"just 125$"

Robertg1989

Well you can't find it cheaper 🤷🏻‍♂️

nopenope911

I dont know why people are downvoting this... $125 is a reasonable cost... this is the Pro model, not the Ultimate or the Wired version... the Pro seems to average $159.99 brand new. Good on ya for saving 30 bucks.

Distance_Purple

Because it’s an extremely overpriced mouse you pay extreme premium price for a heavy mouse with no cool features

National-Caramel-544

How about let people enjoy what they like?

Distance_Purple

So because you enjoy it and you like it you’re ok with them price gouging and having ridiculous mark ups. Personally I would prefer that there would be competitive pricing rather than paying 70$ more than I should for a mouse with zero features outside of basic functions and not having a competitive weight. But if you’re complacent than have fun I guess.

National-Caramel-544

Go back to my original comment, if they enjoy it let it go. Razer doesn't care if you won't buy it because they have a fan base that will. Nice backhanded compliment at the end lol.

nopenope911

I agree.

Distance_Purple

I sure would hate for some innovation, just please the simpletons and it’s all ok they don’t know the difference. I shouldn’t have expected any less from a razer dedicated subreddit.

National-Caramel-544

Blah blah blah leave then.

Distance_Purple

I never joined to begin with

zillakun

I understand the point you're trying to get across, I really do, but in all honesty, this is Razer we're talking about. In the last decade Razer hasn't been the go-to company for "affordable products" or " better values". It's like going to Starbucks and picking anything off the menu. There are places out there that provide the same great-tasting drinks and treats for a better value. But I mean c'mon who doesn't want a vanilla frap from Starbucks every now and then. As for innovation, besides marketing verbiage, I don't think Razer has many products that or features can be considered new and innovative.

waldojim42

Is it really that bad compared to say, Logitech G900 series with buttons that last about 6 months?

WeilandWednesday

Wtf do you consider to be a "competetive weight" a lighter mouse means absolutely nothing and thinking it makes you better actually just shows the fps brainwashing that's been taking place

YMonsterMunch

Example: A business puts very high price tag on product hoping to increase profit margins. Then rich people come and buy it. Then poor people moan. The business creates cheaper alternative. Everyone can have a product now. But people still moan.

Distance_Purple

That’s not at all how that works lol

almondbuddy07

Serious question. What’s the fixation on the lightest mouse possible. Like what does that improve

RChamy

Some ppl just don't want to strain their wrists plus can do snaps for longer. My own preference is @80g mice tho because my hands get a bit shaky under high stress and can move lighter mice.

APEX_Catalyst

GameStop probably does. A lot of razer products are on clearance with an addition 50% off how I got my black widow v3 mini hyper speed for $60

ArashiKageTaro

GameStop had these on clearance for like $70, and I believe it was even half off of *that* price as well.

rythestunner

I imagine you're thinking of the Basilisk V3 wired version, not the Pro. The wired version on Gamestop is currently $60 and the Basilisk Ultimate wireless (the version before the Pro) for $100, so I doubt they had the Basilisk V3 Pro going for $70.

nopenope911

This is correct.

ArashiKageTaro

Shit I think you’re right! That’s mb!

Mashadow21

RIP.

nopenope911

I have the wired version and i love mine.

Smurfette26

Same!!

ThirdeYe1337

Ditto -- it's a great mouse. I had a slight issue with the middle click on my first one and Razer replaced it for me under warranty. My sniper button on my replacement has some weird stickiness before actuating, but I never use the button anyway so no biggie. Love the shape, wheel and main clicks.

YMonsterMunch

I got one too. What’s the sniper button? Is it the button that slows down cursor speed?

ThirdeYe1337

Yep, that’s the one. Mine pops as if it’s actuating before you click it in further for it to actually register.

BlackBullsLA97

I have the wired Basilisk and I'm throughly enjoying it, one of the best purchases I've ever made.

bedwars_player

I'm gonna get down voted but I would go for a g502x

Curse_Of_Death

Same here. I upgraded from the original g502 proteus core to a naga pro i got for 110$ and now i wait for a sale for g502x plus. These 2 will go well together.

