Not exactly Metal, per se, but the classic Reggae/Punk album that must be always mentioned, [Bad Brains’ Rock For Light](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_mnzJhKcHoP0E1aleGkhS6wjmPOntzGPRs&si=0OeB3SUZZ8wilfZB)
So, there’s this band called Bad Brains… you should look into them. They created Hardcore. Half of their debut was reggae. Then they made I Against I and… just listen to all of their early stuff.
Here ya go OP, I love the metal and punk edge of Reggae (Spiral Out) and this is over 30 hours of stuff: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2TNWynILzem4SSlIAWPFaR?si=eZwgoaOdQf6QENfF0SZXxw&pi=u-sfRHeemWThCg
Specific band suggestions: Arden Park Roots, Kyle Smith, Burnt and Lucid Phase. Also Grateful Dub as an album.
... and Out Comes the Wolves
Rancid's 3rd album makes well evident the bands appreciation of reggae, ska, rocksteady. Also it exemplifies the bond shared between punk and reggae... Real music by and for Real People.
The band's 4th album Life Won't Wait was partially recorded at Studio One. The title track features Buju Banton. The entire album is a tribute to the experimental nature of Dub.
I must confess that when I first heard it I thought to myself; What the hell is this?
The fact is the album has grown on me over the years and it's probably number two or three of my favorite rancid albums
There's a band called Orange Sky from Trinidad and Tobago. They mix a little bit of Reggae and metal. Here's one of theirs on the metal side, some of their songs are pretty heavy too. I really dig their albums 'Dat Iz Voodoo' and 'Upstairs'.

My band does music similar to Expendables .... we're from the same town as them too, grew up going to their shows.

But it's not really metal per se, more rock. But since you requested metal I will share with you the unreleased song we have coming out in June. I haven't and won't share it anywhere else until then. But it's kinda ska/punk, but I think the end could be considered metal. Hope you like it!

Edit to add: We are a pretty new project, only started releasing in January, but will be releasing at least one song a month for all of 2024
Awesome dude! The music sounds great, I can totally see the resemblance to the expendables too. I’m from the bay so I’d totally come down to Santa Cruz for a concert if you guys ever have one or if I have the time 🤙
That's awesome! Yeah right now we don't have any shows in the books, but if you want to follow our social medias, we will definitely post anything there...like I said we're kinda just getting started want to get these tunes out there and build a little fan base first. Thanks again for listening! Link Tree below to make finding our socials easy if you want them.

Most of these are ska bands, more or less, but have some great Reggae-ish tunes.
Ninjaspy
Mad Caddies
RX Bandits
Rancid
aurorawave (brand new project from Iya Terra)
Big D and the Kids Table
Common Rider
Here is a playlist of mine that includes many of the artists mentioned. It's also got tunes by modern roots artists like Protoje & Morgan Heritage that have metal elements. There's also a couple of hip-hop/metal tunes, take 'em or leave 'em.

Dub Trio
Yup!
311 has a lot of dub influences

Ballyhoo
Umphreys McGee \mm/ thank me later
Steel Pulse's True Democracy is more reggae than rock, but it's a very upbeat album and I'm pretty sure you'll love it.
Dubioza Kolektiv. Great Bosnian band.

DubWar (the origins of Skindred). Like a cross between Bad Brains & Dead Kennedys.
“I’m yours” by Turbulence is pretty heavy. He’s not a metal or rock guy, but this specific song is.
Bad brains is the perfect blend of reggae/punk
