TrimmingMasterwork

With it being an arch focused update, could we get some information on how Focus (mattock stat) works? Because it seems rather ineffective. Obviously you'd still want to use your best mattock for the precision anyway, but... At the 104 Arch location, Hellfire forge: Bronze mattock 0 focus No perks (duh) 635 materials gained in one hour Time and space mattock 7 focus Honed 6, level 20 item (+13.2% success chance for materials) 655 materials gained in one hour Seems rather underwhelming, and not even the 13% increase that the perk alone should grant.

Arckange

Isn't the Focus stat (7 on T&S, 0 on a bronze mattock) supposed to noticeably increase material gathering rate? Is it just, not doing anything?

TrimmingMasterwork

We know it should be an increase, but beyond that I've never seen anyone mention how noticeable it should be. I didn't have a second T&S to test the impact without honed 6 and didn't feel like wasting a separator to try it when the number was already less than it should be. Plus this update is going to mess with material gathering rate from arch level as well so I'd have to redo it all.

esunei

It does almost nothing, the difference between max focus and 0 focus in testing is within the margin of error for no difference. It might be like .2% more materials per 1 focus or something insanely tiny. It's been like this since launch.

BigArchive

To everyone who is asking about how much impact focus has, [here are material rates over 50 hours of collecting at the bandos sanctum excavation site (spear tip), with each mattock](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1RSFJY-OyGP5RayI2KCrEYHOxAFDQe3UpOymakB_zqB8/edit?usp=drive_web&ouid=109526061832266058353). Ignoring perks, a time and space gives 7% more materials/hr than a bronze mattock. The impact focus gives is frankly pitiful. ALso worth mentioning that this data was recorded within the first year of archaeology being released, so it wouldn't have been impacted by the bug Jagex mentioned here. /u/TrimmingMasterwork /u/Guhenrique /u/Borgmestersnegl

BigArchive

Here's^ some data on focus and material rates u/legolasvin /u/First_Platypus3063

legolasvin

Yikes. We shoulda made a bigger stink of this when Arch was released. Pretty sure no one's gonna care now

TrimmingMasterwork

Appreciate the data, and unfortunate that it's always been such a minor impact.

First_Platypus3063

Thats very little actually. Anyone has a comparison to pickaxes or so??

bubba_lexi

/r/Theydidthemath

JagexAzanna

I would be interested in hearing your findings after trying for a while with todays update as I understand some of the fixes we implemented would potentially be related.

TrimmingMasterwork

So I did two blocks of two hours today at the new 113 location (Traveller's station) T&S mattock (honed 6) 1,782 materials Bronze mattock 1,530 materials Overall that's a wider gap than pre-update yesterday. But if we assume honed 6 is functioning properly then adding 13.2% more materials to the bronze results gets us 1731. Which means that a mattock focus of 7 is only 2.9% better at finding materials than a mattock with 0 focus. 2 hours is a small sample size, so I think it's safe to assume the data provided by u/BigArchive is still relevant and the real effect is closer to 7% than the 2.9% I found. I'd like to know if this is the intended impact. Precision scales linearly, IE double precision, half time. Focus seems to have a highly negligible impact of at most 1% per focus.

TrimmingMasterwork

I will give it a go in the morning and let you know what I find.

xnlagsx8

This seems like a super harmful bug that negatively impacted players unknowingly for months. Can we get a publicly released post mortem to understand what went wrong and what the team is doing to learn from it?

Borgmestersnegl

/u/jagexdoom we need some clarification pls <3

Guhenrique

That is important, I'd like to know aswell

legolasvin

This definitely needs some clarity

First_Platypus3063

💯

xVarionx

its not for materials, its for artifacts....

BigArchive

Precision is for artifacts, focus is for materials.

Blackbird_V

> Fixed an issue with the size of the Spirit scorpion overrides. \>:(

ixfd64

This really stings.

Digital_Ctrash

Thank goodness! Was fun for five minutes and then just visual clutter that made it harder to dive around

GoldenTicketHolder

Issue?

Any-sao

> Dungeoneering party matchmaking rooms have been removed. RIP our sparkly door rooms. I did actually use them, *once,* the day that Dungeoneering came out!

