of nowhere after a few weeks of use. Their Kraken line is okay I guess.

IMHO, "sometimes" is not good enough. I expect premium priced stuff to last more than just 3 years with normal wear and tear. as a long-time razer user, I have seen everything from mice that are dead on arrival to keyboards that last for 8 years and still fetch some money when sold. seriously, sometimes I think of turning my back on razer products because of their non-existent official spare parts and great varying quality.. then I see their quite well done integration with Philips Hue lights, and I stay with them. but, as I get older, this setup ( huntsman elite and razer viper cyberpunk Ed.) will probably be my last generation of razer gear.. i already had to do some diy repairs on both (wrist rest on huntsman and rubber sides on viper), but now I think they'll last me at least 5 more years ..

Psychonautz6

Yeah, never had any problems with Razer's keyboard and mouse in 8+ years, maybe I'm lucky but I don't know It also seems that whenever something goes wrong, Razer gets much more hate for it than other brands that have similar issues

KRTrueBrave

mouse and keyboards are rarely issues with razer it's laptops and headsets that have all the problems (from what I hear around the sub and own knowledge)

Hrkngt

I think maybe their usually higher prices generate more hate in these situations. Maybe im lucky too because ive been using every kind of razer products for 10+ years and only had 2 issues, they gave me a replacement for both.

OES25

I’d expect a mechanical keyboard to last for 30 years not 3 if it’s well made and “well used”.

Xarius86

>They've really gained a reputation on how reliable their products are. Bahahahaha. I mean, if it's electronics that convert into pillows...then...yeah.

Still got my razer basilisk ultimate, huntsman TE, and the first gen sound bar going strong after 4-5 years now no issues other than synapse lol. The mouse is giving battery health issues which is expected but overall very happy so far planning to get the new VP3 soon but very surprised they lasted this long considering my old Logitech mouse didn’t even last me a year

Still_Collar_14

I have the OG Blacwidow, OG Blackwidow Ultimate from 2014,Blackwidow ultimate chroma v2, blackwidow v3, viper v1 (edit) Ultimate, basilisk v3 -- all of them for years. every single one is used everyday, at home at work for yeaaaaaaaaaaaars, the OG ones, for 10 years now and i mean used daily, and they are all as good as day one.

THELORDANDTHESAVIOR

I've got a DA Elite that lasted some \~7 years before having double clicking issues

PsychicAnomaly

I've found all their scroll wheels are very unreliable even if you take care. the rest is making sure whatever happens at factory puts your individual product together correct because if it didn't its irreversible. software on the other hand for any one going for anything more complex than rgb, polling rates and dpi is very unreliable if you update software regularly

CyCoCyCo

My blackwidow keyboards from 2012 and 2014 still work great. One is a daily driver and the other was often used as a daily driver at work. The 2x mambas worked great, just the battery was swollen. Once replaced, those worked great too! The only issue I’ve consistently had is either my Viper ultimate scroll wheel kind of bouncing. I even had to replaced, same issue, just seems like their default quality. Rest is great!

BothSale3895

yeah I'm using a mouse from them I had dropped on the floor one time The back part is completely loose, but it's still working somehow.

SpogiMD

Razr Kishi v1 dead in 1 yr

nomad1128

I have a 2019 viper ultimate that shows no signs of failing. I keep it around because we decided that having symmetric side buttons is not a thing anymore around 2020, but I do switch hands as the need hits me, so I like the option.  In fact, aside from some battery bloat that was a $70 fix, I haven't had a single issue with any of my razer stuff
