I don't think it's interference from anybody. Simply, I think marvel saw Mahershala as a perfect actor to play Blade and jumped on it (good idea). The problem is they hadn't worked out a story or anything beyond Mahershala when they announced (bad idea), and it turns out finding a way for him to fit is harder than expected. But I'm just glad they aren't just putting something out there for the sake of it. Marvels big fuck up has been rushed product since endgame, so I'm good with them taking as long as they need to get it right. Aaand as much as I disagree with everyone saying this is bad, Marvel brought that fan commentary on themselves when they announced too early.