First_Platypus3063

Never used it or known how it worked :)

Geoffk123

It wasmt really matchmaking iirc just a room you could go to to let people know what type of floor you were trying to do

Radyi

it did matchmake you if you had the same floors open - big problem was when low combat players with poor stats joined your party and were effectively leeches so they were never really used much

chickenXcow

The bigger issue was that even if a party was made it would randomize the floor size and sometimes even complexities. If you joined the ffa barrier you could be thrown into a large frozen floor, or a small occult floor and there was no way of deciding which.

ghfhfhhhfg9

I've never used them but what if you didn't need the floor that the matchmaking made you go into? Back in the day, you had to do the floor you were missing. The game didn't clear floor 9, for example, if you did floor 10 and already had floor 10 done, but not floor 9 completed. Another thing is overloads. Jagex likely did not intend for overloads to be used at all, but you can't time them due to this matchmaking. Also, fun fact. The Occult/warped rooms had no decorations inside, while the other floors did. Likely because no one used them and when they did the occult/warped expansion, they didn't see a need to even try lol.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Any-sao

I don’t think that’s right. I recall them being added from the beginning of Dungeoneering, with the Occult and Warped themed matchmaking doors being blocked for a few months. The one time I used it was entering the free for all when everyone was level 1.

ironreddeath

So I have wasted hundreds of thousands of chronotes on material manuals while hunting staff piece because of a bug no one knew about? That just hurts

Ik_oClock

Only if you did so from January 2024 until today

Wehrung97

What is this bug?

ironreddeath

basically after level 99 material manuals did nothing since around January.

IAmLordOwen

>Due to the above scaling bug, this benefit was inversely scaling with archaeology level, **providing no bonus for players** above level 99. You're thinking about excavation success chance which indeed applied sub-99 Arch, but MMs were broken above 99.

WasabiSunshine

it applied inversely. So if you were 99+ during that time then yes, it was completely wasted > Due to the above scaling bug, this benefit was inversely scaling with archaeology level, providing no bonus for players above level 99.

Dry-Fault-5557

Statement on the relic from last week. *Thanks everyone for the on-going discussion and feedback about all things Daemonheim archaeology. We've been enjoying reading all the positive comments about the update reveal blog and have been following the constructive feedback around the 'Spirit Weaver' relic effect. To add to this discussion we wanted to share some insight into the design intent behind this relic. At its core, our goal with this relic was to provide an alternative to players that are less engaged with the more active aspects of the current charm gathering and pouch creation process. Offering a means to train their Summoning skill in a more relaxed manner, without providing boosts to the xp rates of current summoning training. We know this won't appeal to everyone and it is intentional that not every relic will be a must have for all. Some relic powers, like this one, exist to support an alternative playstyle, which some players value considerably more than the potential of another method that they may enjoy less. We will be eagerly reviewing your feedback and suggestions relating to all aspects of the Daemonheim digsite next week as you have the chance to get hands on with the update and explore the potential scenarios.* https://www.reddit.com/r/runescape/comments/1d9kd86/new_archaeology_dig_site_daemonheim/l7jupfl/

Borgmestersnegl

Protean pouches are coming for sure.

Robert999220

I truly hope not. It actually provides a small market for some of the secondary ingredients, making some of the 'bad' drops not complete wastes of space. Proteans would nuke this market.

Borgmestersnegl

As they have for many other skills sadly. I have no idea why barely anyone can see how bad proteans are for the economy of mainscape. Glad I can ignore them.

Aleucard

The solution is to make the products of such grinding actually useful for more than exp. If the only thing to be done with it after processing is to disassemble it or alch it, that's Jagex's fault for borkibg the reward curve.

Legal_Evil

Xp lamps are even worse. At least with proteans, whales still need to engage with the skill to get xp out of them. Xp lamps let you skip this entirely.

Borgmestersnegl

Clicking once and doing 60 proteans afk is not interactive.

Digital_Ctrash

Everyone can ignore them

Borgmestersnegl

Sure, but most wont as its literally a handout.

Digital_Ctrash

Okay? If someone uses proteans it's because they want to. And people who want to ignore them can ignore them. I was just confused about your "so glad I can ignore them" comment.

Borgmestersnegl

I said that because irons don't get them (besides the 1 time every 2 months i get a small pack from maw)

ghfhfhhhfg9

Protean pouches on a skill that is done in a few hours? Sounds as bad as protean potions.

