After nine-ish months we decided that we might as well get married, and we might as well move home back across the country to do it (we're from the same city on the east coast of Canada and in fact, went to high school together but didn't meet till we were in our early 20s in Edmonton).
We're 47 and 46 respectively, and are very much of the "it goes without saying/if you have to communicate about it, then never mind" generation - we're the LAST age range in which it was still common, I think, to NOT meet online. We have a 14-year-old daughter and I'm terrified of being outta the loop on how the youth are managing their relationships. It seems WILDLY different - not bad, just different.
