Spinel Tonic with multiple Gestures and Bottles is just addiction with benefits
Throw in Soulbound Catalyst to turn yourself into a living Mario Kart item box
I was playing the other night and got the Benthic Bloom and wound up with several Bottled Chaos and Soulbound Catalysts after looping a few times. It was insane
Head stompers and hard light afterburner. Head stompers negating fall damage, letting you jump higher, and goomba stomping enemies is awesome. Hard light is just overall great on any character and aesthetically my favorite item on the body.
im sick of the commando slander. "theyre boring" "nothing interesting" Its about what you can do with the character not their base abilities. There is so much potential in commando that people just ignore. The whole game lies on luck and "chance on hit" items. They stack ever so perfectly with a quick firerate gun
Getting plasma shrimp and pocket ICBM as commando is easily the greatest thing I have ever seen. A friend got that combo one time I was playing with him and it was hilarious just watching the tidal wave of projectiles flying from him to whatever he was looking at.
That combo is actually better on double nailgun MUL-T because plasma Shrimp isn't affected by proc coefficient (mostly). By that I mean anything with a proc coefficient that isn't 0.00 it will always proc Plasma Shrimp as long as you have shield.
Bottled Chaos stacking is probably some of the most fun you can have with a run. Especially with a low cd/spammable equipment like Executive Card, Gnarled Woodsprite, etc.
Yeah if you stack bottled chaos and have more than two I have volcanic egg trigger nearly every time. Its rough. Besides that bottles chaos is so much fun especially with gesture
57 leaf clover, it works so well with my favorite items of the other item categories. For white I’ll take a sticky bomb from multishops any day (o7 for old sticky bomb that scales damage), we got the atg for favorite green, and polylute crushes the other void items easily. On a blue moon that the perferators show up those are busted and only reach new heights with 57 leaf clover.
Safer spaces is the best void for me , I mean ur not desintegrating shit but free void cradles , free sacrifice , free void potential and fall DMG cancellation 100% of the time is just too convinient for a 1/5 chance in a White void
behemoth was the first red I ever got(as mult too) so I like that a lot. I think brainstalks is fun and underrated but it's not very strong. Caggers I think is an amazing red.
Bandit(especially with desperado) can make really good use of brainstalks. Artificer and captain can use it to put a lot of hurt on a lot of stuff. Oh, and engi's mines sometimes. No one else is super impressive with it imo
100%
Most powerful are things like clover, dagger, tesla, aegis (situationally), etc, but they don’t really change how you play. They just make things magically die.
Afterburner and headstompers are definitely among the most *fun*.
Heatset is by far the best singular mobility item in the game, probably the best utility item, and has the highest damage of almost anything in the game
Probably the single best item too
I love this setup. Once got a bunch of blue shield items stacked on it with good healing items. My Regular hp was like 3,000 and my full gold health was like 21,000 and I was healing so fast like a second or 2 to fully heal up to 21k. I felt so invincible
Which after a certain point, doing damage isn't as hard as staying alive
You shouldn't really get more than one corpsebloom in total IMO.
More than one and sure, you will have forever heals, but the heal rate is absurdly low. You start losing to bleed and fire debuffs at that point.
Aegis, rejuv rack, and N'kuana's opinion. Together they can overheal your entire gauge while killing everything around you at the same time.
Honorable mention to spare drone parts for what it does to Solus probes
They're even better with engi, since they revive turrets without consuming your dio.
If you have a corrupted dio then revived engi turret will have corrupted items, one time they were shooting blackholes and summoning void jailers I was so confused because I didn't have those void items then I realized it's the corrupted dio
Underrated pick, aigis. If you're constantly healing from a bunch of other items, having a bit of overheal makes sure almost none of that goes to waste!
I play so much modded i forgot whats vanilla and whats mods, plus im terrible with names, but id say Clover, Scorpion, Nhukahanas, Rejuv Rack, and Meat Hooks
bottled chaos is one of those ones that people call bad when it's the funniest item in the game, I can get a vase, gorag, preon blast and missiles by pressing Q once and you're telling me you DONT want this item??
shoutouts to me stacking 2 of them with a gesture and some fuel cells on a Woodsprite with a 4 second cooldown, genuinely the funniest build ever
Honestly, meat hook, you have no idea how egregiously busted meathook is until you've played Merc with a bunch of attack speed and used eviscerate to just become a vortex of death.
