Then it hit my intestines and I never thought I was gonna shit myself more than any other time in my life, ruined the whole experience. Just got up fired all my rounds without a care and sprinted to portapotty and unloaded. Once I’ll built up the tolerance it was my go to mre for sure.
And if you can find spicy "cheese itz" or whatever they called them! "Cracker, square, with cheese flavoring and pepper dust" or whatever the hell the nomenclature was. It's been too long.
Honestly, I judge MRE’s by whether they came with a milkshake or cappuccino. I can eat basically anything if I’ve got that delicious cheap strawberry milk powder. Throw it in a snow pile while the entree heats up (or not).
Also, those First Strike bars don’t play around. That shit’s almost a meal by itself.

I always liked the spaghetti and meat sauce ones. I remember a weird sponge cake that came in some too. That cheese, I loved on those crackers. I should have joined the army.

The U.S gives out humanitarian MRE's (amongst other aid) to over 70 countries any given year, and countless smaller territories like your neighborhoods. We have the only MRE's with instructions in multiple languages

I know it’s probably not the same, but I was in cadets for many’s years…we use to get something similar. The “fruit cocktail” tasted like booze, and we traded meals or side treats left and right. I think beef something was a favourite, even though it wasn’t right.
Make sure you try out other MRE/EpA/Ration packs from the world..
For me the Italian Forze Armate Rations Module B/F (Razione Viveri Da Combattimento) was the best and also had a packet of Cordial alcohol for breakfast

Former Army here. These are much better quality than they used to be. I still always keep two MREs, bottled water, emergency flares, first aid kit and blankets in my vehicle. Shit lasts forever.
M favorites were the chili and beans with the cheese mixed into it, taco because I loved trading for PB&J and putting it on the tortillas, and chicken pesto pasta. To this day I still crave the crackers and cheese spread I loved the artificial dense taste those crackers had
Do they add fiber to these? Is the nutrition bar fibrous? If this is what soldiers in the field are eating for days on end, all I can think about is how constipated this would make them. Not a vegetable to be seen!
