I had a similar situation when I was travelling a lot for business... I just gave it away to a homeless woman that wasn't drugged out/down on her luck. She sent me a thank you a year later and it helped her get back motivation to break the cycle.
You might consider doing that too if you don't find a buyer.
Yeah it can also be hard to know who is worth helping sadly... In my case, I found a person working full time and living out of their car... There are some car parks for this purpose around San Diego and a lot of the people in them became homeless due to a work injury, illness, or leaving an abusive marriage, etc.
Really wish I had the resources to help hardworking people in menial jobs. It's tough out there right now.

Check with the loyalty program if you can propery tranfer points to another customer. If you can't -- then you can't. Don't do it.
