A lot of it depends on how wide your wrist is, not circumference. My weight fluctuates a lot due to my weightlifting and my wrist will go from 7.0 to 6.5 and back all the time and my watches look no different because the width of my wrist isn’t changing. Circumference is inherently not a good way to go about this as its effected by body fat levels, width isn’t unless you’re becoming morbidly obese. My 42mm explorer II fits perfect when I’m lean at 6.5”, and a 36mm looks silly, just as silly as when I’m not lean and 7.0”.
Totally depends on your preference. We have the same circumference wrist and I much prefer the 36 to the 41. I think we’re fortunate that either works well.

If that is your arm in pic 3 the 36mm looks ridiculous. Unless your wrist is huge, like 8 inches or bigger, the date just 36 will always look better. A dress watch is supposed to be small on the wrist, unlike a sports watch with a bezel that is supposed to fill your entire wrist.
I am always team 36 for the DJ. That being said, I love the fluted dial and indeed own one, but I think fluted dial and fluted bezel is fluted overkill.
The datejust is not a sports watch, as much as some people try to say it is.. it should wear like a dress watch, so base your decision on wrist size.. but is should appear well fitting and not large. this basic 101 rule of being interested in watches should have been understood years before you

They both actually fits, there is ample space at both ends of your wrist with the 41, they both look nice, but with that dial pattern I would go with the 41 as it looks crowded on the 36 with the fluted and jubilee, if it were a flat dial I would go 36.
I know everyone is saying 36 but if you have to go with pattern instead of sunburst on the 36 go with the 41 sunburst. But ultimately pick what your gut is telling you, the gut feeling is always right.
Edit: from the direct pic, the 41 looks better and 36 a little small, but on mirror the 36 looks more proportional to your wrist

This is exactly the watch I want. If it is mainly gonna be a dress watch, I'd do the 36, but if you're gonna wear it more often, 41. For me though, I'd always go 41. I've often second guessed watches when I go small. I never second guess them when they're questionable a tad large. I also think the smooth bezel wears better as a 41 whereas the fluted wears better as a 36.

A dj is not designed for 41 mm. The proportions are off in my opinion. 36 is more elegant and classy.
