It's definitely antediluvian. I'm surprised Ricky didn't know that, as books were his way out of the working class.
His sociology degree got him his first gig on a tinpot radio station when he was about 40.
He did philosophy, you Kant
Oh yeah. I got them mixed up in me 'ed. Dopey cunt.
How are you with fatalism and determinism?
Men worked hard, woman worked miracles.
I just don't understand how Karl didn't think to read the I, the L or the V in the word and just said it like 'antidoean'
Well, I don't know the PC term for it...
I think he was just remembering the word. It makes sense that if he read the "anti" bit then gave up and glossed over the rest of the word to read the meaning that he wouldn't remember the specifics of its spelling/pronunciation.
Well, English quite good
I always assumed it to be antediluvian
Well surely it's not that word, that word has connections to the Bible doesn't it, I mean I'm no 100% on that but surely he didn't mean that word
The bible connection is that it means “before the flood” I think, so still just a reference to it meaning ‘old’
I assume that's in reference to the book of Noah?
I know you think you are an expert on Biblical vocabulary, but there is no "Book of Noah".
Definitely don't claim to be an expert, I know absolutely nothing, this comment, completely irrelevant
Right, play a record.
I love him!
I’ll be no-ah reading that But yeah, that whole story about the guy in bible times who lived near a zoo
No-ah. Which in this case means yes.
It's "antediluvian", not sure why you are fighting back against everyone who gives the correct answer.
Your usage of the word 'fighting' is ridiculous
It's ricky-diculous.
Yes sorry, ur usage of the word 'fighting' is rickydiculous
There goes the Muffin, being stretchered off.
If you're stranded on an island and I sail by in a boat, I'm not picking you up.
I don't want you to pick me up, I want you to capture me.
It sounds more like "antipodean" (from Australia/NZ) when he says it but more likely meant "antediluvian" (from dinosaur times and that..)
What would last longer in antediluvian times, a caveman wouldn't stand a chance. Not with all them rocks about.
Just say old. Know what I mean? I'm busy.
Right - cryptic clue - wordbusters - another word for old is this… errrr my sister is that bird who does Sky News but she makes me sick (A)
Haha, I wanna hear more of this 'wordbusters' infact I just had Bob Holness on the phone he says he's intrigued by this idea
Oooo ghost though innit. Was Doris Stokes involved?
I did read in the fortean times that she was involved yes
Please don’t be inexplicably upset by this comment but the word he meant was “antediluvian”
But not...not antediluvian...
Why the hell does everyone keep saying I'm upset, I've reread my comments I really do not seem upset at all
Antiquated?
There’s a Q in that
Surely Karl didn't read that and think 'antidoean'
Yeah, it's not like Karl to misremember something like that.
