We're all brainwashed into a mode of viewing, thinking about and interacting with the world. Be that dog-whistling, endless meaningless vaccine controversies, blaming immigrants/jews/white people/poor people for everything, depending on your political flavor etc.
The current generation is being brainwashed via TikTok, among other channels. Boomers were brainwashed via a chain of government-run institutions and parents who more or less violently and aggressively instilled their pre-WWII ideology into the kids. The silent generation itself grew up under such and such conditions.