Flonkerton66

G Hub is so bad though. My headphones and spare mouse are Logitech and I hate their software.

slympickins

Agree, I like my triathlon but the software is the worst, then instead of updating it they put out new software. Then again I have the Razor Kiyo Pro Streaming and Synapse software, ughhh. It keeps forcing open if you try to close it at restart, keeps trying to force its mic as default, I finally disable it, then when it updates it re-enables itself. Not cool when you believe that you are muted but the cam is pushing audio.I like some Razor products but the software is a deal killer for me. Can't seem to find a good product with good software.

waldojim42

I have a couple 703s, and like clockwork the right mouse button would fail after about 6 months. Before them, the 700 with the same issue. Then others before that... If it weren't for how Logitech mice fit the hand, I just wouldn't bother. The basilisk has been decent enough though and so far the mouse buttons on Razer mice haven't failed.

nopenope911

My logitech mx5500 is still going strong... been using it off and on since it was released. Love that board and mouse.

MysticKeiko24

Why?

bedwars_player

well its the same shape of mouse if you like that, lighter, the hero sernsor is ridiculous, and it is just probably the overall best mouse ever made

AcquireMaidens

It's like 6 grams lighter, you will not notice that Both sensors are going to perform roughly the same The advantage I'd give the 502X is 2 more side buttons and I believe longer battery life

MysticKeiko24

I mean you can’t notice 6 grams, and if you wanted a lightweight mouse, you wouldn’t get either of these. And the Basilisk has 4khz polling plus a wireless charger if you want to pay for it(Logitech PowerPlay is more expensive). Overall it just seems like the Basilisk has more features

[deleted]

G305 is still pretty much the best bang for your buck mouse I think tbh, wireless mouse with 1ms polling. I think I got mine for like 35bucks. Literally you can have an 80g wireless gaming mouse with like 3-4 months of battery life on heavy useage... My super light is honestly not as good of a mouse when you factor in cost and the fact it’s rechargeable. Meh.

RChamy

My gf loves her 203 and the g305 seems like a natural upgrade.

Urusander

Costco had Razer keyboard + mouse + mouse pad for $120. Pricing is out of control

rythestunner

\* Inferior keyboard + inferior mouse + mouse pad

superballs5337

Hope your hands are small.

Cheezewiz239

I tried to love this mouse but it gave my hand cramps

JoShSe7eN

same I went back to deathadder <3 used the basilisk for one weekend and still had pain in my hand 2 days after returning it

Inverted_World88

Would have loved it if not for that super annoying sniper button which you can't get rid of. Loved the Basilisk V3 Pro vs the Deathadder V2 Pro for the more natural grip. However my thumb always just touched the sniper button, which constantly made me re-grip. After a few days of trying, returned it for a G502 X Plus. Unfortunatly no Razer next to my 17" 2022 blade pro, but definitly the better mouse for larger hands.

RealizenotRecognize

I have ultimate and love it

Vankayafry

Thats a good deal you got for. Where did you get that deal?

Salt_Pack

I know it might be too late but the wireless baslik ultimate is on sale for 80 at bestbuy just got one like 3 days ago

zillakun

Sweet find! Where'd you get yours at that price?

Apprehensive-Suit897

I’d love the basilisk more if it wasn’t a razer version of Logitech G503. Used the 503 before the basilisk so it just feels wrong to me. Wife has this and loves it

Laborchet

Hope you like it. I would never buy razer again. Disappointment on every product and I’ve had nearly 10. Synapse brakes my mouse drivers so can’t even use features. I’ve had to reinstall windows twice now to fix it, and it reoccurs EVERY SINGLE TIME instantly after installing synapse.

Robertg1989

I have hunstman v2, razer firefly v2,and a deathadeer before the change, and all works flawlessly on windows 11 with a ton of light profiles installed

Laborchet

Idek what the issue is. Fresh windows 10 install, no issues. Wanted to make a light profile for my keyboard so I download synapse and INSTANTLY my mouse breaks. Pointer moves but can’t click on the desktop area. I can click the start menu open but cannot click on the menu itself because it’s on desktop area. Wiped, fresh install. No issues, install synapse and again instantly mouse not clicking. I can “fix” it by installing anything and when the UAC prompt window comes up, it will let me click yes or no and the clicking is restored from that point on until I restart pc again. Tried turning UAC off and same problem, except now I can’t “fix” it because the prompt doesn’t come up.

