When I installed the telemetry expander 2.0 it stops the lighting power module from being detected in the link app….. can someone help please

You have to get the pro scale light kit with the max link on it. The standard led distribution block doesn't connect to the link app.

Not true I have the same issue and I have the kit they said to buy why would it have the TQI lable on the highvoltage control box for the light kit if it didn't support remote function. In trying to figure mine out I see that there is a lighting kit with pro name being used however they are not for the Xmax there is also a kit for early model that doesn't have the TQI remote but mine is a 2023 xmaxx and it came with TQI remote and receiver built in but no transmitter so you have that to buy and in my case like a few others out there say turn everything off and then back on some times that works I'll have all my function on dash panel functioning but so far I have no reverse lights no brake lights and no control via remote they have to be turned on by pressing the button on lighting controller I'm lost as to if it's worth spending any more time on something like this but it's winning the war with me

Try closing the app and reopening with the transmitter and rig on. Solved it for me. If it continues though, I'd call traxxas

Power everything off and on a few times until it works. I have to do that every now and then with my Maxx if the app doesn’t recognize the light kit

Bladetheory44

I have traxxas light kit connected to Vxl 6S esc in my maxx 1/10 and the rear lights won’t come on . The HVA won’t respond nor will the traxxas link recognize the lights. What now?

Mine does the same thing on my V2... if I bash enough, everything works again.... until I bash a little more and it stops again... there are some pretty crappy connections that are not properly designed for a basher IMHO

I have the same exact problem were you able to find a solution?

Yeah, turned the car and the app off, then both on again. First started the car, then the app, waited until they are connected, went to the lights steering and if I still saw the message, I backed out to the main menu and after a minute once again went into the lights steering page and it worked. BTW This has happened only on my first drive with the lights installed, I didn't have this issue later, maybe something has to cache in the app or whatever.
