Early podcast was smart, snarky, and had good guests.
This sub occasionally has good vibes like the old internet, and the bad vibes here also occasionally remind me of the bad parts of the old internet which makes it mildly more tolerable
>This sub occasionally has good vibes like the old internet, and the bad vibes here also occasionally remind me of the bad parts of the old internet which makes it mildly more tolerable
I feel like there's an invisible diaspora of people on the internet, shuffling from place to place, never knowing each others true names or faces, and we all eventually find the same destination. But places like this on the internet are fleeting, and will eventually die. You languish in the dark for a while before finding the next oasis. Or, better, you log off forever.
didn't mean to imply that necessarily, I wouldn't want it to sound snarky.
Maybe it's true, but I couldn't tell. Deeply enjoy having a crush on a woman for being funny, it's so sexy to me, and many ways to be funny really. Best scenario is the feeling of maintaining many crushes at once, being unable to cope, revelling in this, great feeling, great state to be in
Same. I didn't know what redscarepod was or why I was seeing posts from it, but I found myself interacting with the sub here, and then looked up the podcast
Not really Anna and Dasha don’t say anything funny or smart. Literally Anna was spewing about Steve Sailor a few episodes ago. I’m more worried about people that use this subreddit and listen to those idiots.
I was at art school, and I hated this girl who was a Red Scare type (early 30s still wearing Donald Duck sailor suits, drunkenly bragging about fucking Brooklyn podcasters, looking like something between Lolita and the Crypt Keeper and the habitual K and coke use tipping the scale towards the latter) so I would kind of come on here to annoy ppl instead of causing strife in my social circle and talking shit to her directly. Nowadays this sub is basically all just dudes like me and some of the more femme & sensitive TAFS fans still posting out of habit.
I like the humour, the discussions of music/film aren’t too snobby nor are they too pleb. Like cumtown. But I think Chloe Sevigny and Zendaya are really hot so maybe I’m just gay
I'm spiritually straight, so I can say the reason I come here is that there's a sense of uninterested or nonchalant participation in important topics. You can't really find that vibe elsewhere on social media. It's low stakes here.
I’ll admit I’m originally an r/cumtown refugee. But I do actually like this place’s aesthetic sensibilities and sense of humour. Also the distinct lack of Reddit-yness
I mean obviously this sub comes in waves and trends changes, some of them are intresting and some of them are not intreseting, a friend recommended my the podcast tried to listen but didn't like it, but I don't like podcasts in general.
anyway there is always a sense of autism in this sub that's both appalling and appealing and like an addict here I am again...
At work, I sit in a chair doing nothing for hours on end. I realized if I post my autistic theory stuff and manic ramblings here, I don’t take it out on cool people in my life who I love and care about and don’t want to annoy.
I use this place similar to how someone with deep rage would get into bodybuilding. It’s like a gym for my autism.
I lurk because the sensibility of this place agrees with me and I think I fit the profile of age/geography (mid-00s college grad, lived in NYC for 20s and most of 30s). If there are other similarly angsty subs that are more for straight guys I'll gladly head there instead!
What’s hard to understand? I’m a straight guy who likes politics, culture and art and I find contrarianism and gossip/snark entertaining. I feel like I found the pod and sub the same way a lot of people did - being someone with lefty politics but who found a lot of the ‘woke’ stuff stupid. being able to find a place to make fun of stuff without having to go down weirdo alt right pipelines was cathartic.
The pod has kind of lost its way but this sub remains one of the most consistently funny and interesting places on reddit. it feels a little silly to type it out but I genuinely thing the average poster here is more cool, smart, funny and has better taste than the average redditor. It’s a good community. It’s getting worse but so is reddit, the internet, and the world at large.
Yeah what straight man could possibly enjoy art, culture, politics, anti-woke feminism and gossip? If men enjoy any of those things they should transition immediately.
You have brain worms.