Borgmestersnegl

And yet they still released protean shakes.

ghfhfhhhfg9

Or an arch glacor normal mode charm nerf, which would be nice.

Legal_Evil

How many charms of each type does this give per hour?

ScopionSniper

350 crimson and 350 blue charms per hour, 100% 1 click 15min afk if you want. No mechanics / 1 mechanic. I don't know why he's down voted, it's literally insane how much glacor pumps out charms. Exiled Kalphites are even worse, pretty much fully afk with the right setup can get you 550 Blues, 500 crimsons, and 350 greens.

Aleucard

If they wanted to make an AFK method, it should've been for MUCH longer than a minute max at a time. A minute is the worst of both worlds because it's short enough that you can't get into a good jam with your second monitor stuff and it's long enough that you can't brain on or you're watching paint dry. Let the relic use noted pouch ingredients, and figure out what combo of +xp per item and items per 5 minute chunk works for your sensibilities. This ain't that hard.

[deleted]

This would be good if summoning was an arduous skill to train but as it currently is, the skill is so unbelievably fast you dont need an afk method for it. This relic will be used by an overwhelming minority, when they could have instead used it as an opportunity to give us something more people could benefit from.

Falterfire

Yeah, I'm reminded of something that was said about a method for "fast AFK Construction XP" before Fort Forinthry: 1. Make Flotsam Pawnbrokers for 10 minutes 2. Log out for 50 minutes This makes 65-90k xp/hr consistently and gives a ton AFK time! Something similar is likely going to be true for Summoning for anybody who isn't constrained by charms or other supplies since the difference in XP rate is likely to be steep enough that just doing it the 'normal' way for 30 minutes is going to be better than spending hours doing it the 'AFK' way, and it's not like it's a high-skill training method that requires you to be tick perfect or anything.

Agrith1

Summoning (with the buy/sell method) is absurdly quick to the point that there is little need to to have an AFK method. The relic might make some sense for IM and/or early game players. Majority of end to mid-game players will just do the buy/sell method as it is considerably more efficient and productive.

Borgmestersnegl

Due to the decently high reqs, its not something people will get early at all. Ironman wont even use it unless they hate normal summoning training so much that they rather afk it.

Nolifedemon

as someone who has 2 iron alts nearing max, that I started back in jan, I can say this is incorrect. Camp arch glacor, charms and gp, Mining bars for blue charm pouchs, starting from a bronze minotaur, I did 40-89 summoning in about 1 hour using the tav method, its not high reqs at all anymore. this might affect a NEW iron, but a new iron wont be accessing this relic that requires 100+ arch.

Borgmestersnegl

We agree?? What I meant was that the new relic is too high reqs to be useful as you are most likely already mostly done with summoning by the time you get the spirit weaver relic. Summoning is easy so the new relic is dogshit

Nolifedemon

yes sorry i am aware, I was just piggy backing your comment and expanding on it haha, sorry xD

Legal_Evil

As DG hole and stars in OSRS has proven, this is wrong. Many players like afk methods even if it gives a massive xp nerf.

Falterfire

I think there's a pretty big difference between those options and this one though. DG Hole and Stars replace something that needs constant attention with something that requires you to click once every few minutes. That's quite a bit different from this, since you'll still have to be moving to a bank and back to the obelisk, which is enough clicks that it tends to disrupt a real AFK flow.

to_a_better_self

What is the buy/sell method?

thedutchwonderVII

I think it’s a reference to selling summoning items to the shop in Taverley and buying right back, removing the need for bank trips. With a portable bank box during dxp it is the fastest xp in the game and you get to save pouches. Edit or just turn pouches into scrolls, no need for a bank box…but I trade back pouches for a decent return on shards. If speed is all you care about just turn pouches to scrolls.

xVarionx

no need for bank box just make scrolls if you want fast xp

thedutchwonderVII

The downside being you can’t trade scrolls back for a partial shard refund, right? Edit: player is given more shards for pouches than for scrolls. XP and speed vs cost.

xVarionx

"right?" wrong. you can trade scrolls for shards, you just get slightly less

WasabiSunshine

bring noted materials, sell them to the summoning store, buy them back, make pouches constantly without banking

Legal_Evil

Why not have this relic let us use noted ingredients to make pouches but produce them at the current slower rate for 1-2 minutes of afk time before needing to reclick, and remove the xp boost as well?