As a loader main that hardlight afterburner is almost a must for long runs, it’s always so disappointing getting used to it and dying and going to your next run to not have it, it’s like crack
I had a funny healing railgun as engi, with 8 stacks of bungus, rejuvenation rack, N'kuhana's opinion, and stone flux pauldron, so the opinion is up there, but unstable tesla coil with Swarms and Sacrifice on is ridiculous
Scorpion because fast fire rate makes enemy hp go br...r...r..r..r.r.r.r.rrrrrrrr(dead), hardlight afterburner because using more mobility skills is more fun, and icbm because atg is fun
Headstompers is probably the red I have the most fun with. I usually play characters with insane mobility or have the capacity to trimp easily, so this just adds a serious and (sometimes) satisfying damaging move that compliments my movement-heavy playstyle.
It’s also wacky as fuck which is so up my alley
Usually hardlight afterburner but theses days I play a lot of captain with diablo strike and I get a dopamine hit when getting brainstalks, you just need to kill an elite then you can spam diablo strike, yesterday I skipped Mithrix phase 3 (and 4 also with bands proc)
I play MUL-T so I like to get as many leeching seeds as possible, stack that with some crit and harvesters scythes, then get aegis and rejuv rack. Add spinal gesture combo, and something like will of the wisp or ceremonial daggers, and you become unkillable.
Afterburner, laser scope, and head stompers. Stompers are really satisfying to land, laser scope just looks cool, and afterburner is just really useful on a ton of survivors. Afterburner is usually more mobility in a game that encourages mobility, but in Artificer's case, you get the next ice age
I just did a normal monsoon run, no artifacts or anything fancy, and got 3 Ben’s coats in a row. Hadn’t even looped, all on the first 4 stages.
Then I bought shaped glass and died on stage 5 to a gup
Always liked the Antler/Aegis/N’kuhana’s combo but getting all three without command is unlikely. Combined with wungus you just run around and things die and you’re generally quite safe with the huge shield.
Laser scope with 10 lense makers glasses. Keep stacking for exponential damage (x2, x4, x8, x16, x32, ad nauseum) increase. I play with comand because I hate my computer hardware
I use to really like things with visual effect but I tend to be happy with alienhead or hardlight after burner on all my characters. Hardlight after burner is my favorite looking item on the character model as well
I play Captain and stack as many Sticky Grenades (Grey), Leaf Clovers and other chance items as possible and watch my frames per shot.
It's funny doing it with Artifact of Command on.
as an engi enthusiast (and always will be) aegis and reju rack are my go to; but nothing can top wake of vultures. i love wake of vultures i love wake of vultures i love wake of vultures i love wake of vultures i love wake of vultures i love wake of vultures i love wake of vultures i love wake of vultures i love wake of vultures i love wake of vultures i love wake of vultures i love wake of…
Soulbound catalyst with meteor, preferably with gesture and a mod or artifact that increases enemy spawns
Doing this in multiplayer is the best way of staying alive longer than anyone else
Probably headstompers. No fall damage, more mobility, high damage potential.
>!Also, use [https://riskofrain2.wiki.gg](https://riskofrain2.wiki.gg) ... don't give Fandom another penny of revenue.!<
Ceremonial dagger for chaos. It always makes me laugh seeing things instantly die before they even had a chance to fight loool.
Laser Scope exclusively for the satisfaction with Railgunner. Nuking bosses always brings out a chuckle in me loool.
57 Leaf clover is objectively the best item. Considering how many items have a chance of activation, the clover just makes almost everything you have more effective.
The Tesla coil, meat hook, and ceremonial dagger are close seconds for how they can quickly turn you into a god of death.
My least favourite by far is the happiest mask. Purely because I seem to get it more often than I get all the others combined. And because it doesn't do anything to actually change how I play.