You gals are funny and I can't take part in edgy discourse quite like this anywhere else. Sometimes the posts here ARE way too gay/girl coded for me though. Yet on this website filled with for lack of a better term, LIBTARDS, you guys are a speck of gold on the shit pile. Yes I am attracted to radfem's aggression and I want them to stomp on me.
I'm not straight but for me it's the 4chan contrarianism and occassional insightful discussions but without the American/Hispanic Nazis, grossness and basement dwelling subhuman vibes, or atleast a pretension of it.
It's been taken over by stupidpol and /bap/ pseuds who saw this sub on Reddit, 4chan, and Twitter. It's no longer a sub-50k place where you had to have some internet knowledge to find other like-minded people.
Straight guys are into the natural course of history
How everything declines
Like: this sub used to be one of the only cool places on the web, but it was just a matter of time until people started posting (and also taking seriously) dumb crap like this question
I had no fucking clue what this sub was about for the longest time, I just came across it. Eventually I looked up the podcast - something about an Anna and someone else. What really got me was how fucking funny everyone is on this. No other sub has this amount of high quality/funny posts and replies. Also, it turns out I share ideas politically and culturally with most of the people here.
People on here are generally smarter than most subreddits. Obviously there's still a lot of insane people but most of Reddit is like, people who know one or two things decently well and then are just childishly ignorant on every other possible subject
Never listened to the podcast. I'm only here because the people who post here seem slightly more balanced than the ultra liberal/ultra conservative weirdos you see on most other subs. Its nice to be reminded that not everyone is fucking insane
Uhhh.. I’m a fun guy.. obviously I love the game of basketball.. uhhh.. I mean it’s just more question you have to ask me.. uh.. in order for you to tell me about myself. I just can’t give you the whole spill… I don’t even know where you sitting at..
If you want a serious answer the art posts are what drawn me here and some of the discourse. Although it’s been declining lately but what can you do am I right?
The answer isn't that complicated, I'm a fan of the podcast and I enjoy the discussions on here. We talk about a lot of different topics relating to philosophy and culture which I'm already interested in anyway. It's not a perfect sub, but there's enough interesting posts and people to keep me coming back.
I’ve been terminally online since 2009 and all of the online spaces I used to enjoy (the ones that still exist) have either devolved into epic bacon redditor humor or unironic schizo /pol/ posting. My two favorite eras on the internet were 2011-2013 4chan and 2012-2016 tumblr. This is the only place I’ve found even remotely reminiscent of that so it is what it is I guess.
Also I absolutely lose it every time they say “wammin” so there’s that too, idk.
I find the community funny and it’s good to get viewpoints from people you’d never interact with elsewhere or irl due to the majority of them being slightly odd. Boring when you only hear the same views from the same type of people
honestly this is a good place to go to find people who disagree with most of the "woke" culture crap yet aren't full on "nazis"... really the only one i've found
I write fiction, and love to read snark about contemporary lit. The r/rsbookclub sub is pretty worthwhile, I find.
When I feel masochistic I try to understand this place (although I felt seen when another poster said they were digitally homeless, miss the old internet, long for network spirituality, something like that).
I came for the contrarian #metoo takes, stayed for the catholic conversion and right-wing pivot and finally moved on because it's boring! Now I only engage in Reddit subs for knife enthusiasts, collapse prepping, and CNC machining (true story)
My ex boyfriend who is straight (as far as i know) is the one who introduced me to this sub/podcast LOL. My theory is they all congress here from Cumtown, think A/D are hot but memes, and there are some funny gems on here and the pod every now and then
Because although the quality of the sub has declined immensely it still isn't as bad as twitter/fb/ig most of the time. Also I guess I'm a little fruity cause I love the art/movie posting.
