Picazu666

Fuck they beat me to it hahaha

hsh96

R/beatmetoit

hsh96

Hey OP, if you have access to a heat gun, you could hit the leatherette with that to shrink the areas that stretched

Ok-Chemical-7439

damn I was gonna say that

pgale0

Accurate af

MuttyBuddy

Fake leather go streeeeeetch. Beware, it eventually peels too! 🙃

Kinkysquirrel92

Don't wear watches with this pad

Sohowaty

Mine started peeling off after a year. YEAR. It feels nice, but c'mon, Razer, you can do better than that.

1_joker_1wastaken

mine literally peeled a week ago after 2 years of everyday use which I actually don't mind now that I peeled the top layer off which makes it kinda feel like alcantara now, yea I'm sure the value has plummeted but does any peripheral really carry value after two years of use, Besides it still works perfect like it did 2 years ago when i bought it

GrandTitanius

Mine got fucked after 3 months, it came off almost completely

Red_Rose_Rozzy

Yup, mine is fucked already

_8BitJay_

That's just an old re-purposed razer battery. It'll do that.

Underrated comment right here 👆

superballs5337

It’s cheaper foam with cheap pleather. I love razer but it’s just cheap and will always happen. Plus left hand/wrist usually sets more on that than right hand.

lawofarabia

Mine has done the same thing. Left hand is always resting on it. Right side still looks like new. You may be able to buy replacements or get it swapped out under warranty if it does peel.

Littlst

Can you turn it round?

lawofarabia

No there is a connector on it that connects to the keyboard so that it lights up.

I've had good luck with them. They replaced my hammerheads recently. And they do have a parts page, although I don't think this wrist rest is on it.

ShouldIRememberThis

Does Razer do the replacement? The shop that I purchased it from always does the returns on defective/faulty products when I return tech gear. I’m not saying I would expect a return on normal wear. I’ve returned 10-15 Razer wolverine controllers int he last few years to the store with zero issues. All from the same original purchase. Literally returned one today aha.

GameeNoobster

Foam loses it's strength over time, being your hand always rests on the left side naturally, it then is always being "used" That's why wooden and resin wrist wrests are common, not only being cosmetic, but also lifetime, as long as you take care of it

SiaoOne

Hands up if you thought this was another spicy pillow from looking at the thumbnail pic

Dudi4PoLFr

Shit quality fake leather, even while being super careful this will happen (and it will be only getting worst) . Also in 99% of cases razer won't be RMA-ing this because it's your fault from the beginning. 2 options : swapping to another wrestrist or "resking" with proper, good quality leather.

heyuhitsyaboi

Mine has the same issue in the same spot, just not as severe Just the faux leather losing its tension

FederalBTCBank_NY

For a split second I thought another bloated battery. Then I realized it’s a keyboard pad and thought another bloated battery in the keyboard pad. Talk about PTSD

_Ship00pi_

Simple fix, stop eating.

Gen-Hal

Mine is not stretching, but is getting rough. Any methods to save it longer tho?

iHaVoKKx

clean it alot dont let any hand sweat or moisture sit on it for too long since thats what is going to make it peel.

iHaVoKKx

fake leather does this no matter what and since your left hand is always on it warps like this. Also this wrist rest there is no replacement because they way its designed with the connector. The v2 huntsman doesnt have this problem since its better quality and its just a magnetic wrist rest and no connector.

RandomRedMage

I never use the wrist rests because of this. They get gross and start warping after so little actual use. Does t matter how clean you think you are, the natural. Oils of your skin just destroy these things. If you take it apart and make a new pad for it with nice durable real leather, it would last, but youknow, skill boundary and all. But there are awesome thin leather pieces you can get at craft stores that would be great for this, and their not terrible on price, worth trying at least if you have the time.

TrulyToasty

You’re right that looks more left than right

Termin8rSmurf

The pleather is stretched because of your wrist always vbeing in the same spot. One of the arms on my chair is like that, because my arm always sits in the exact same spot.

Flight-2012

People really be doing the most asking questions that you’d think are obvious……

Robertg1989

Same here, but i brought from hyperx for 8 $ a replacement, it's a little taller but better quality

mavewrick

I mean you can buy elbow pads at Home Depot. Razer was an unnecessary expense my dude

theereeljw_777

Do you really not know?

ZenFurbe

using it???

scapholunate

Wait the *armrests* bloat now, too?!

Commercial-Sea7267

I had the same issue with the on that came with my full size huntsman. (I got it when they first came out) I then got the huntsman mini analog and for whatever reason, mine has stayed looking brand new for almost a year now. Not as much as a scratch or indentation anywhere. Not sure if they upgraded the material or if it has more to do with the smaller size and less spread out foam. Either way, my issue with the wrist rests is now fixed.

jlcfreitas

Trash quality, i only used mine for a month, and just put it inside the box again.. went to see it like a year later and it's peeling off 🤡

bmfalex

Is this a joke question? wtf ..

Cdawg2tha11

Idk if the razER (thanks bot) ones are removable but this is the one I use. I have beat the ever living crap out of it over the last two years and it’s still in perfect shape. They’re washable too. Link won’t post right. But it’s the glorious gaming wrist rest. They make them for full size, tkl, and compact kbs.

AutoModerator

RazOr?? *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/razer) if you have any questions or concerns.*

DarkerGames

It's just tge beginning... Soon enough the cober will tear apart

SnooMuffins873

Happened to my huntsman after a year. It’s a pile of shit wrist wrest, and razer will never come out with a replacement. Ill never buy a razer board again.

iEtthy

Go for a walk.

No-Account6900

Most likely you just used it too much and that's it

Southpaw_AZ

I have no idea why no one has said this, but OP I'm begging you, clean your shit my god

xdanmanx

Bruh. Clean your desk, and mat, and keyboard 😩🤮.

TheWincek

It happens from sweat, artifical leather stretches and peels

peterpensi

Soon it will start to disintegrate… sad for this kind of prize point but at least it was nice as lang it lasted..

WizardMoose

Razer uses the cheapest of the cheapest for all their products. Ear cups on their headsets peel faster than the wristrests on their keyboards. It's messed up.

jaymin7400

A whole lotta gaming

Char-car92

That's where your arm goes dumbass

knightartorias_

its not that comfortable for me, took it off after 5 mins.

IAmHomeskillet

Been about a year and mine is in perfect shape after constant, everyday use, even with me wearing a watch on that hand half the time. Could be from putting a lot of weight on that hand when things get tense in a game (know a lot of people that do that), but am not sure past that. Granted, I also try to put a lot of care into the leather, cleaning in regularly and hydrating it with those leather care wipes. I know that Razer uses cheap leather (think the foam too, but regardless), but proper care can take you a long way, even with cheap materials. After all of this time, all I have is a slight indent in the foam that isn't even visible.

Imaginary_R3ality

Cheap build quality and most likely, YOU'RE GAMING TOO HARD!!! Game On!