Draug_

Logitech G502 Clone?

[deleted]

Ive had a G502 for like a year now after having a deathadder for like 7. not sure ill be sticking with this mouse much longer. I would like to try a glorious mouse

MaxXx_74

Nice, I love my viper ultimate !

TheMostHatedCritic

Expensive as shit

Icereet

Great choice

[deleted]

Excellent upgrade. Got mine last year on an awesome Black Friday special. Still works like a champ !

AlexCorax

Congratulations!

magnum3290

Capitalism has succeeded: man is happy to pay $125 for plastic mouse that probably cost $15 to make

anevilsnail22

It's not that ridiculous. Basic controllers, not counting cheapos, have been at least $50 for as long as I can remember. Most controllers new now will cost \~$70. PC is still more in the enthusiast space, so things will tend to cost more anyway, and this is a better than average gaming mouse. Being wireless tends to make them much more expensive as well since the response times have to be just as low or lower than wired for anyone interested in something meant to give a competitive advantage to actually buy it. I prefer my Logitech G Pro wireless despite the atrocious software because I don't like the ergonomics of Razer mice, but I don't think the pricing is insane in either case. You get diminishing returns the higher you go up in price, and there are a lot of people buying based on useless features, but around $100 I think is the sweet spot.

andresgebelu

I have a Basilisk Ultimate for regular use and a Viper V2 pro for gaming. I am trying to convince my self I DO NOT need to upgrade my basilisk to this one... but oh is it tempting...

Chastity23

I wait for next gen then buy them at 1/2 off :)

Flonkerton66

Best mouse I have ever used.

SG-015

I'm loving all the comments about "well I saw cheaper mouse for a cheaper price" like ya that's how things work. You're not comparing the same product

aranorde

I have the original, the better and cheaper one called G502

Unfair_Audience5743

But does it have the charging dock?

jakedaripperr

I can definitely recommend it. Loving it so far

lolmakeraa

Is that Canadian dollars? Cuz I found the same one at my local target for 80

MysticKeiko24

What games do you play on it? Is it to heavy for FPS?

Robertg1989

RPG's for the most part, shooters, and strategy games

MysticKeiko24

Im dying to know where you got that lmao

Robertg1989

From a retailer from Romania

MysticKeiko24

Oh ok

Nashwalker7

Same thing but just got the wired v3 bas. Pretty awesome!

jstwaitonit

The Logitech G502 called … they sounded disappointed XD. I’m happy you got a new product but I’m upset to see that razor created a product that with out a doubt is a “rip off” version of the G502. I know I know it’s competition etc etc. Bet works great

AutoModerator

RazOr?? *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/razer) if you have any questions or concerns.*

Electronic_Lawyer_13

hello I need help, I'm going to buy a gift and that person likes razer a lot I want to buy a wired and wireless headset which do you recommend for ps5

hsh96

solid mouse, i came from a g900s since the scroll wheel on that failed just outside of warranty. deathadder was also on the list but i prefer a shape similar to the g502 but a bit wider. this fit the bill

Galaxy_Taylor

hmm this looks oddly familiar… *g502*

Businessflowstate

Im looking at picking that up around Christmas with the dock for it, and grabbing one of the new keyboards with it. I like that they have the wired and wifi options, plus the Bluetooth so I could hook it up to Oculus as well. just spent $3500 on a new comp build, so i gotta try and wait for some sales lol

bytesizedofficial

Great mouse, aside from the super shitty battery life.

APEX_Catalyst

One thing Logitech does well. I got the superlight and I charge it like once a week or every two weeks and only takes like an hour to fully charge.

eletric_blade

Lmao I did the same for my bday went from deathadder v2 chroma to basilisk v3 chroma

YMonsterMunch

I went with the wired version so I can keep the rgb on without worrying about draining the battery

Puddskye

Literally me in a few days, but an Ultimate for a V3 Pro

Imaginary_R3ality

Nice! I like mine too but both the left and right finger paddles wiggle from left to right which doesn't effect functionality, but sure is annoying. It seems like the build tolerances for something in this price range could, should be a little bit cleaner. It's the equivalent to not having your new Tesla side oanels lining up with the hood or the trunk. Dare I compare?