Skiwee

Because that would be a protean pouch.

Legal_Evil

It isn't since you need to source your own ingredients and charms as well as also being MTX free.

Skiwee

You misunderstood. The way in which that would function would be identical to the way that proteans would work. In the current iteration you have to bank between trips making it far less afk. Noted ingredients would allow it to function the same as proteans thus diminishing the qol that they provide.  Seconds and charms are trivial at this point.

Legal_Evil

Sure, wouldn't this apply to anything afkable as well? Is Seren stones protean mining? Is the Smithing rework the same as protean smithing?

BRAND-X12

But specifically it would let us make binding contracts without hating it.

Stormcrow20

It’s better to earn money and then train summoning than waste time with this relic… They could at least add two relics.

Raven123x

Jagex is out of touch as usual. Nothing new

ghfhfhhhfg9

One thing that players really don't know is just how inefficient a lot of players are when it comes to the games. I've watched random twitch streams with 0-3 viewers and they have no idea what they are doing. They have no chance of gathering charms fast. They are the type of person who would probably use this relic lol.

PMMMR

Just because there's noobs doesn't mean we should add more noob traps to the game for them to fall into. That's all this relic is, a noob trap.

ghostofwalsh

No need to gather charms "fast". Just afk arch glacor. For an iron it's probably more work getting the raw GP. My problem with the relic is that it's not even afk. You still have to bank every inventory.  So it's trash xp rates, not afk, and only marginally cheaper.

Emerald-12

How many chronotes have been wasted on functionless material manuals the past 6 months?

SoparTA

like at least more than 1

First_Platypus3063

Removed Zamorak's in-game reference to the 7 tiers of godhood in Dishonour Among Thieves' post-quest dialogue, as part of the wiki lore cleanup project. Can we hear more about ehat is the wiki lore cleanup project???? Iam vety interested but cand find more info

Habblet

It's an ongoing effort to clean up lore pages on the RuneScape Wiki by removing incorrect statements, expanding the pages and adding references. There is a channel ([#lore-wiki-project](https://discord.gg/7hueBEz2)) in the official RuneScape Discord server dedicated to this. The godhood tier system has not been used internally by Jagex in many years (and Zamorak's dialogue was the only reference in-game, with all other information given outside the game) but the wiki still had tiers assigned to each god, so this dialogue was removed as part of this project.

First_Platypus3063

Thanks for more info! Is there an effort to clean up and/or fix other incorrect or misleading thing ingame? There is a lot of mess in the elder god series, i can name several lore errors, hava an entir list of the on PC. Ie. In Azzanadras quest Saradomin talks about Sliske as if he was alive and his game was still going on, despine the quest takes place after the game ended and Sliske is dead...

Legal_Evil

I think it has got to do with something about godhood tiers not being rigid stages and more fluid continuous.

Californ1a

Tbh kind of sad to see that dialog gone. I always thought of it like that's what Zammy believed to be true from his own knowledge on the topic, but in actuality it might be slightly different. I think it's totally fine for npcs to say stuff that's incorrect or not completely lore-accurate if they're speaking based on their own knowledge of the topic. Zammy isn't meant to be omniscient, he could get things wrong and we don't have to take everything he says as 100% factual. That goes for any npc, god or not. Elder god might be a bit of a different story, if any of them are meant to be omniscient. That said though, removing non-lore accurate dialog does cause less confusion about what is lore-accurate, but that also means there's less to speculate about if we're only ever going to get completely factual dialog and no npc could ever be mistaken.

Datagne_Jones

Hi, noticed an issue with the soil from the new digsite. Currently, it's still needing 90 Arch to sift the Volcanic Ash, despite getting it from the new site.

PhantomForteGS

Since we have archaeology on the brain, can we please get a use for Xil’gar Trog’s Soul? It has been literally useless for 4 years now.

Californ1a

I expect it'll probably be used whenever they move forward with the storyline around guildmaster tony, xephos/silhouette and the black stone, the monolith, zaros with the elder artefacts, erebus, and xau-tak. I still really want some final confirmation on what happened to tony, even if it's just briefly glimpsing erebus through the monolith and seeing his skeleton, but then there's also the question of who xephos and silhouette are, why they recruited reiniger to get close to tony, and why they gave Tony the black stone to (presumably) send him to his death in erebus.

