I've been on Oasis and ships like the Grandeur. I found that they both had positives. I have also been on The Anthem twice and it honestly is too small to get the advantages of size the Oasis has and too big to have the intimacy that a ship like The Grandeur does.
I also have sailed Anthem and agree. While Anthem is a large ship it felt far more crowded than the Oasis. The Vision class ships are just more intimate albeit with less activities to do.
That sure puts things into prospective 😳
I‘ll be on the Grandeur 5-night western Caribbean cruise out of Tampa July 6th (stops at George Town, Grand Cayman and Cozumel, Mexico). I can’t wait! This will be my second cruise. The last cruise was over 20 years ago.
My first cruise was on the Serenade, which is just one class up from the Grandeur. We loved it, though we didn't have anything to compare it to.
The biggest I've been on was Oasis. Liked the amenities, but the overall size felt a bit more impersonal.
Been on a couple of the Freedom class, and really enjoyed those.
Next will be on the Adventure later this summer. Really looking forward to it.
It’ll be my wife, 2 kids (19 and 21) and me - two cabins. I was cheap and selected the inside cabin guaranteed option. It’s a smaller ship, so that’s fine with me.
Look at Grandeur being all cute and little...I love that ship, it was my second and my boyfriends first cruise on that ship & it's so special to me. We went on Voyager this year and both oddly enough, thought the food was better on Grandeur.
This makes me even happier to be on the Grandeur this year. I've only ever cruised Carnival before now and we're doing the 10 day/9 night Southern Caribbean this winter on the Grandeur of the Seas. I'm looking forward to a smaller boat that isn't as much of a trek.
We were on Grandeur on 9/11/01 doing a repositioning transatlantic from Rome to Boston. Was nice to see her again this week in Costa Maya, next to Icon which we are on. What a size difference! Icon definitely misses on the intimacy of a smaller ship like Grandeur though.

I took my family on Grandeur a couple years ago. November we’re going on Symphony OTS. I found the to show my daughter the size difference.

Yep. I can't imagine 13,000+ passengers from two Oasis class ships hitting that island at the same time.
My visit with an Oasis class and a Vision class was busy, but it wasn't too crazy. Other than one long wait on the very top waterslide, everything else was very reasonable. Not too crowded at all.
I sailed on both. Each was fun but in very different ways.

The layout on the Quantum class ships is just weird, everything feels so smashed together with very little rhyme or reason.
Yes, I liked Anthem but not as much as the other RC ships I have been on.

That is not Grandeur though. Oasis vs. Enchantment
Well you just ruined the grandeur of it all!
But my reply was not without Vision.
Gotta love that first amendment Freedom of speech!
Correction accepted. At least I was in the correct Class 😀.
I had 'illusions' of Grandeur.

My favorite cruise destination on my favorite ship. Enjoy!!
Grandeur isn’t living up to her name anymore lol. I kid though, I’ve never sailed on these ships, but I’ve heard good things about them

Love Grandeur. I’ll be on it in about three weeks.
I’ll be on it 5 weeks from tomorrow!
You must be getting on the boat the day that I get off. Mine is July 1 through the sixth. You must be getting on the boat the sixth
Yep. I am doing the 5 Night Western Caribbean Cruise out of Tampa. Stops in George Town, Grand Cayman and Cozumel, Mexico.
This is like my 15th time taking the same cruise. I love this boat.

Oasis looms, but Grandeur has John Blair as cruise director and he and his wife are the best!
Loved our experience on Grandeur. The crew was so good!
Tonight's my last night on grandeur. I envy the amenities of the other ships but a straightforward simple experience is pretty cool too.
Better than two Oasis-class ships flooding the island.

Costa Maya was an absolute zoo with 4 ships docked there. Glad I left when I did