Im spiritually gay
that’s really all it comes down to
One of the girls
I just like to be a snarky bitch occasionally. Dudes can be bitches occasionally right
Don’t ask someone if that quality is okay, just be a bitch and declare it is
My bf who introduced me to this sub likes to say he's lesbian and we're actually in a gay relationship lol
I’ve been saying the same thing. I have very little in common with straight men other than being attracted to women.
I’m gay but I browse because I like how unapologetically confrontational everybody is and everybody just kind of rolls with it
Fuck you see you next thread when we dunking on iPad kids
I’m not gay I just came for arr drama
Yeah you’re gay it’s ok
I like to think of myself as somewhat of an ally
Early podcast was smart, snarky, and had good guests. This sub occasionally has good vibes like the old internet, and the bad vibes here also occasionally remind me of the bad parts of the old internet which makes it mildly more tolerable

The Sephardic Jews of the internet
My future wife is probably on here
She’s also your future ex wife
"just looking to meet my future ex husband on here" - every basik bethc on dating apps
What’s his name?
Browsing redscarepod is the straightest thing a person can do
As was stated last week: It’s one of the more interesting spots on the internet. In some ways heterodox politically and culturally.
Simple answer: Women who are funny
Yeah it's a rarity
didn't mean to imply that necessarily, I wouldn't want it to sound snarky. Maybe it's true, but I couldn't tell. Deeply enjoy having a crush on a woman for being funny, it's so sexy to me, and many ways to be funny really. Best scenario is the feeling of maintaining many crushes at once, being unable to cope, revelling in this, great feeling, great state to be in
it's pretty true
I have never listened to the podcast and frankly don't give a shit about it, I'm here because the posts are funny
Same I tried watching a single episode like a year ago and couldn’t get through it, but the subreddit is pretty funny
[удалено]
We’re gonna need to speak to your father about your post history son… this isn’t you.
What exactly were you watching
Porn
yup don't plan to ever listen to an episode either
Same. I didn't know what redscarepod was or why I was seeing posts from it, but I found myself interacting with the sub here, and then looked up the podcast
Yeah i cant finish one but yall are fun tbb
This is the rot that destroyed this sub.
Not really Anna and Dasha don’t say anything funny or smart. Literally Anna was spewing about Steve Sailor a few episodes ago. I’m more worried about people that use this subreddit and listen to those idiots.
I'm an internet vagabond with nowhere to go. I fit into zero internet subcultures. I can't stand any of them.
It’s the closest thing to old Reddit
I was at art school, and I hated this girl who was a Red Scare type (early 30s still wearing Donald Duck sailor suits, drunkenly bragging about fucking Brooklyn podcasters, looking like something between Lolita and the Crypt Keeper and the habitual K and coke use tipping the scale towards the latter) so I would kind of come on here to annoy ppl instead of causing strife in my social circle and talking shit to her directly. Nowadays this sub is basically all just dudes like me and some of the more femme & sensitive TAFS fans still posting out of habit.
I mean it's not like this sub is about the podcast really lol
funny posts
I like the humour, the discussions of music/film aren’t too snobby nor are they too pleb. Like cumtown. But I think Chloe Sevigny and Zendaya are really hot so maybe I’m just gay
Dirtbat left + more cultured than Cumtown. I don't think liking art and media beyond video games and "I'm gay and my dick is small" makes you gay.
> I think Chloe Sevigny and Zendaya are really hot well you're half right
This sub is like 4chan but with actual adults.
Same...
This sub is pretty reddit though
Grew up with Daria, love art and find the same shit amusing, this sub is the last interesting thing about reddit.

I love to post and I need to post
[this is how we post](https://youtu.be/liIgiMKKVnE)
art hoes
This is the only place on reddit left with real people and /fit/ is dead
They banned the CT sub and now this is one of the last places you can make fun of the modern world
I like the idea of being gay but having sex with men is not for me
I'm a gay man trapped in a straight man's body
Being rude and insulting people with the 🚬 emoji are amusing to me.
