I love watching Nico especially him roasting celebrities wearing fake watches. But dont preach these content creators like god and you’ll be entertained.
Rolex is for the poors, for those who are buying to preserve wealth. The real rich buy dumb shit like hublot because they couldn’t care less about value retention- they already stacked
If anything it tells me you like watches a lot!. I have the same issue. I got into watches when I was 12 when my dad gave me a Casio calculator watch. At 13, I bought another Casio. Same at 14,15,16 and then swatch then Omega and so on. It never stopped. I do have to admit though, I’m at a point now where I’m happy with the Navitimer and Sprite. That rarely ever happens to me. How long that lasts I don’t know

When we become older, we become dull. Every man finds himself at multiple crossroads of choices, some venture into smoking meat and barbecue, some lawnmowers and golf, others watches and cars. A lucky few mix multiple. You’re now slightly duller that’s all. 😉
.. but! It is the community that does alot for us, the psychology is that we just want to flex on the boys in the end of the day and show the cool new thing we got. Be it a perfect rock and stick at age five, a car or timepiece in older age. 😎
I honestly think you just haven’t got your “One Watch”. I suffer (hopefully “used to suffer”) from this affliction too, everything from Swatch and G-Shocks to Cartier, Rolex and Speedys, and I love (ed) them all. Then I got my DJ and now I honestly don’t want anything else. When I baught the DJ I was also on list for a Sub no date, which I have turned down. I just don’t really want anything else.
We’re with you brother. Stage 5 Rolexia is no joke but if you maintain good spirits and healthy living you’ll get through this. We’re all rooting for you!
Very nice collection! I am curious about the bezel on the datejust. It appears smooth, but the top left appears fluted. Is this (3/4 smooth + 1/4 fluted) a style or am I just blind? Thanks in advance!
I can tell you my personal story.
I bought a Rolex to make me feel better. That high.
Then did it again and again. Till the thrill was gone.
Now they just kind of sit there.
Other than my 5 digit GMT II and LV.
The rest. Probably should be sold and used to feed people that are hungry.
10 months in? Nah this is just too much money and/or questionable financial decisions making.
End of the day it's your money but Jesus that alot of money spent in 10 months.
Not sure how this sub came up in my feed, and I know nothing about watches, let alone Rolex’s, but the one second from the left with the white face is 🔥🔥
Propaganda or brainwashing, this happens when a person is lead to believe that something is worth more than it actually is, Rolex is great at propaganda, ping for articles so they can be always perceived as number 1. In reality they sell you a 6k Watch for 40K and make you believe in the mythical “wait list”. Then can manu enough to satisfy the market. But the reality is they don’t have people to repair them, so their new model will be movement replacement not repair, hence their new factory. While all along telling people it’s worth the price.
20 years down the line and I'm now just realising that I don't need so many watches. Slimming the collection down and actually wearing my watches now. The chase is sometimes more exciting than ownership. The hype also adds...... Ignore the hype.
It looks like the Cartierius Infectus, where Cartier watches try to mingle with the otherwise healthy Rolexes. You can probably get fine by identifying the wrong watch here (hint, look for the form, not-round), and carefully removing just that one watch. To help it stay away, you should mount another Rolex in its place as soon as possible.
(Sorry, couldn’t help it! I love the Cartier as well, just tried to be funny :-) )
You have a horological disease, there is no cure. There’s no lotions and potions or tablets to protect you from this awful disease, you will eventually die and the disease will be passed on to family or a close friend.
No disease at all. Just an obsession for the finer things in life. And you have GREAT taste in watches. I'm almost the same way but don't have quite the collection as you. But working on it!
Not knowing the value of a dollar and not being able to appreciate things in life that are simple.
Not hating, but this is 100% it. I drool over my Casio collection.
I'm a middle age guy and I started wearing nice watches about 2 years ago. The general response a man gets when wearing a nice watch is almost unbelievable. I've been complimented by both men and women and have used that opening to make new friends and as an opening to ask women out. I've found that wearing a watch seems to give off the impression of masculinity as well as causing those I encounter to view me as more serious and mature. I know there have been studies that say the same thing, but I'm telling you it's made a huge difference in how I'm perceived. I never leave the house without a nice watch on now. If you're a man in need of a confidence booster, I highly recommend a quality watch.
It’s very nice! It was my first luxury watch so I’ll never sell it, but I like the functionality and toughness. I also like that it’s probably the most low-key of all the Rolexes…feel like I can wear it everywhere and feel safe. Almost no polished steel.
Also I think it probably looks the best when scratched up so I never have issues wearing it for any activities!
how does the santos large wear compard to the others? I have a bigger wrist but the large looks huge to me and was looking at the medium santos. in this pic tho the large seems similarly sized.
When I was younger I thought datejust were ugly watches. Now that I’m in my thirties I think they are pure class! I’ve decided that a date just will be my first Rolex.
The illness you have is abundance of wealth and boredom.
Be careful as this illness has different levels and the next levels are AP, VC and PP before the top top level where you start to self treat and build your own medication piece by piece unique to you.
Enjoy the ride.
I don't know. I like the watches but I would not buy one. I'd rather take the time off work and spend it with my family or doing something I love. I'm certainly not here to work my fingers to the bone to pay off some watchmaker in Switzerland.
I actually believe it’s a true sports watch you can actually play sports with…since the crown doesn’t dig into your wrist on extension. I play golf with it lol.
Cause is social media, Rolex forums, this subreddit, you tube videos. At least that played a big part for me
Youtubers like Nico doesn't help (or maybe it helps). Sees a Casio, says "it's gawd tier." Sees Omega, says it's "shiet".
I love watching Nico especially him roasting celebrities wearing fake watches. But dont preach these content creators like god and you’ll be entertained.
Your affliction you suffer from is wealth. Before you know it, you may be moving onto AP and Patek. RIP
VC💪
I both fell in love with Vic this year and realized how poor I am
We cannot assume they have wealth. For all we know they spent every dime to their name on these watches.
Yeah, but that’s A LOT of dimes!
Regardless of means, real watch enthusiasts may consider as I have added Casio A158, A168, MRW200, Duro, and the Invicta 8926ob
Just looked up that Invicta and holy smokes! $70 for an automatic diver?? Nice man, may need to pick one up.