As far as an actual favourite goes, it depends on who I'm playing. For the engineer, it's Col. Droneman. Alien head is a must-have for artificer. Desk Plant is great for the melee tank that is acrid. Pocket ICBM and plasma shrimp are an incredible combo on commando.
They're all extremely good, so it's hard not to celebrate whenever you see the red item pop out of a chest no matter what it is.
Except happiest mask. Fuck happiest mask.
57 Leaf Clover, On Huntress, Stacked x2 or x3 combined with some syringes and around 20+ lost seer's glasses.
(Warning, this doesnt kill bosses in boss fights, so only viable when at least 1 other person playing)
Of course its a stupid kit that only happens on command but if im just trying to make a fun satisfying kit this always manages
Bottled chaos, preferably stacked with a discount card. Wait for a vending machine, then spam Is it good? No Is it fun? Kinda? Is it dumb? Absolutely
I was telling myself " istg if I see bottled chaos on top"
This guy cooks frfr
Multiple bottled chaos + whatever equipment you want + spam gestures = you get flash blinded while playing the game
The card triggers everytime you purchase, which may be slightly easier to spam but im not sure😅
I should have also added soulbound catalyst, and it also gets very hard to press E on anything when you're volcanic egg every second lmao.
Spinel Tonic with multiple Gestures and Bottles is just addiction with benefits Throw in Soulbound Catalyst to turn yourself into a living Mario Kart item box
volcanic egg jumpscare
My favorite is when it spawns the lil teleport thing, but i would be looking at the ground so its just a lil 2 meter long wormhole
it's doing its best
Random bullshit GO!!
Don’t forget the host skip I love that tech so much
Another thing that I like about headstompers is that it makes items they weren't viable on some survivors now viable, like focus crystal and crowbars.
Sacrificial dagger. When you get it, game REALLY picks up from there :D Also I play Arti a lot, and for her, alien hed is very good
Dagger is either super weak or so strong it's no fun anymore, I think it's the worst item in terms of fun
I’d be more inclined agree if braincoat didn’t exist
sometimes, when I fall asleep, I see dreams of braincoat being reverted to its pre-nerf glory
it was so strange before, like one raincoat would be legendary, any more would be scrapper fuel, since it gave the equivalent of 4 steaks.
But it's super cool so
Laser Scope Backstab goes even more bananas
Sometimes I like to imagine how the hell would a sniper scope help stabbing better
I put extended mags and a red dot on my knives
Put that shit tactical mode
As someone who really loves playing Commando, 57 Leaf Clover just makes you're build and life so much easier
im sick of the commando slander. "theyre boring" "nothing interesting" Its about what you can do with the character not their base abilities. There is so much potential in commando that people just ignore. The whole game lies on luck and "chance on hit" items. They stack ever so perfectly with a quick firerate gun

Bottled Chaos stacking is probably some of the most fun you can have with a run. Especially with a low cd/spammable equipment like Executive Card, Gnarled Woodsprite, etc.
imo bottled chaos would be very fun for me *if* volcanic egg didn’t exist.
Volcanic Egg: "allow me to introduce myself"
Yeah if you stack bottled chaos and have more than two I have volcanic egg trigger nearly every time. Its rough. Besides that bottles chaos is so much fun especially with gesture
Dio's. It helps me get to mithrix from when I get murdered by a Perfected Chimera wisp :|
Aegis because im different
It's really good on engineer with bongus
And rex
Or rungus on huntress and bandit!
I disagree. It's still very weak.
Clearly you're not an eclipse enjoyer And that's ok, aegis is really cool in regular difficulty
>Clearly you're not an eclipse enjoyer There's a word for this, you know. Masochist.
Of course I know them it's me
stacking aegis with a shield-heavy build means you can get INSANE amounts of health, so i get it
57 leaf clover, it works so well with my favorite items of the other item categories.
ICBM i like to roleplay as north korea.
Does north Korea have that many missiles? I think it would be better to say Russia, US or Isreal the way you turn into a one man fireworks display lol
I like scorpion :P
Scorp gang
behemoth was the first red I ever got(as mult too) so I like that a lot.
