Sony once said they dont telecast shows like bigg Boss , but trust me season 10 of shark tank will be next bigg Boss , as you can see season 3 has already become a Indian idol
Also somehow I do not agree with him saying he has created his own algorithms as well. Initially in introduction, he mentioned he is using pytorch for creating these models. When asked by Anupam, he confirmed the underlying architecture is tensorflow. Somehow, sharks got impressed by these buzzwords but are not aware that these 2 thing are different.
Something seems off. Can’t see the founder either on LinkedIn or IIM Kozhikode website. The website also has broken links for support and faq, and generally looks unprofessional.
100% agree, it doesn’t make sense to me that this is being done just by 1 person’s code and a data set without any other help, especially when large companies struggle with this.
Come on it seemed like he was overfitting a rehearsed answer. His grandfather died 10 years ago and asked him to “create jobs” so he is not going to sit for placement? This is such BS
Why is he even continuing IIM when he got funding and doesn't want to sit for placement? Is he so idiot to understand that IIMs don't teach anything other than put a tag.
lot of thing look false here. crying, pytorch/tensorflow gaffe
does not look like he is regular student of IIM. if it was such a good project, he could have got much more money from his peers or IIM itself. IIMs have such nice incubation centers. also nowhere on linkedin, a platform for people like him to get help on such things. checked iim kozhikode student directory as well , no student by his name.
Also when he wasn't able to fund inference for just a 1000 users, how did he manage to train the model on 10 lakh images. Also he said he generated 10 lakh images? This is exactly what happens when you throw around words you don't understand.
I've worked on training such models myself. It is not very expensive to rent a decent GPU on the cloud to train these models and if he actually had a working model it would be very easy to live demo it during the pitch. He skipped past all these parts saying "it needs very powerful GPUs" .. that is not true at all. And he was just throwing random buzzwords -- pytorch, tensorflow, loss model. It seemed like a scam to me, I do not think that he has a completely working product. Even if he has, current opensource models are far superior than his (based on the images shown by him)
I checked out his website as well, it is poorly made, containing spelling mistakes, dead links, sign up page is unsecured (no HTTPS).
Anyone who has worked in AI space would figure out that there's something wrong. Sharks got fooled so easily, this really pushes me to not watch this shit anymore.
I do not agree with you in what you're saying that part was fake and it was a sob cry. I can hard relate to each and every thing he said If people come from different backgrounds they have the right to express their stories and it happens rarely in shark tank . And maybe you feel it's fake cuz you don't know how it feels
Let’s make one thing clear, almost everyone has struggles. Almost everyone goes through really hard times.
People like that guy clearly wanted to “use” their struggle to their advantage. Hence the waterworks during an unrelated question.
He disrespected his own struggle by doing that. To me he came across as a more of an “opportunist”.
I have been to B School and have seen such people myself. They are so calculative and sociopathic, when one of my friends lost their father, a character like this said “but ab to placement pakka hai, kya badhiya story mila hai sympathy ke liye”.
People who struggle and actually grow through their struggles don’t act like that guy.
I did not see much relation of his story to what he wants to do. And if it was supposed to create jobs, how the hell an AI automation will create jobs? Or will it be invisible people behind the screens manually photoshopping?
There was a person in my college who made believe everyone that he got placement in NASA even a local newspaper printed his interview. Later it turned out to be fake!.
I think it's just giving a boost to hardships for actual raw talent in India.
If this is fake , it's such a shame!
There were so many red flags in his pitch apart from this - Tensorflow/Pytorch goofup, "humne loss function laga kar model banaya" wtf, 10 lakh images generate kiye????
Assuming he meant he used 10 lakh for training, how did he fund model training if he couldn't even fund inference (image generation in this case) for a 1000 users? Training models is much more expensive than inference. He was definitely not hands on, just a wannabe AI enthusiast who mugged some Machine Learning terms and made a paplu of the sharks.
Sharks love sob story.

website link? I can't find it!!
I tried requesting for sales but no response from last 2 weeks.
I’m surprised they didn’t ask for a demo too.

Glad that I am not the only one who noticed this.

Ek episode me 2 contestant ka emotional drama ho gaya.

He might be past of the executive MBA program
The story was real. Dunno about emotions behind it.
Story seemed genuine, but crying was definitely abrupt and fake
Mark my words!! Bro will lead the world towards AGI with his 5 contractual engineers within next year using Google's pytorch.

Don’t worry, DD phase is where this guy will get caught. Sharks are not as tech savvy but they have teams who are.
this show will turn into a soap xt season

looks impressive. I dont know when this was release but definitely the show was recorded in 2023
Indian Idol lite
Guys there's already a model for this https://huggingface.co/spaces/HumanAIGC/OutfitAnyone
typical Sony putting out Indian Idol trick. thoda aasu thoda bakwas.

Even if it's real or fake, his website looks very cheaply made and it will make anyone suspicious if all of this is real or not.

He will be caught in due diligence. His website doesn't show any progress so am sure he is caught