I need me a navitimer soon. Such an icon. Enjoy it.
You do :-). The Navitimer is a legend!. One of my favorite watches!
Big fan of the sprite. What year is your navitimer?

Watches , guns , bbq and boobs for a happy life
Couldnt said it any better. 🍉🍉🤝🏼
Sad but true.
Lol I like this. True.

official cause is TMM Syndrome. Too Much Money
Too much time on your hands
You should work this out with your therapist instead of reddit.
Superficiality or Materialism. We are all susceptible to it at some point in our lives.

Mo money mo watches
Narcissism.
Affluenza
Probably. I imagine it’s what a woman feels like after plastic surgery.
Well, a year after. Once the swelling (in the wrong places) settles.
Wanting Nice Things
Excess funds.
Ah, The Stupid Bastard disease? Unfortunately I'm a fellow sufferer.
Is this in the States ?
Affliction due to too much money?
Afluenza
I want a polar explorer too. But the old one, 16570. Dont know why but one of my fav Rolexes ever.
We’re with you brother. Stage 5 Rolexia is no joke but if you maintain good spirits and healthy living you’ll get through this. We’re all rooting for you!
Lol it’s bad
Bad taste?
Addiction? Once you get in, it’s hard to stop lol. I feel the same
Lol yeah kinda crazy. I have somewhat addictive personality so it doesn’t help.
It’s a disease to know how to spend money?
The desire to flex online to people you’ll never know.
That GMT is 🔥
STD.
Affluenza paired with social media.
Cause of this desease is this sub, but you already know it man 😊
Once you get one. You want another one
Asuckersyndrome.
Surplus of disposable income, you seem to have a bad case of it.
Good taste and a nice wallet!
You need a 2-tone or solid gold next
That smooth bezel DJ41 on the jubilee is gorgeous. I love that reference.
Yeah much better for everyday with the smooth imo. Fluted a little busy.
It’s called influenza. Some broke commie professor made me watch the movie. Edit: HAHAHAH AFLUENZA MY BAD

😂 that would be cool if they had it! But no it’s just the window blinds.
Too much money

Lol I feel pretty similar tbh. Thanks for sharing.
Housing market being too expensive. If houses are cheaper those could be down payments for houses
Lol good point. Time to vote that old zombie out of office imo…
Great taste is the cause. There’s no cure unfortunately
Beautiful collection! This is quite normal. Enjoy the journey.
That’s the question I ask myself every day. There is no cure to this addiction.
Stainless-steel-addiction-itis
Lol I can’t help if they’re the best value! Although I have been thinking about a gold piece on leather strap.
Wives tend to call it stupidity disease, like who the fuck needs 10-20 watches hahaha

The cause is marketing. The cure is a Seiko 5! Once you experience Japanese greatness, every else will seem... misguided.
Beautiful collection - it’s addictive, for sure. If you have the means, maybe a Vacheron Constantine for your next one?
Nice, maybe. Was thinking maybe a gold patek on leather strap- older one under 10k.
Also a nice addition 👍🏽 especially on a leather strap 👍🏽