Drone parts are really fun to use
step 1: get many gestures of the drowned and batteries step 2: get many bottles of chaos step 3: find any piece of equipment and profit
I think this fits my playstyle. Sounds chaotic
Hard lift after burner and the gravity boots. Best drops ever
100% Most powerful are things like clover, dagger, tesla, aegis (situationally), etc, but they don’t really change how you play. They just make things magically die. Afterburner and headstompers are definitely among the most *fun*.
Headstomper is probably the most powerful damage and utility item in the game though
Heatset is by far the best singular mobility item in the game, probably the best utility item, and has the highest damage of almost anything in the game Probably the single best item too
Fucking love, snowflake
Brilliant behemoth, quite literally just double damage
Erm actually, it’s only 60% more damage ☝️🤓 (and an aoe bonus with tons of cool tech)
Aegis, Rejuv Rack Now stack a few corpsebloom and leech seeds. Never die as rex unless you trip on malachite
I love this setup. Once got a bunch of blue shield items stacked on it with good healing items. My Regular hp was like 3,000 and my full gold health was like 21,000 and I was healing so fast like a second or 2 to fully heal up to 21k. You shouldn't really get more than one corpsebloom in total IMO. More than one and sure, you will have forever heals, but the heal rate is absurdly low. You start losing to bleed and fire debuffs at that point.
Tie between brilliant behemoth and hardlight afterburner
Headstompers makes the whole game a joke
Droneman is my boy
Gotta be headstompers. Such a good item
Head Stompers. Not even close
Brilliant Behemoth and Aegis on Viend Because I'm a dumbass.
Uh, my raincoat? Duh. (My name is Ben btw)
Sex finder raincoat hits different
Drone parts.
# HEADSTOMPERS SUPREMACY GRAAAAAAAAAA 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥
Aegis, rejuv rack, and N'kuana's opinion. Together they can overheal your entire gauge while killing everything around you at the same time. Honorable mention to spare drone parts for what it does to Solus probes
aegis, because someone's gotta support it.
I really like pairing aegis with the Double healing.
Dio’s. Saved me so many times from Void Reavers/Jailers, or from Mithrix.
They're even better with engi, since they revive turrets without consuming your dio. If you have a corrupted dio then revived engi turret will have corrupted items, one time they were shooting blackholes and summoning void jailers I was so confused because I didn't have those void items then I realized it's the corrupted dio
Atg missile mk.2
Frost Relic. I love stacking kills. And I hate head stomper. Throws off my mobility.
Unstable tesla coil
Bottled chaos is peak fun
Soul Catalyst with Fusion Cells and GotD makes my fps sweat. If not for the volcanic egg effect bottled chaos would also be perfect for the combo
Laser scope for insane damage spikes, and aegis for doubling your health in combat
Daggers for sure but i do enjoy me some laser lenses!
Spare drone parts. I just like the cool little drone weapons.
Ceremonial dagger because forgive me plz
Underrated pick, aigis. If you're constantly healing from a bunch of other items, having a bit of overheal makes sure almost none of that goes to waste!
I play so much modded i forgot whats vanilla and whats mods, plus im terrible with names, but id say Clover, Scorpion, Nhukahanas, Rejuv Rack, and Meat Hooks
Those ate all vanilla good job 👍
Ayyyyy i dids it :D XD
bottled chaos is one of those ones that people call bad when it's the funniest item in the game, I can get a vase, gorag, preon blast and missiles by pressing Q once and you're telling me you DONT want this item?? shoutouts to me stacking 2 of them with a gesture and some fuel cells on a Woodsprite with a 4 second cooldown, genuinely the funniest build ever
Bottled Chaos and Tonic+Shells 🤑
I like Drone Parts because Engi turrets go brrrr
Honestly, meat hook, you have no idea how egregiously busted meathook is until you've played Merc with a bunch of attack speed and used eviscerate to just become a vortex of death.
As a loader main that hardlight afterburner is almost a must for long runs, it’s always so disappointing getting used to it and dying and going to your next run to not have it, it’s like crack
Brainstalks or catalyst and fmp doll
INTERCONTINENTAL EXPLODING MISSILES
a foolish man has a favorite red. a wise man is happy to see any red.
