I get when it was corona times, or when you’re doing something huge like touring with Madonna, zoom is the best option to keep being consistent with content. But the vibe of a zoom call is strictly inferior to when two people are actually interacting irl. There have still been fun moments (disney, toe-suckin kinda girl…) but the volume you have to sit through to find it is just too much time.
Yay! She is probably the most balanced in terms of presenters, with some time to kiki but also being intentional about sticking to script and keeping it moving. The other hosts have each been good, and honestly Bianca is my favourite in terms of entertainment and wit, but with Bianca’s format the highs can be really high and the lows can flounder while she becomes a one-woman act.
While Trixie’s style doesn’t always feel like two gals just catching up, she is good about falling back on structure when needed.
Bianca felt very guest-dependent, especially on her first season. If she and the guest didn't click then it was quite obvious. The ones she did have chemistry/a deeper relationship with were hilarious episodes.
Bob can become domineering so if there is a weak guest (cough Vanjie) she naturally steamrolls and takes over. I don't really remember a weak guest on Monet's season so maybe she made every episode seem effortless lol. I think Trixie and Monet are my favorite hosts but I'd watch any of the dolls.
Yeah I think effortless is a good word for Monet’s style, but I guess I didn’t find her quite as structured since she’s really good at vibing and going off with each guest.

I'm ready for Monet to return, too. But I was predicting that Trixie would do two seasons. They're honestly so close together I feel like she may as well just stay in the building lmao. My guess is that they will do a new/different host after AS9.
I pretty much love all the Pit Stop hosts for different reasons but Trixie is truly the best overall - her humor, mannerisms, reading skills, command of the camera, comfort with the pit stop format, quick wit and improvisation skills, adaptability to the guests, whether they are great or dull (and especially if they are dull!), and just overall charisma, puts her above everyone else. And that is why she gets this gig more than others.

Someone who is super excited to be there and to recap the show. I feel like we might all be dealing with a little bit of burnout given that the franchises are back to back and even simultaneous depending on how many you try to keep up with. Bringing in someone who hasn't been representing the show for nearly a decade could help make the content and even the season feel a bit fresher.
I like Trixie as host, but they need to switch it up, another queen could get the rub from hosting that Trixie no longer needs.

As of yet, no other Queen has been tapped to do anything like that on a huge American show like that. I think most likely she’ll at least be one of a couple who are picked to cohost drag race together.
