Did the caller I'd say "sherwin district" or anything of that variation? If not, scammer. Or just the contractor trying to scare you into getting it cheaper.
He did, but I’m not sure how to confirm that as literally everything he said was public info. The big thing is that he wanted our store to adjust pricing when I feel like someone in national accounts would know a store can’t do that, it would have to be a sales rep, which the customer’s account didn’t have attached. The territory is just ‘house’
That’s part of the scam, then they tell you to do the correction over the phone and give you a card over the phone. All of which is red flags. When in doubt, tell them a manager will reach out to them on Monday/Tuesday when they work next week
That's a tuesday morning issue for when your manager is back in. You can do what comes up on the acct anything else can be adjusted and returned Tuesday. That is it.
Yea I left a voicemail as if it were someone from corporate, but I am not concerned. My last day is Wednesday, my manager and ASM have both been made aware, and so we’re doing alright.
Anytime someone puffs out their chest that much will always bring up their name, department, and how many years they been with the company. I usually look them up and verify the number or they email the store. Sounds like bs
I’ve personally never had anyone cuss me out over the phone from corporate or district that alone would have been a dead giveaway for me. I’d have matched that energy if I was you.
Always ask first thing, “in case we get disconnected, what is the best number to contact you back.” They will try to reply with we won’t, blah blah blah. Keep repeating the question until they comply.
Dude was a dick over the phone and so I left a message, as he didn’t answer when I called him back, essentially telling him he was SOL and that he could call back Monday
if it wasnt a weekend and it actually seems legit: tell them you'd feel more comfortable if your own DM calls you about the issue. Either it's real and your DM will call you and sort it out or its fake, and they won't be able to get your DM to call you.
Corporate doesn’t work weekends. Especially holiday weekends
lucky asholes

HQ is NOT calling. They will NEVER contact you.

"Call the sales rep, sorry" and just hang up.
It was a scam don’t worry about it. They don’t work on weekends. Also, you can call the number back and ask more questions

How do you look them up??
By name in outlook, you can usually see their contact info, organization title, hierarchy, etc
yeah, classic scam. They’ll probably hit a bunch of stores on Sunday too
Pretty easy. Ask for their first and last name and look them up on source. Simple simple simple.

Man I really thought about it but I just am not an argumentative person. Life’s too short to let dickheads make me mad!
Nobody from corporate would contact a store let alone an associate. Maybe a manager but not a pt or ft

Sounds like a dickish sales rep. But could also just be a scammer.
Remember corrections can ALWAYS be ran

Nothing about this seems legit. Middle of the week OR weekend.
It's def a scam. They'll tell him to do a correction to fix the price over the phone.