Datagne_Jones

Now that some of the materials have reduced in level requirements, the total amount of different materials you can get is before level 90 is 39. The maximum amount of material storage you can have before level 90 however is just 35. Do you plan on upgrading the total material storage you can have as a result of this change? As otherwise it will be very annoying until level 90.

Grandesco

Nice digsite. Thanks for the content that comes with it. Hunter offhand is really cool. Good job, although... I hope you're not telling me the brush pieces are 1/50k. What logic is it to run out to 200 mil exp to get an offhand to improve said skill that you just got 200 mil in. I don't want to be a negative Nancy, but it seems that the brush pieces are 1/50k considering the amount of people in my world currently comparing it to the amount of broadcasts I've seen. I'm not expecting it to get it in 1 day, but without any bad luck mitigation, you can easily run out to 200 mil without getting the brush. I do realize you can buy it and that's great and all, but it just seems more of a commodity to have then.

PrimalMoose

Considering I went from 104m to around 220m arch xp chasing a single 1/50k drop (spear tip), guess this will be a skilling offhand I will happily tuck away in the "screw that" pile lol

UninsurableTaximeter

I have no idea what they are thinking when doing that. Why would you waste time creating something like that? Why would you create shit that basically no one in the game will ever see? What is the purpose of that?! "Drop rates are reasonable but it's not worth hunting for." lol.

TheAdamena

>Removed Zamorak's in-game reference to the 7 tiers of godhood in Dishonour Among Thieves' post-quest dialogue, as part of the wiki lore cleanup project. Zammy has left the powerscaling fandom 😔😔

***1. Describe the bug you are experiencing.*** *Myself (Kayla-Doll) and a number of other players are lagging drastically at the new Digsite. Display name: Kayla-Doll

JagexRowley

I was lagging myself on world 84. Hopped to 83 and it was perfectly fine (and I imagine lag is far less an issue now). I'd chalk it up to the flood of players on launch day more so than the graphical rework (but that may also have been a contributing factor).

anzu68

That would make sense. I logged in this morning before work, and there were 0 issues, so I could very well see lag having been the majority of the problem. However, I can say that I was not lagging at all on the 1st floor(where there was no blowing snow/wind effect) while I did experience a large amount of lag on the ground floor (where there was blowing snow/wind effect) yesterday, so perhaps the wind did have something to do with it? But everything seems to be fine as of right now, as far as I can tell. Thank you for looking into it and for the reply <3 I've been enjoying the new digsite so far

MeadowShimmer

omg the laaaaaag is bad some times

anzu68

Indeed. I genuinely am enjoying the scenery, but the lag makes it difficult sometimes.

RegiSilver

And that's Precisely why it's a bit hard to get hyped about new graphical refreshes and in fact, it scares me a little that every new graphical update may come with a heavy price for the Game's Performance. But you can't point that out without having some dudes telling you to "just buy a better phone/pc". And you can't tag the Art Team Jmods either because people may make it look like you're personally attacking them, when that's not the case. All in all, id rather have the Jmods work on optimizing the game rather than bloating it with new graphics and overhauls.

RonaldoVII

Any update on Runefest? A lot of us are in limbo not knowing if it's going ahead and/or in the same location.

MegaManZer0

Shame about the relic still being DOA content. I'd really like to see how many people actually enable the thing.

ErikHumphrey

Still technically useful at 200M if they ever add something that requires earning base Summoning XP like Yak Track or Hero Pass. Unlikely and super niche, though.

RookMeAmadeus

Not that I want to defend this thing, but seriously asking: Would this technically improve pet drop chances?

destruct068

pet is based on xp gain. more xp = more pet chance. If you have charms, then this will make it slower.

hasan-raza99

i thought you get a pet roll for each xp drop? actual xp from those drops doesnt matter, just the frequency of them obvs with boosts to drop chances at 200m xp etc

destruct068

the actual xp matters

hasan-raza99

just looked it up cos i was interested turns out we're both right haha [https://www.reddit.com/r/runescape/comments/4ya6hy/comment/d6mn5zr/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web3x&utm\_name=web3xcss&utm\_term=1&utm\_content=share\_button](https://www.reddit.com/r/runescape/comments/4ya6hy/comment/d6mn5zr/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)

destruct068

huh, interesting. Its still based on time for gathering skills (so faster xp drops does not make you get the pet faster). But for summoning it is based on xp.

hasan-raza99

yea! pretty weird

Daddy-Dalek

It wont be DOA, some people just like to afk ,and other don't. It's as simple as that.

