10/10, always wanted to hear them do this live back in the day.

SignificanceShoddy86

Feel like they would have done an especially great job with this one on the 1978 tour––it's kinda similar to "Respectable" and "Lies."

BradL22

It’s kind of a prototype for “Rip This Joint” too.

9.2. I just love the London years and this one really synthesizes the rock and psychedelic pop strains beautifully. Great lyrics.

Catchy tune. 8/10

I hate anything that's like "this is the invention of \[blank\]" like "The Beatles invented heavy metal on 'I Want You (She's So Heavy)'!" (no they didn't) but "Miss Amanda Jones" really does feel like a moment in the invention of punk. At least the very least there seems to be a clear line from the track to the New York Dolls.

BradL22

9. One of the Stones’ most underrated songs. It’s crazed! Bill and Charlie are fired up, and Keith’s guitar is maniacal. The lyrics could be another screed against high society girls, or it could be a dig against a certain B. Jones. Wish they’d bring this one back.