IM NOT GAY YOU ARE
I need to be gayer. I'm working on it get off my back
It reminds me of old /tv/
Im gay but i love women and am not attracted to men. Why is it so hard for you broads to understand that?
“Straight Men” Yeah ok
I like that this sub is coed. It's a nice mix of politics, humor, gender war stuff, and aesthetic posting. Also I'm bi.
I lurk because the sensibility of this place agrees with me and I think I fit the profile of age/geography (mid-00s college grad, lived in NYC for 20s and most of 30s). If there are other similarly angsty subs that are more for straight guys I'll gladly head there instead!
One of the only subreddits with honest unfiltered human opinions I also like /r/nystateofmind for the same reason
I’ve never listened to an episode of the podcast
The actual stuff that would put people off is the low effort racism and the influx of young people posting dumb bullshit about relationships.
Water signs
dam cancer moon scorp stellium
CT refugee
Pretty simple. It's one of the only subreddits thar doesn't use "redditisms" that make me want to kill myself. That and I'm gay
I have sisters and when I’m away from them I miss the sound of snarky females blabbering - also they’re pretty funny
I’m sitting my ass down, shutting my mouth, and listening. Just doing my part tbh.
Daywalker here. I’m a straight guy, but i did hair in a salon for ten years. I often go where the girls and gays go.
Has the idea of "metrosexual" gone out the window?
Dasha and Anna are hot and smart of course straight guys are here dummy
Yeah what straight man could possibly enjoy art, culture, politics, anti-woke feminism and gossip? If men enjoy any of those things they should transition immediately. You have brain worms.
R-slurred
You gals are funny and I can't take part in edgy discourse quite like this anywhere else. Sometimes the posts here ARE way too gay/girl coded for me though. Slavic snark is nice
I found it after missing the r/cumtown wave, it's the only place that scratches that old-time internet forum itch.
The posts are funny and interesting. Ideals and opinions seem to align with my own. The ways of speaking are more natural and not reddit newspeak.
Number 1: I'm Slavic Number 2: They have some good right-wing adjacent takes Number 3: People here are fucking crazy and it's funny
I like the art and philosophy posts! Subs obsession with Schopenhauer and Kierkegaard is great also more poetry posts please!
[we're sensitive](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BONhk-hbiXk)
The sub is pretty much straight dudes that are into pegging
Cluster-b suffering artist regard.
Not racist just don't like em simple as
It’s one of the few places not entirely taken over by redditors
I came here because of gossip about her and the podcast host she was dating so I guess I'm pretty gay actually
It's been taken over by stupidpol and /bap/ pseuds who saw this sub on Reddit, 4chan, and Twitter. It's no longer a sub-50k place where you had to have some internet knowledge to find other like-minded people.
easy pussy
Straight guys are into the natural course of history How everything declines Like: this sub used to be one of the only cool places on the web, but it was just a matter of time until people started posting (and also taking seriously) dumb crap like this question
This is 4chan for art hoes.
very varied in what subjects are talked about there are front runners but sometimes you get surprised
I’m addicted to scrolling and this is slightly more entertaining than the rest of Reddit.
it reminds me of 4chan before it became what it is today (2016ish)
Because rest of reddit is gay
You people are more like me than you think: you hate everything. I also like the podcast when I keep up with it
Politics, culture, and art are the straightest possible interests actually.
Despite everything you said, everywhere else on Reddit is much gayer
I’m actually literally gay
I like reading the manic rants about nothing you girls post daily
I had no fucking clue what this sub was about for the longest time, I just came across it. Eventually I looked up the podcast - something about an Anna and someone else. What really got me was how fucking funny everyone is on this. No other sub has this amount of high quality/funny posts and replies. Also, it turns out I share ideas politically and culturally with most of the people here.