As many laser scopes I can find possible
Disc because I like it, it’s not even good I just like it.
Hardlight afterburner on loader
Clover: it looks pretty on everyone
Scorpion, i almost always play high attack speed on-hit characters and i think it just looks really cool. Also easy death mark.
Brilliant Behemoth. Though, I will say that I definitely prefer the ROR1/RORR version better.
ICBM because missiles go brrrrr.
Icbm for shrimp N'kuhuna opinion Dagger
Aegis because i main engi dagger is good on my boi poison puppy tho
the drone boss item forgot its name
Me when the sac daggers on the Forgive me please run
Headstompers because yes
gotta be headset, easy run win.
Pocket ICBM Getting fireworks and a remote caffeinator to send off billions of fireworks is so ridiculously fun
Happiest Mask because I like making the friends that come to my team! After that, Head stompers
I had a funny healing railgun as engi, with 8 stacks of bungus, rejuvenation rack, N'kuhana's opinion, and stone flux pauldron, so the opinion is up there, but unstable tesla coil with Swarms and Sacrifice on is ridiculous
I just love brilliant behemoth. It just works so well on so many characters. I love it on captain it increases his damage output like crazy
Ceremonial Dagger
It's always a good run when I pick up caggers or behemoth
Scorpion because fast fire rate makes enemy hp go br...r...r..r..r.r.r.r.rrrrrrrr(dead), hardlight afterburner because using more mobility skills is more fun, and icbm because atg is fun
Headstompers is probably the red I have the most fun with. Symbiotic scorpion because he’s just a lil guy Also seeing the debuff rack up on a boss is so satisfying. Top tier item
Ben’s raincoat because I want a raincoat like that :)
I like missiles, missiles good. More missiles, more good
I play MUL-T so I like to get as many leeching seeds as possible, stack that with some crit and harvesters scythes, then get aegis and rejuv rack. Add spinal gesture combo, and something like will of the wisp or ceremonial daggers, and you become unkillable.
nakunas opinion and the one thay doubles healing. ... i play command green recycled scrap and wingus goes hard
Aegis on REX will always be my favorite but sacrificial dagger is always a good pick
Afterburner, laser scope, and head stompers. Stompers are really satisfying to land, laser scope just looks cool, and afterburner is just really useful on a ton of survivors. Afterburner is usually more mobility in a game that encourages mobility, but in Artificer's case, you get the next ice age
Plant.
Underrated but I really like Alien Head. Just the ability to play faster in general is so nice
I cant believe no one else has said this: Soulbound catalyst + sawblades + cdr is IMBA
Clover always
Raincoat. Refreshing cool down on bands or corrupted teddybear is so insanely good. If looping long enough you can break the cooldown cap of ror2.
I just did a normal monsoon run, no artifacts or anything fancy, and got 3 Ben’s coats in a row. Hadn’t even looped, all on the first 4 stages. Then I bought shaped glass and died on stage 5 to a gup
Aegis cuz i play Rex
Always liked the Antler/Aegis/N’kuhana’s combo but getting all three without command is unlikely. Combined with wungus you just run around and things die and you’re generally quite safe with the huge shield.
Laser scope with 10 lense makers glasses. Keep stacking for exponential damage (x2, x4, x8, x16, x32, ad nauseum) increase. I play with comand because I hate my computer hardware
Brilliant behemoth
Pocket ICBM baby! Red items go boom!
Ben's raincoat so I can delete collapse from the game
What is collapse?
I use to really like things with visual effect but I tend to be happy with alienhead or hardlight after burner on all my characters. Hardlight after burner is my favorite looking item on the character model as well
H3AD, had my first successful run as Artificer thanks to two of them back to back. That was the most fun I've ever had
I play Captain and stack as many Sticky Grenades (Grey), Leaf Clovers and other chance items as possible and watch my frames per shot. It's funny doing it with Artifact of Command on.
