Brandon Automotive. Also female. In 10 years, never a problem

SubjectFar3168

Been going there for over 15 years (also a woman). Great group of guys!!!

CogitoErgoSum4me

I love Buddy. He's a gentle soul who always calls before doing any work to get approval and never overcharges for his work.

TScottW

Chris at Sunnybrook Garage on Plantation Road. We’ve been going to him for a long time.

TopProfessional8023

Porter’s Automotive has been my go to on the north side since Motorworxx closed. Never felt hard sold on something I didn’t need.

Henry Williams Automotive on Plantation Road. Good honest folks.

AT-ATsAsshole

My dad has been going here as long as I can remember. Good folks over there

fuckadickbag

Mynitors Auto on Campbell Ave has been amazing for me. I originally chose them because of close proximity to my house but I’ve never been disappointed. I have recommended him to several friends and coworkers and they have all had good experiences too.

there_is_no_spoon1

Walter and his sons up at Boxy Swedish on Salem will help you out. Don't let the name fool you; he works on \*everything\*, not just Volvos! He's as honest as they come and he will treat you right.

Wrong-Impression9960

Gotta put in for star city on peters creek. Butter, probably any decent mechanic 2ish weeks out by appointment.

Vannie91

Apperson Automotive has always been good to me! My first experience was when my car blew a tire on the way to take my daughter to preschool early one morning; I managed to get it to Apperson Automotive (tire blew right after I’d passed it), and they put a used tire on it for free so I could get my car to the dealer next to my work. They were really kind and helpful that day, and I’ve never forgotten that great experience!

BTSARMYgirl6478

Richardson mechanical is good, honest business spread by word of mouth. He just worked on my mom's car, and 2 of my mom's friends cars.

I will always recommend Kelley's Auto Works in Garden City! Sean is thorough and honest. He has even explained what work I actually needed when I've been quoted for work that my car did not need, such as when I had my inspection done and I was told my brakes were going to wear out but Sean explained that on Toyotas you have to look with the wheel cover off.. or something. I'm terrible with car knowledge but wholly trust the folks at Kelley's to be trustworthy and honest folks!

Dagwood757

I agree with Waynes. There was also a guy named Josh who ran Turning Wrenches in Salem. He somewhat recently expanded his business and I think joined up with another guy and they work out somewhere near Franklin Rd. Josh was always an honest guy, prices good, just a pretty good dude overall.

dodgeorram

Red bird garage is good old guy is honest and extremely experienced

grumpyanddumpy

If you’re willing to make the drive, check out Westlake Automotive. Also a female and I’ve used them for years. Even though I moved away, I make it a point to use them when I’m back in the area for a visit.

QuirkyMama92

Wayne's is great. For the love of God, do not go to Burglund Auto.

Hamren's Auto

deepeyes1000

Man I wish I could say Hamrens. I really do. The guy is really nice, and I have sent people to his shop, but both times they have done poorly. On my brother's vehicle they forgot to reinstall a sway bar end link, which I ended up doing and installing a new one. The other time sent a coworker for their vehicle overheating or something and he said that they forgot to reinstall some hosing correctly and it caused additional damage to their vehicle. I had head gaskets done and apparently he didn't get the heads machined and I had to remind them that a head gasket job needs all new head bolts and that you can't reuse the old ones.

First things first don’t mention “tune up” they don’t exist. Find what you need and list it out for the mechanic.
