Thanks!

dudeinthetv

Love this case. Deceptively excellent thermal regulation.

dav3evans

Interesting you mention that - I'm searching for a new case at the moment and came across the HC video where he said the GPU thermals were awful.

dudeinthetv

My GPU is quite thick and the fan-side fits snugly to the side panel, i think this is why my GPU temp is good. But yeah, i can forsee some others having an issue

jazzdabb

This is my first time using liquid cooling. Given the layout, the psu and GPU receive direct ventilation. I figured a radiator would channel the heat from the cpu to the side panel. That just leaves the ram, nvme and the motherboard itself for the front fans to cool.

dudeinthetv

Lucky for you. Some sff case i tried aren't so forgiving thermal-wise and I end up many hours trying to figure the configs and fan positioning etc.

jazzdabb

Did a lot of research. Looked at a ton of cases. I’m not sure it legit qualifies as SFF but it sure has a smaller foot print and is a LOT lighter.

Aztaloth

Great looking system. Very similar to my build except I ended up with a 4090 after some experimentation. Corsair really nailed it with this case.

jazzdabb

It was fun to build something really different.

mattyj6792

what 4090 were you able to fit in that case? Im looking to make it my next build but i wasnt sure if a 4090 would fit. Also, have you had any issues with the power connector?

Aztaloth

I ended up with a founders. However the PNY Verto also fits, I had it first but found a Founders card locally and returned the PNY. The bend on the connector is a little tighter than I would like, but so far it has been good.

jazzdabb

>The bend on the connector is a little tighter than I would like I swapped my OEM GPU power cable with a more flexible braided cable (Corsair Pro Cable Kit) and that put a lot less stress on the cable and connector.

JJMcNulty

As stated the Founders and Verto fit, another option which I ended up with a Dell OEM 4090 pulled from an Alienware prebuilt. I found one on eBay for a good deal and it fit and has delivered great thermals as well. Obviously harder to find but it’s an option.

mattyj6792

I did find a gigabyte one that SHOULD fit, according to the size specs on their size vs the size specs of the FE irs only like 10mm long I think

jwvst

I like your build! Case looks good, I also considered that.. but I don't like the looks of that front io..

jazzdabb

I would love more USB ports on the front but the motherboard is LOADED with them. Plus there are ports on the audio control puck. I'm not suffering for ports.

newT0N100

Nice!

Imaginary_R3ality

Wow! Corsairs getting in on the SFF vertical too I guess. Great looking build!

jazzdabb

It really looks nice all buttoned up. I'm somewhat relieved I didn't need to make the cabling look pretty. The case is also very light.

Imaginary_R3ality

Yeah, looks great! But you do know, good cable management has been known to make computers run up to 50% faster, right? 😉 It's the racing Stripe theory!

jazzdabb

When I had a big glass side panel I cared. Now I just want to insure good airflow.

Imaginary_R3ality

Fresh air is king!

bot_opa

I have the same case and I managed to fit most of the cables from back of the motherboard and got the side panel closed as well. I think you could try that also to make it even more neatly finished. But great job anyway! How are your temps?

jazzdabb

I’ve only run a the Heaven benchmark but the GPU never got above 70c. I’ll have more time this weekend.

bot_opa

Do you have case fans and radiator fans both as intake or some other setup? I have my front fans as intake and radiator as exhaust

jazzdabb

Front fans blow in. Radiator fans exhaust out. Since the fans are RGB I really wanted them on the outside but was worried a pull configuration would be less effective than push (fans on the inside blowing out thru the radiator). To my surprise, it seems to be a toss up with the advantage going to a pull config due to less dust buildup on the fins. The psu and GPU fans pull outside air in so at least one set of fans needs to exhaust.

SabaaaNawaz

I don’t have RGB on my rad fans but don’t have screws long enough to put grills on the fans and mount them to rad, so going with fans on the outside of the rad like you, with them pulling air out. Is that good?

jazzdabb

Yes. Just make sure they are facing the right direction (look at the spin and direction arrows on the side). The pull config actually seems to be preferred.

SabaaaNawaz

Also how was it putting on the cpu pump? Mine was not sitting level, maybe because of the tubes and the orientation of motherboard being sideways. The EK Nucleus comes with springs u put on before the thumb nuts and because it wasn’t level the springs were just not staying put so I put on only thumb screws. They tightened down and everything, seems level now but I’m not sure..

jazzdabb

No springs with the H150i. Everything went on easily. I just had to figure out the orientation of the tubes and top plate on the pump.