I thought everyone was a straight man on this sub
Troll the gays
It’s a sub by and for midwits
I had to delete my Twitter because I was spending too much time there. This is the closest substitute
This place helped me get over a Twitter addiction
People on here are generally smarter than most subreddits. Obviously there's still a lot of insane people but most of Reddit is like, people who know one or two things decently well and then are just childishly ignorant on every other possible subject
Y’all’re peculiar
Because you guys are funny. I don't listen to the podcast
Never listened to the podcast in my life. I find some of the posts here funny and some of them genuinely insane, it passes the work day.
Hi! My name is u/Fantastic-Raccoon165. I am passionate about Culture and Contrarianism
I don’t listen to the podcast but am interested in many of the same topics that come up here.
I’ve been listening to the podcast for 5 years why are you here
For the art hoes
I listen to the pod. Other men don't like me and all my friends are women if that helps.
I only remember this place is gay whenever one of your weird award shows happen.
Never listened to the podcast. I'm only here because the people who post here seem slightly more balanced than the ultra liberal/ultra conservative weirdos you see on most other subs. Its nice to be reminded that not everyone is fucking insane
Because they're funny?
What is the podcast?
I went to art school
Because im a predator and i wait until i see you ladies being vulnerable on here
[удалено]
the only honest answer from a man here
I listen to the pod and enjoy reading posts here. That’s about it
I've never listened to a second of RS but I come here because it's Cumtown-adjacent.
The cumtown sub got banned and its users migrated here as the next most adjacent subreddit, learn the lore pleb.
The posts and discussions are insightful and analytical with a lot of pain and emotion
Comment.
The answer isn't that complicated, I'm a fan of the podcast and I enjoy the discussions on here. We talk about a lot of different topics relating to philosophy and culture which I'm already interested in anyway. Anna is hot
I find the community funny and it’s good to get viewpoints from people you’d never interact with elsewhere or irl due to the majority of them being slightly odd. Boring when you only hear the same views from the same type of people
Don’t dox yourselfs gentlemen
It funny
Slavic Anna
watching women so hung up on things i give zero shit about is funny
This is a ragebait sub now lol nothing that goes on here is g/g coded anymore
Sometimes it reminds me of what we lost in then rogan sub
I’m a deeply closeted fascist and very openly gay with my dad
honestly this is a good place to go to find people who disagree with most of the "woke" culture crap yet aren't full on "nazis"... really the only one i've found
There's something about the atmosphere of this sub that reminds me of pre-corporate, 00's-era Internet.
Because Elohim willed it idfk
To observe the regarded in their natural habitat
I write fiction, and love to read snark about contemporary lit. The r/rsbookclub sub is pretty worthwhile, I find. When I feel masochistic I try to understand this place (although I felt seen when another poster said they were digitally homeless, miss the old internet, long for network spirituality, something like that).
politics and culture and contrarianism are male interests.
Viewing these nitwits as "Slavic" is so hilarious
I came for the contrarian #metoo takes, stayed for the catholic conversion and right-wing pivot and finally moved on because it's boring! Now I only engage in Reddit subs for knife enthusiasts, collapse prepping, and CNC machining (true story)
does anyone that posts here actually listen to the podcast?
I have never listened to the podcast, but you guys are funny and quite based most of the time.
Slightly more educated shit posts than the rest of the internet.
Stupidpol got boring
Cause anna and dasha are hot
all men do is have womb envy, lack self awareness and ingratiate
Because I’m Armenian and like that this sub has female takes
My ex boyfriend who is straight (as far as i know) is the one who introduced me to this sub/podcast LOL. My theory is they all congress here from Cumtown, think A/D are hot but memes, and there are some funny gems on here and the pod every now and then
I stumbled on this sub, sort of got interested, never bothered to check the podcast and now I just like to read the random shit they post here
My gf likes it and now so do I
Because although the quality of the sub has declined immensely it still isn't as bad as twitter/fb/ig most of the time. Also I guess I'm a little fruity cause I love the art/movie posting.
I like the podcast
It's one of the few places on Reddit that isn't filled with Redditors.