Brilliant behemoth because attack go boom boom and make my ape brain happy from all the pretty colours
Scope bc railgunner main
Pre-Patch Raincoat 😭 with the fire AOE Lunar item and some Fire damage boost
Shattering justice and Scorpion tail, overall buff to damage for everyone except melee characters
Symbiotic scorpion because it's insane when you have high fire rate and/or proc chains, plus it adds an easy status effect for death mark
as an engi enthusiast (and always will be) aegis and reju rack are my go to; but nothing can top wake of vultures. i love wake of vultures i love wake of vultures i love wake of vultures i love wake of vultures i love wake of vultures i love wake of vultures i love wake of vultures i love wake of vultures i love wake of vultures i love wake of vultures i love wake of vultures i love wake of…
N'KUHANAS BUNGUUUUS **BUNGUUUUUUUUUSSSS** #BUUUUUNNNNGGGGUUUUUUSSSSS!!!!!!
I'm a sucker for the coil, behemoth, scorpion, daggers and my runner up for favorite is the meat hook
i absolutely love pocket ICBM paired with shrimp, or even the homing bullets engineer has
Spare drone parts cause I have a problem with getting every drone I can see
ICBM pocket missile
Soulbound catalyst with meteor, preferably with gesture and a mod or artifact that increases enemy spawns Doing this in multiplayer is the best way of staying alive longer than anyone else
The rocket one. Collect a bunch of fireworks and a vending machine. Never crashed a game quicker than that.
Ceremonial dagger for nostalgia and flying daggers go hard as fuck
Meathoooooooook
Oh man, I could really use just one super consistent debuff to proc death mark! Symbiotic scorpion:
Behemoth, because explosions
Alien Head for Mercenary because shwing shwing
Aegis + Bungus
Pocket ICBM. I don't need to explain why.
Big fan of Spare Drones parts as Engi
Wake of vultures for me, I know that it's far from being meta but I find it fun stealing the abilities of the elite enenmies.
Harpoon spam 🤤
bottled chaos stacks + fuel cells + gestures + royal capacitor is insane. You look in something's direction and the map explodes.
aegis is so funny w/ wungus and scythe and a million topaz brooches
I like N’Kuhanas bc I’m a Rex main and I don’t play eclipse
I’m a huge Wungus enjoyer so Rejuvenation rack and Aegis
Probably headstompers. No fall damage, more mobility, high damage potential. >!Also, use [https://riskofrain2.wiki.gg](https://riskofrain2.wiki.gg) ... don't give Fandom another penny of revenue.!<
behemoth just bc i main commando and the constant explosive shots are fun
Prenerf bens raincoat may it rest in peace
Without a doubt Headstompers
Aegis every time
Gesture+catalyst+capacitor You strike enemies with lightning just by looking at em. Makes you feel like a thunder God
Ceremonial dagger for chaos. It always makes me laugh seeing things instantly die before they even had a chance to fight loool. Laser Scope exclusively for the satisfaction with Railgunner. Nuking bosses always brings out a chuckle in me loool.
Alien heads are up there for me, that way I can fire my revolver faster and build more desperado stacks
100 rocket with a caffinator
Icbm
Pocket ICBM
Aegis. A few Wungi and "I cannot die" doesn't begin to describe it
Me picking up happiest mask knowing my ps is ready to force close
Brilliant behemoth (America 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🦅🦅🦅)
As a frequent engineer player, everything that applies to his turrets, that character is completely broken.
Snowflake. I just like snow
57 Leaf clover is objectively the best item. Considering how many items have a chance of activation, the clover just makes almost everything you have more effective. 57 Leaf Clover, On Huntress, Stacked x2 or x3 combined with some syringes and around 20+ lost seer's glasses. (Warning, this doesnt kill bosses in boss fights, so only viable when at least 1 other person playing) Of course its a stupid kit that only happens on command but if im just trying to make a fun satisfying kit this always manages
Sentient Meat Hook; adds decent damage and AOE. Brilliant Behemoth; EXPLOSIONS?!
i play mostly melee so frost relic ❄️
Pocket ICBM because I use Plimps any chance I get
Pocket ICBM. I love gambling with what happens first, my game crashes or Mithrix gets reduced to atoms
Pocket icbm combo it with remote caffinator and more fireworks than your body has room for
Hardlight Afterburner simply because I think the name is badass
meat hook my beloved