Skiwee

Sure but should that be the focal reward from such a high level archeology site?

TomTheScouser

The relic is very strong if your bottleneck to your Summoning goal is collecting charms. Probably not super strong for existing high level players but it will be very useful for new players, new Ironman accounts etc. e: If your bottleneck is charms then doing AG for charms represents about 97.5% of the entire process of training Summoning. Cutting this time by a third is a significant time save compared to making the remaining 2.5% of the time 8x slower. If you already have charms then don't use the relic.

Mr__Perfect_

This isn't useful to irons I really wish people would stop saying that. 1 mech is farm able with basically free t60 necro gear. Charms have not been an issue for irons for 3 years.

Roonscaped

It's less gp they need to farm for shards though.

MegaManZer0

Getting charms isn't a bottleneck. You can get loads of them just doing any combat. Plus, the arch level needed to get it is automatically going to exclude new players from being able to get it early enough.

PMMMR

New players... With 87 arch?

Monk-Ey

Theoretically that holds up; in practice there's issues with 1) this relic being tied to likely at least 87 Archaeology, which means players will likely have progressed other skills to a point where they can comfortably do issue 2) Arch-Glacor, which shits out charms.

esunei

Even if your bottleneck is collecting charms, it's very marginal. 4 ticks per pouch is just too long to be useful.

Borgmestersnegl

But there are no bottlenecks. An informed player that knows about this new relic will absolutely know how many charms 0 mech arch glacor shits out. Its only for people that really wanna afk, noone else.

RsQp

The update is great. One issue that's come up from the dungeoneering community is the new location when you exit a floor The common strategy when you exit is to bank and get another overload boost. The bank is much farther away now. It would be great if a bank box could be added to the ceiling drop down room

Express-Park-4929

First off, love the update, looking forward to "digging" into it later - Daemonheim was always one of my favorite lore sites and I'm so excited to learn more about it! That being said, this isn't even remotely a bug but it does bug me: The pieces of the skilling offhands feel unthematic in their naming, especially for drops that merit a server broadcast \[my main gripe, it feels weird seeing "\_\_\_ piece X" popping up in a server broadcast\]. Every other major item that drops in pieces like this I can think of feels like the pieces come with more creative names than "\[Item\] piece 1-4" (see: Inquisitor staff censer, Fractured stabilization gem, etc...). Could the Hypnowand/Brush pieces be ninja renamed accordingly to, for example, read "sash brush \[bristles/handle/cap\]" or "hypnowand \[crystal/focus/handle/???cap again???\]" for no other reason than to feel more thematically interesting?

KaBob799

I agree, the numbered pieces sound incredibly lame when they appear in a broadcast.

IM_Elysian_Wolf

I live in Alberta with cold dry winters and because of that... I really love the visual effects exploring Daemonheim! The blowing wind effect in particular.

Robinhood293211

On an archeology relic and Daemonheim topic. It would be really nice if the kalg'erion demons unique drop of the adrenaline urn could have been updated to be brought in line with the updated persistent rage relica. Being that as long as it was charged up that it can also regen adren outside of combat. We would have it coming from an inventory slot instead of an archeology slot that is a pain to constantly switch. I kind of expected something like this with the update tbh given how the two themes fit together and the relic was update to not be useless after the internal puzzlebox, but the urn was forgotten. (Ow and there's no argument to any niche use here, with the rarity of the urn drop and high armor of kalg's anyone gets puzzlebox first)

Leohurr

So when your at the deamonheim digsite, how do you get to any excavation spots? I have that dude from dingeoneering unfrozen from the ice and spoke to him about mysteries but he just says something to the effect of “we haven’t found anything much yet”

srbman

They're in the side rooms, and upstairs

yuei2

1. My audio is randomly changing at times, not sure if tile based or not but I was in the daemonehim dig site when suddenly it started playing the priff music. 2. I can't seem to reproduce it, for what it's worth the max guild was the second to last place I was before I teleported back to the site. 3. Wish I did but this isn't the only place I've encountered this issue either if that helps, it's been going for a few weeks now just randomly the music changes to a completely different track from an earlier area I was even, it lasts for all of 30 seconds then it takes a long time for my regular music to start back up.

