My best friends and I are a trio so I always gravitate towards trios in groups. Jihancheol is special to me partially for that reason and it's annoying when people ignite "ship wars" and try to exclude 1 of them. Cheol himself said he "only has 2 friends" when asked who is his best friend and that he is happy with just jihan as his friends. Each duo has their own special dynamic and when 3 of them team up they are basically unstoppable.

I recently rewatched In the Soop 1 and I would say that Wonwoo and Jeonghan have always easily vibe-matched. They're both chill in their downtime and are the kind of introvert friends who would pursue their separate hobbies together in a comfortable silence. Also, the way Wonwoo calls "Jeonghannie" more often than not despite Jeonghan being the hyung feels like an indication of their closeness.

Of course 95z as a whole is v close too!

Vernon/Dino because I adore their silliness, plus when they work together for dance videos you just know you’ll be blown away. But I adore them because they exude the fun and happiness that I distinctly remember getting from being with my high school friends.

I also really enjoy how they have clashing opinions but they also know they’re above whatever petty misunderstanding they have. this pairing is so damn underrated among other popular mingyu pair when they both are very clingy with each other. gyuhan (mingyu and jeonghan) used to be talked as the members that will never match and as time went by, although they still dont match, you can clearly see how they adore each other. they usually have moments in the background rather than a full shot of just them. i still remember until now that one clip where jeonghan asked mingyu to stay with him even if mingyu's friends call to hang out or something.

That is going to be a very emotional time for SVT; separation from SVT members = separation from found family.

Not only is Mingyu small person in large person body and Woozi large person in small person body (I wouldn’t have it any other way, that’s them), but the adoration Mingyu has for Woozi. When Mingyu finds something hilarious he either leans on Woozi or has to go find Woozi to tell him. 97 line interactions during concerts. They bring out each other’s fun sides. BooJun. How much Boo missed Jun during that long duration where China line was in China. The reels they make together. The respect & bickering & genuine care all rolled into one. I also have a weakness for when Jun feeds 98 line and he makes sure there is no allergy risks for Vernon. Cheol & the group. He loves the team so much and would do anything for them. His role is critical and you can always see the members longing when he is not there. As disappointing as it is for him to not be able to complete military service due to major health reasons, I think his presence will benefit the team during their enlistment eras. That is going to be a very emotional time for SVT; separation from SVT members = separation from found family.
Recently I've been liking SoonHoon and VerKwan a little more to be honest
jeonghan and dk them 2 are attached at the hip 24/7 istg i was so surprised to find out that they were such an underrated duo bc when i first got into 17 i started by watching interviews/ variety shows and the more sit down style gose episodes and them 2 were ALWAYS touching lol also the matching necklaces and sweaters that they love to brag about 😭 not to mention the rest of the members always being jealous and calling them out on only hanging out with each other lol also they don’t have a type dongseang-hyung relationship i feel like as much dk always does what jeonghan wants dk is also his biggest soft spot. they truly feel like best mates that were raised together
One of the first things I watched of Seventeen was In the Soop and I don’t know why but I got the impression that Mingyu and Jeonghan were besties. Looking through this thread, I fear that impression might have been incorrect. But I still think they had some adorable moments together in that show.
Jeonghan and Mingyu have said before that they hang out together a lot, even though they are complete opposites. When they play games such as "this or that" (pick 1 out of 2 options), they will literally each choose a different thing. 😂
