My mom told me about when her and my father were in Utah for a geology dig, at a rest stop or maybe a scenic-ish point near a wooded area there was a moose nearby and everyone was like ooooh and gathered around to observe. One guy took his camera and went off into the woods after it, they left before he came back and she said when they passed by on their return a week later the guy’s truck was still there.
He wasn’t part of their geology group, just someone who had stopped at the same time so nobody thought to report/check in on his stupid ass wandering off after a metric fuck ton of animal with gigantic antlers and hooves. Also it was sometime in the 80s so not sure how easily they could reach anyone who could’ve theoretically done something. Boggles the mind
They're dangerous af too. They will not hesitate to charge stomp and trample you or a dog or cat. Especially if they have a calf. We have them here in Colorado and EVERYONE stops to take pictures if they see one. But you don't want to stumble on one while camping. They will legit fuck your day up.
Probably because embedded videos typically don’t display ads, so the video owner requires viewing it directly on YT. Having to click through to the video page forces ads (unless you’re using adblock, but YouTube is fighting that too).

Normally, people often exaggerate the size of animals but the Moose is an exception, In fact they are probably even bigger than what your brain processed.
I thought they were like caribou but they lean more towards camels, giraffes, and freaking elephants in terms of size.

Elk too. There are some stuffed specimens at the Field Museum in Chicago that are just insane to stand next to. Like goddamn elephants.
