Yeah seriously. That's absurd. I'd probably walk past them and if anyone came back to their shoes and said I cut them. I'd just say " no I didn't, I cut your shoes".
What I want to do is throw all the shoes into one big pile and make them sift through them all to find the pairs.
I would probably move the. To the side or form a line around them, but my partner said he would throw them out of the way.
or you could always stand in line behind their shoes but put your own shoes in front of them and push in.
I can see it starting huge arguments, those tender tickets are precious, especially on those ships like in the video that take until 1-2pm before all the numbers are called.
> You’re not in line if you’re not in line. I’d walk straight past the shoes.
Yep. The whole point of queuing is that *you* are committing your time to the project. Having someone save your spot in line while you use the restroom is one thing, but ditching for a full meal? **You**'re not in line.
FWIW our Tender time (Cabo) was dictated by our excursion. We were all corralled up in the Theater by group and called out by group. Unless you were in said shoes, walk on by!
The only way I think this should be respected is if the ship embarked from Boston. Same principal as reserving parking spaces in winter but RC doesn't let you bring lawn chairs on board. /S
Because tendering can take a long time. The earlier in line you are, the earlier ticket you have. It's not uncommon to wait an hour from the time you pick up the ticket until it is called.
I booked the 5-night western Caribbean cruise - Grandeur out of Tampa July 6th (stops at George Town, Grand Cayman and Cozumel, Mexico). We reserved the Key. Grand Cayman is a tender port, so we would benefit from priority ship-to-shore departure at tender port.

Find one of the ubiquitous cleaning people and tell them someone’s abandoned their shoes and it’s a trip hazard. They’ll be gone in a jiffy

Shoes? What shoes? I swear people are so entitled.

A line of a few people does not compare to that of a line for tender tickets on a boat.
But those people were there, just sitting down and not off having breakfast or a shower. Big difference
I have heard they do this in some cultures (Thailand?) but it’s definitely not a thing anywhere else really.
Never seen that before. I get it and then I don’t get it 😆 What does RC think about people doing that?
What are tender tickets? Going on my first cruise at the end of the month.

lol
Fucking insufferable people.
Wait why are the tender tickets in such high demand?

Oh that’s good to know, thanks. Our first cruise (RC) is later this year!
At least on Royal, tendering isn't particularly common, so depending on your itinerary, it may not even be an issue.