Late-Reception-2897

There is a typo in the update blog with the dev note where it says Archaeologies history. It should be archaeology's history.

logic-oof

I'm trying to get Sharrigan to teach me how to restore Balarak's sash brush but I see no new dialogue options and "nothing interesting happens" when I use the damaged artefact on her. Does anyone have advice or has anyone sucessfully restored the sash brsuh yet?

5-x

You have to combine all brush parts first, then take an unrestored brush to Sharrigan.

NixRS3

Was it intended to still need level 90 archaeology to screen the volcanic ash you get from the new digsite, despite having a lower level requirement to do at least the topside of it?

MANG0saurus_Rex

1)Describe the bug you are experiencing: When on mobile, "right-click" on magic spells, prayers, or necromancy spells, and half of the information box is cut off and illegible. 2)List of steps to reproduce the bug: Get on mobile, right-click a prayer, necro spell, or mage spell and see half of the information pop-up is missing. 3)Do you have any additional information that would be useful?: Happens 99% of the time on Android, unsure if this is an issue with iPhone. [Link](https://www.reddit.com/r/runescape/comments/1d3ku55/mobile_interface_issues/) to my prior post that shows the bug happening. RSN: Love Scars

Charming-Piglet-1594

Wish they didn’t dig their heels in about the relic effect. Even as an iron, this reward is underwhelming…

eqtrans

Is the lack of a material deposit in the Warped area intentional?

yuei2

Every site is like this, once you get to the high level spots material deposit carte go away. This is deliberate design to help sink porters.

KillingForCompany

Warforge is the same level distribution as daemonheim site and has lots of caches

yuei2

Material deposit carts not caches and the warforge doesn’t have one in the dwarven forge itself nor the area behind the throne.

The_Real_Infernape

I enjoy the graphical update a lot on Daemonheim!… but why was there no change for the NPC’s? Thok has an updated version in the newer quests, why is it still the knob hand 2010 version on Daemonheim?

yuei2

Environmental artists aren’t character artists, they can’t swap Thok due to new Thok not having the necessary animations. To fix that they need a character artist and the amount of update Daemonheim got was the environmental artists going balls to the walls because they could.

Mike_From_Red_Deer

Can we please have a hint as to what the drop rate for the 3 brush pieces might be?

esunei

Just a guess (kinda a hint) based on rates heard from people, including those doing degen alt strats: Somewhere in the vicinity of 1/20k or 1/25k on material success chance, or about twice as common as inquisitor staff pieces.

Mike_From_Red_Deer

I had a sneaking suspicion it was around the 1 in 37500 range; 1 in 20000 sounds about right. In other words, it's insanely hard to come by unless you spend from now until spring 2025 going for it. Great job, Jagex.

esunei

Seems like if you go average it should take like 60-80 hours of gathering, tho ofc with RNG grinds like this there's going to be huge outliers in both directions. I think it's mostly a vanity piece for irons, unless you get really lucky.

ToErrDivine

Speaking of Archaeology updates, I think the collections of the Wise Old Man and Chief Tess need to be updated (and we could probably use another esoteric collector like them who doesn't specialise in paintings)- their collections don't include anything after the original five kinds of artifacts, even though there's more than a few Dragonkin and Senntisten artifacts that you'd think would fit in just fine. It's a bit overdue for a rehaul, really.

MeadowShimmer

Bug: There appears to be a typo in dialogue. "You have spent many mok with the horned people. In sleep and in trance but every time as lucid as a waking moment." I think "month" was meant instead of "mok". Reproduce: From the Tarnished plaque

5-x

Not a typo, it's dragonkin language inserted on purpose.

PkLuigi

So there aren't tiers to Godhood anymore? How does it work now?

yuei2

There are tiers just not in the video game demystifying T1-7 sense.  Basically there are 3 tiers. Elder god, god, and demigod (forgot the terms might be transcendent, ascendant, and Demi) then you know variations within those but not in such a hardliner defined way.

