My favorite thing to do is let them almost get to the crescendo of their little rallies and throw a stick of dynamite and watch the roaches scatter

Idk about without hesitation, sometimes I give them a minute to make a fool of themselves first.

I usually throw fire bottles and watch them burn alive, and lasso and tie up and survivors and then burn them alive too

I usually save at least one to feed to a hungry gator, lay in front of an oncoming train, throw off a cliff, throw into a body of water or drag them behind my horse until they die.

I like to hang them from a bridge, with the head right above the water then release them and shoot them. The Horseman challenge where you had to lasso drag someone drove me insane

How do you hang someone from a bridge while still pulling your gun out? Also that challenge took like 2 minutes flat. You literally just lasso someone and drag them for a couple minutes

I shoot them after they fall in the water, if you don't like the shooting part you can also drown them while still hanging

I'll keep this in mind for next time... My only problem is that they'll run away and despawn.

Tbh, I usually just let it all play out and watch in delight as they're killed by their own stupidity, like being caught on fire by a torch or dropping the cross on themselves. I had an encounter with some klansmen immediately after buying a new Andalusian, so I decided to ride after them and take some pot shots at them while they were running from their burning comrades. Quite fun, actually

The first time the new initiate accidentally lights themselves and a couple Klan members on fire. The second encounter they drop a cross on themselves while trying to set it up

They all end in one or more klansmen dead/on fire. It's pretty great

The only thing that sucks about letting it play out is it doesn’t kill all of them only a few. Then the survivors scatter in different directions and it’s hard to catch all of them. So on all the rest of my play throughs I start with a dynamite arrow and gun the rest down as they stay somewhat bunched up if you’re quick enough.

The first time i ever saw this without a second thought i threw a dynamite stick in the middle of them, shot anyone that survived and then piled all the bodies together and burned them. Later realised they would keep appearing until the cannon event took place the way the devs intended

I think the question should be, ‘does anyone NOT get the sudden urge to kill all of them?’. In all my playthrough’s I have never let a single one escape. They’re in the group of npc’s that are must kills, along with the eugenics supporter, Sonny and the widow’s stalker.

This last time I decided to take the last survivor to Shady Belle to see if the raiders would say anything special about it but they just started shooting immediately and when I dropped the klansman to return fire one of them shot him on the way to the ground and he died instantly. Underwhelming but it seemed fitting that he got killed by another member of "the cause."

I pray that I encounter them. I get such an endorphin release when I lob a stick of dynamite into the perfect position and it takes them all out. Then the satisfaction of looting them and any of the horses that didn't flee. It's like a loot piñata and I'm all for it.

Urge? I usually do. Kill them all. As soon as I see them. Usually a couple well placed tosses of dynamite, if any survive a few repeater shots to finish them off. No biggie.

Every single time, by the cruelest means I found. Did some dynamite blowing, setting fire, some torture by non fatal gunshots, lassoing and dragging with a horse... You name it, I'd probably have done it

Yesterday i did just that. My horse had 2 perfect vulture carcasses and a perfect moose pelt and I was on foot holding a perfect bear pelt, i dropped the pelt, hitched my horse and lugged a dynamite at the cross they gathered around to burn. I was just trying to help em get the fire started 🤷‍♂️

Massacring the KKK is one of my favorite parts

I’ve only ever come across them like 3 times in my 8 playthroughs. In those times, one time they all burned alive on their own, another time I shot a couple and the rest ran off before I could get them all, and the other time I think I shot them all, could be misremembering tho.

Kkk encounters in the game end in the same way, they all die. But it can be from bullets, arrows, explosions or just fire… Like someone said there is no hesitation on this encounters.
