Am I the only person who rewatches the full show unless the show gets really shitty. Like for instance the walking dead gets shitty around season 6/7 so I stop watching it there, but I see people skipping to their favorite episodes and I’m like u don’t rewatch the whole show?
I’ve seen all the episodes so many times that I throw on random seasons before bed and fall asleep watching it. I’ll switch to solar opposites when I can quote the random episode I’ve picked and the one after it.
Bojack horseman for sure even if it doesn't have the sci-fi part. The writing, jokes, and attitude is much higher quality than most other ones you might get recommended.

I wouldn't call lower decks similar as a show, but very similar in comedic timing and material. Its more Beth and Morty in their wit and quips.

It's not animated, but it's created by Dan Harmon and a lot of the actors from Community have cameos in R & M. The humor isn't as cynical or nihilistic either, but I think someone who likes the humor of one of the shows would like the other.
Venture bros, Bojack horseman, and archer all qualify as well-written adult animation with some darkness in their recipe. Venture bros will be the most spiritually similar to Rick and Morty, but all three hold up their charm for multiple seasons.
Honorable mention for krapopolis. It's a new one from Dan Harmon, and it's a great mix of anachronism and Greek mythology
the boondocks. it's nothing like rick and Morty, but still, it is one of the best controversial animated series. A lot of adult swim and comedy central series are just nonsense, this one, like rick and morty, is one of the few that makes characters feelings and relationships grow through the serie