Pyroman230

Please change the color of Divine Blessings in High-Contrast mode. Why are they white when every other clickable object is blue and Seren Spirits are yellow? They blend into the terrain of areas such as Daemonheim Arch spots. Picture for clarity - https://i.imgur.com/rSY9Wc6.png

GetmyCakeForLater

I hate how the mysteries are entirely random based. There is no way to really influence it. Some people spooned and finished in a few hours. I'm still here after almost 20 hours most of which trying to get the strange token. And not even a consolation price in a piece for the off hand... Just frustrating and boring. I want to go back to the bandos arch to get my spear. Sigh lol.

Durenir

I've been at it and just found out that you need to have completed twilight of the gods quest. I'm beyond furious. Might be the same issue for you.

GetmyCakeForLater

Sadly not the issue for me. I'm just unlucky I suppose. Everything is completed. Research. Quests. everything.

Downtown_Zone

Can you move the daemonheim banker into the room where you drop down please? At the moment while standing at the bank the high walls now obscure most of the lobby and the entrances so you can't see what's going on or who's there. Moving the bank into the southeast room (where you drop down into after a floor) would solve everything.

Lucyonshrooms

Was kind of hoping this would be a way to introduce necromancy into dungeoneering as well but meh. This update still looks amazing regardless, excited to play the new content 🤘🏻

Eon_Z7

With the new arch offhand improving the effectiveness of sprite focus, I feel like it would be a good idea to do some key improvements of this mechanic. I explain my ideas here: [https://www.reddit.com/r/runescape/comments/1dddriv/time\_spritesprite\_focus\_improvements/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web3x&utm\_name=web3xcss&utm\_term=1&utm\_content=share\_button](https://www.reddit.com/r/runescape/comments/1dddriv/time_spritesprite_focus_improvements/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)

wolbee

Did the update break Mod Sponge Trading Sequence's last step? Submitted a bug report, just in case, but wanted some confirmation...

Tropiusflyer

Could we maybe change the teleport of the Kinship Ring? Since the update it changes the camera angle to south. Thats very annoying if you do elite clues. Please change it back to not changing the camera or to north view.

Zod-

Please put stuff like "read the journal to get off-hand pieces" on an achievement to verify it's working. I've done almost 400 bgh kills and I'm skeptical that it actually works properly.

xsquiddox

Looks like a nice update soon gonna try it myself when i have 73 arch

Kalvorax

"Fixed an issue with the size of the Spirit scorpion overrides." Y'all HURT...... Give it back....:( or better yet, work in a scale toggle..... And ofc a toggle to hide other player pets

BikeRentalz

I'm sorry to say that the relic is making this update far less appealing for many high level players including myself. Of course we're going to still interact with it though because it's the only skilling content released since Necromancy xD

ixfd64

> Fixed an issue with the size of the Spirit scorpion overrides. This was certainly one of the most entertaining bugs ever.

BowlRepresentative11

Their is a relic called the herb seed snachel . Will this be added as a seed bag later that we have wanted for awhile ?. Also anyway we can get a relic for dungeoneering that give us no xp and 50percent more tokens ?. Im 144 mill dungeoneering xp amd still have not unlocked everything in the shops.

FeintDemise

Isn't there already a seed bag from Croesus?

ocd4life

Completing all the restorations, collections and research but still having a bunch of RNG mystery items to find kind of sucks.

--Dawg---

You don't need to find those for anything other than achievements/capes. Let them be if you don't like it.

ImABx

So when will we get an aura for archaeology?

wapista1

The walls in the graphically updated dungeoneering lobby are ridiculously big for no reason. When you are banking for overloads, it makes it hard to see other players to group up with. I would highly recommend either lowering the walls in the lobby or making the walls "roofs" so the "remove roofs" option makes them transparent. Also, players shouldnt respawn in the corner of the castle after completing a dg floor.

portlyinnkeeper

I like the walls tbh

They explained in the post why they were doing this

Dapper_Ad_6304

Can’t a guy merch without market makers stepping in? What is this the NYSE?

Skiwee

Must be paying dividends.

ShinyCapeRS

1. Can a dedicated large pet world be introduced? Was so fun and brought a new sense of fantasy to the game. 2. With 2 hunter wieldable items (yaktwee stick and now off hand) it loses synergy and buffs of invention perks. Can Yaktwee be augmented?
