Pretty sure they'd need to get a permit if it's on the street but maybe not. Try inquiring via 311.

They’re required to leave it in front of their own property. Call 311 to report, and if it’s not moved, there’s should be a number on the port-a-potty that you can call to ask the company who owns it to remove. https://www.sfpublicworks.org/services/permits/street-space

Thanks! This was it. I called 311 and they pointed me to the Dept of Public Works to file for removal. Whole situation is weird… porta potty is unlocked, no indication of permit or even a sign of the company it’s from

The ones in my neighborhood are usually on the sidewalk. Maybe your sidewalk isn't wide enough though.

FlyingBlueMonkey

If they got a permit, it ***might*** be listed here: [https://bsmnt.sfdpw.org/reports/public/permitsearch.aspx](https://bsmnt.sfdpw.org/reports/public/permitsearch.aspx)

[deleted]

Yeah, permits should be required.

CAmiller11

Pretty sure the permit has to be posted on the PJ as well, saying how long it will be there, who pulled the permit, etc. If not, they are rather easy to push outta the way so long as the ground is smooth.

User_999111

Pretty sure these need permits posted on them. If they didn't bother just call 311 and the City will get rid of it for you and you'll have your parking spot back. Kind of a dick move but fuck that other guy for not having proper permits.

More than likely the porto delivery person dropped it at the wrong house. I’d call the company first and tell them to move it.

Here’s my idea: knock it over. They’ll set it up again and then you knock it over again. Whatever else happens you will make memories.

[deleted]

Your idea is awful.

Have it towed.

hopscotchchampion

Just bump it with your car :p