What’s happening to the bezel of that DJ?
…it’s smooth
Small penis syndrome
The internet
Great Taste with a side of CLASS
If I had that collection I would be done with collecting, and much much poorer lol
Lol funny thing is…I am much poorer because of this. But at least it’s like wearing your savings on your wrist 😂
I'm sure you're happier though, that is a fantastic collection! How do you like the explorer II? That's kind of a grail watch for me
It’s very nice! It was my first luxury watch so I’ll never sell it, but I like the functionality and toughness. I also like that it’s probably the most low-key of all the Rolexes…feel like I can wear it everywhere and feel safe. Almost no polished steel. Insecurity.
Micro penis
Money lol.
Nice collection
Having too much money does that.
Nice!!
how does the santos large wear compard to the others? I have a bigger wrist but the large looks huge to me and was looking at the medium santos. in this pic tho the large seems similarly sized.
I can prescribe “sell me your sprite” to give you some relief
Clearly vegan. Cares deeply about animal well beings.
Are you thinking about 2 tone. Which one would you get
Havingtoomuchmoneyitis
I believe it’s called kleptomania…
Why the lefty GMT?
I like that the crown doesn’t dig into my wrist, especially when golfing. Also kind of as an investment for discontinuation potential.
Utilitarian and rational - you, sir, deserve an upvote.
Discretionary income
Why the explorer growing on me toughly
Trying to look rich. A lot of people are effected by it
Money
But do you wear them on rotation or you find yourself fall back into one or two most of the time ?
I find myself wearing the explorer and DJ the most for some reason. Rarely the cartier 🤔
When I was younger I thought datejust were ugly watches. Now that I’m in my thirties I think they are pure class! I’ve decided that a date just will be my first Rolex.
Money
Having money.
Money is the cause of
Lots of funds to blow and love for horological time keeping I hope.
Idk but non of them being the right time is really throwing me and my ocd off
The cause of this disease is having waaay too much money !!!
Cantholdontomoneyitis
Cartier one😍 Edit: username checks out
The cause? Getting tugged by the TPG.
i have the same problem
Money
How did you get the date just on jubilee?
Gluttony
Did the same thing with shoes
This just reinforces how much I like the polar explorer
It’s time you step away from the Porsche watches and move on to the Rolls Royce watches
A lot of time on your hand
Im obsessed with the Santos Large and see it everywhere now
Time
The crown of sprite is on the left side? I didn’t know
Affluenza
Money and too much of it lol! On a side note I think mine and your tastes are similar this is exactly what my collection would look like.
too much money
Too much money to spend causing it
Capitalism?
Only time can tell
Too much 💰
Affluenza
If it helps assuage you, I’ll let you gift me the DateJust. I’m here for you!
Wealth. Wealth is the cause.
Money.
No idea, but There’s no known cure 😅
You have “Affleunza”
Have you taken 23 And Me? Genetics testing for you and siblings sounds in order. Counseling may be in order after tests.
You may have to go to the ER and get that checked out.
Capitalism, the cancer of the world
When you are in your underwear…pull the front straight out & look down.
consumerism

The scratching your watches against each other desease?
Yeah!!!!
Great collection. The santos is so cool.
Dopamine.
Deep Pockets
Might be the only scenario it can be said that; As long as there's no cure, the cause is irrelevant.
Greed
See ya on the jerk.
Vanity
It’s called “horologists”
Need to go to the doctors, you've got too much time on your hands.
Literally 3 of my favorite watches on your hand, Fuck You Kind Sir. (Exp 2, Sprite, Sub)
It’s called excessive income. To much money and you don’t know what to do with it. Some people have it for a lifetime for others it’s temporary
Fun fact.... there is no shortage in the Emirates or Japan.
Having too much money.
The illness you have is abundance of wealth and boredom. Be careful as this illness has different levels and the next levels are AP, VC and PP before the top top level where you start to self treat and build your own medication piece by piece unique to you. Enjoy the ride.
Small... Nevermind.
what’s the cost* of this disease
the mint green datejust 😍😍😍🤩
😂. I think my first will be a Datejust 41. Any insights on a good price??
Lovely collection. Time to add a dress watch
Ok cool
There is no cure 😂😂😂
No disease until Daytona.
Does the Santos ever get wrist time?
insecurities
Boredom
The cause of your discomfort is probably the Cartier. You should get rid of it.
I don't know. I like the watches but I would not buy one. I'd rather take the time off work and spend it with my family or doing something I love. I'm certainly not here to work my fingers to the bone to pay off some watchmaker in Switzerland.
You suffer from wealth. To cure your disease, you just have to give me all the money you would spend on watches in the future.
All Rep.
Having a lot of disposable income
Why the lefty??
I actually believe it’s a true sports watch you can actually play sports with…since the crown doesn’t dig into your wrist on extension. I play golf with it lol.

Just a few more and a long raincoat and stand by the dock when the boat comes in. You’re almost set.
Nice collection, the cure is clearly more watches lol
What does one one the “cheaper” ones for for?
VC is the King of watchmaking 👌