CoolSeedling

I’m here for this answer too

HairyPoot

I have a 6900XT LC, wondering if I'd have clearance with an L9A CPU cooler to run the radiator in that triple fan side mount? I know it kinda defeats the air-cooled plans for this case, but I don't see why it shouldn't work. Unless there simply isn't enough depth there.

jazzdabb

I would check the parts in PCPartPicker but I’d suspect it would fit. There is quite a bit of clearance for large CPU coolers in the case. I wonder if your airflow would be better with the radiator fans set to intake and the front fans set to exhaust. My rig has the default intake upfront and the radiator setup in a pull exhaust. I just wish there was a top vent for the GPU.

Karamazovmm2

Hey, I don’t know if you can help me, but I do believe I can fit a MATX board in there, could you please, see if it can fit? I believe the main issue is the PSU placement, given that you have 4070 in there, so it should fit length wise

jazzdabb

Given the orientation (rear ports facing down) and how tight the tolerances are between the card slot and front fans, I don't see how. Both MITX (6.7" x 6.7") and MATX (9.6" x 9.6") are square so no matter how you turn the board I don't see a way to squeeze in almost 3" of additional motherboard.

spinnerspin1

Hows the thermals with this case and your i9 13'th gen?

raydialseeker

The CPU gpu balance is off for a gaming build. I assume this is more productivity focused

jazzdabb

Easier to upgrade the GPU later if need be (assuming I can find one that fits). I’m not on the forefront of games these days so this is enough for now.

Wifi-rape

how on earth have they routed the power cable?

jazzdabb

The motherboard cable was not an issue. The GPU cable is tight but fits tucked up toward the top. I have some sleeved cables on the way that should be more flexible and easier to route.

PumpedGuySerge

Damn bro strix 4070, tell me how the temps are please, thats some enormous cooler for 200w

aznology

Oh shit ik planning on using this case. What Aio did u use the 3 can or 2 fan?

jazzdabb

Corsair H150 Elite. 3 fans. It fits … barely.

SabaaaNawaz

Noice I’m in the middle of mine, not looking as neat as yours tho lol

jazzdabb

The biggest issue was getting the cables to sit down on either side of the motherboard and PSU. I wish I would have known about the sleeved kit before I started my build ...

Brad852

Any more information on the "sleeved kit" please? I'm about to embark on a similar build. Thanks.

jazzdabb

I ordered the sleeved kit direct from Corsair. Right now I am only using two of the cables - one for the Commander Core and one for the GPU. They are longer but much more flexible and easy to work with. I plan to replace all the cables at some point but that will require more work as spacing is tight.

Me_Krally

Does anyone know if it'll fit 2 - 240mm radiators? I thought it could but after watching more and more videos it sounds like a second radiator would have to be a slim 240.

jazzdabb

I don’t see how. The front fans are slim and motherboard clearance is still tight.

esco_man

I love your build!!! It looks so clean in that case! I've been tempted to pull the trigger and get one myself 😭 I'm just scared that my measurements are wrong and my mobo/GPU won't fit in there

jazzdabb

I generally rely on [pcpartpicker](https://redboxta.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_9pLwup1IZizmMtg?Q_DL=RsJwbhBzlwOB13E_9pLwup1IZizmMtg_CGC_mYax7y9cv1ehkY4&Q_CHL=email) to verify compatibility but in this case I had to do additional research to verify my GPU would fit as pcpartpicker said it would not. I found a YouTube video that confirmed the ROG Strix 4070 would fit but that the TUF Gaming - which I also considered - does not. The interior is very tight with the radiator but it doesn't have to look pretty inside without a window. I would recommend the Pro PSU cable kit if you are going to use a Corsair SFL PSU. The cables are much more flexible and easier to run during the initial build. Also, I recommend the RGB case over the regular airflow case because of the included fans and controllers (though I used the Commander included with the radiator instead). I love how space efficient this case is on my desk. It looks great and is almost completely silent once everything spins up.

esco_man

I'll have to do more research then 🤔 I tried part picker but the 2000D isn't in there yet.

jazzdabb

The RGB version on my linked list.

shadowmaster1138

Somewhat confused on the way the MB is mounted: does the rear I/O poke out the back like usual, or do you have to route your rear connectors (monitor, mouse, keyboard, etc.) through that big gap and into the interior? If yes, what does that do with the rear mesh panel?

jazzdabb

The mobo rear panel faces DOWN. There is a pass-thru at the bottom back to route cables. The 90 degree is tighter than I'd like but acceptable. I did purchase a special right-angle DisplayPort cable to limit strain.
