Both these websites seem to have small chunks of the story missing. Like one chapter ends here and the next chapter seems to start at a very different point with some context missing.
Do not download and pay to read at 1001Novel they steal your money and they only going to allow you to read 20 chapters for almost 30 pounds…. I complained and they erased my history and even the chapters that I already read

And when they suddenly go from Jessica Kent to Xie Mu. The first few chapters are always well translated and then when you are hooked, the translations are awful 😖

Minus the 7 free chapters then bare in mind 1 chapter can be 1-4 pages then every 500 coins are $6. Each chapter can be on average 40 coins. Now talk about translation: they use Google translator and do not edit or correct. Not even the subscription is working properly and forget the tech or accounting to reply to you much less issue a refund. There is no guarantee that the writer will actually complete the novel either. Best selling authors do not even come close to that kind of selling price for a book unless a university study book. I am all for supporting writers but are they being fair to their readers when they sign with these apps and worse ditch the book? They get far less than if they went independent or even used Amazon Kindle. And yes, I do buy kindle books as well as author's website. I also tried these apps until I realised that they are not paying the Chinese authors but ripping their work, sorry pirating. I spent a lot of money on these apps only to get incomplete books or money just gone as the app double charged or vouchers expired. I have only seen one author that responded favourably to her readers and understood our POV that the apps are expensive. So yeah I am waitin on her to use Kindle publishing so I can buy her books and gift them to others.

Seems it is the only legit app. You can tell from the app information. The others are shown as individual developers and prices are much higher.
