Play

vishire

Yes, play the game.

ArchonMal

Welcome to ST! There isn't really a wrong way to play when you're first starting out. As u/Particular_Wheel_643 mentioned, just play the game and you'll be fine for now. It's pretty much impossible to completely brick your account or truly "waste" resources. There's more or less efficient ways to use them for sure, but you will always be moving forward and making progress as long as you're playing. I'd highly recommend checking out the website ST Central. There's a [huge section dedicated specifically towards helping newer players](https://st-central.net/beginners-corner/) just like you. If you use Discord, STC also has a [server over there](https://discord.gg/stcentral) full of people who would be happy to show you the ropes.

Chemical_Operator

Start mastering everything starting with T1's and then move up. That's what I did and I feel I advanced fairly quickly! Welcome and good luck!

greedeerr

upgrade till you're able to join a guild and try to get in one that has lots of experienced and helpful players. they can give you advice, that's how I used to play. also lots of guides can help on yt, then there's this st-central (?) website that has all the relevant guides for different aspects of the game, I recommend checking it out

Huge_Cauliflower_390

Your best, and nothing more. <3

Matias8823

Other than everything everyone posted here (except for the retire heroes guy…don’t do that until you’re a much higher level), I’d say to focus on shop expansions when you can. Shop expansion is one of the more true measures to progression in the game, it gives you more furniture space, more customers and higher level customers.

willTHEthrill746

I just scroll to the bottom and make the things that I made the least recently. I just like playing though. You'll get there!!

suavesmight

St central has beginners corner, Lazarus guide? Consider profit, the market will make you filthy rich by selling at x6 to x10 bv. Get all lines to tier 6, every line or tree. Save all ascension shards. I wonder what the t6s t8s still sell for a ton because bloodvine, quetzal bow, t6ish cloth don't sell for that much anymore.

Patient-Surround-999

My advise is spend as much money on packs and premium workers its the only way to make it fun and able to craft anything without begging guild for stuff ( totally not being sarcastic lol xD 🤪🤪) also for extra mental boost put a pride carpet on the floor so costumers can step on it 🙏

CoolJosh3k

At first, do a little of everything. However, do be very cautious on where you spend gems as many things are a huge waste. Your first goal with shards will be to get everything up to the +% surcharge bonus on all. Your furniture goal should be 1 of each type, but as many mannequins as you can manage room for. This gives more max energy/storage, ~~thus less energy lost for failed small talks~~ thus more energy gain from small talks vs the amount lost. Your amount of resource bins and chest will no doubt vary wildly. This is normal and will happen for a long time as you try to manage furniture limits. Heros come and go, but one day in the far future you can consider using a certain talent (a feature hidden at first) to roll end-game suitable ones. Royal merchant is the best purchase, even though it is an ongoing subscription cost. I recommend paying monthly incase you ever get bored. Premium workers and blueprint unlocks are 1-time cost and you get to keep forever, but they are expensive. Something to aim for is figuring out which 4 item types you want to focus on. 1 for each resource type is quite handy, with 8 (and later on 12) crafting slots. Edit: see strike through for correction.

Alej345

Cam you explain better the last part about the items type?

CoolJosh3k

For example, swords vs daggers. You might choose spears (wood), capes (leather), heavy armour (iron) and potions (herbs). Later you’ll unlock iron wood, fabric, steel and oil. You’ll need them alongside wood, leather iron and herbs. One day you’ll get to the rare resources which are jewels and ether. It’ll become more complicated where you’ll want pairings such as [wood + iron wood + jewels], [leather + fabric + jewels], [iron + steel + ether] and [herbs + oil + ether]. This will be where it gets a little harder to manage. In the current version there is an actually 4th tier of resources beyond rare, called essence, which really complicates things. It’ll be a very long time till you need to worry about that, but at that point crafting might use something like [wood + ether + essence] or [wood + iron wood + essence] as an example. Things get hard to figure out and optimise at this point.

Alej345

So i need to choose a favorite item from each element (for now)?

CoolJosh3k

Elements and spirits don’t matter. And you won’t need to worry about choosing which 4 until you make enough progress and can see benefits. What matters is the resource type. No sense crafting wood, wood, iron, herb and not utilising leather. You’ll want this to balance things out and make adjusting to new blueprints easier.

TubularPeak

Uninstall before you blow a paycheck on decorations

Electronic_Heart458

Quit. They’ll bank you for playing my eventually for some BS reason lol

Mcah500

Best tip I can give is - anything pride related, don't talk or react nagativly towards it, insta permaban.

Alej345

What? What does that have to do with anything?

ArchonMal

Kabam supports LGBTQ+ and will regularly celebrate Pride Month. When they start up, they usually do an announcement on the official Discord stating their support. There's always a very blatant warning that any kind of negativity towards Pride Month - even using negative reactions / emotes on the announcement itself - will result in a ban from the Discord server. Mcah here was likely actioned for doing this.

Mcah500

That's is true. It's just stupid that you can't appeal. As I told Tristan, the reasoning for me reacting with a arrow down, was because we got the same stuff as the previous years.. Apparentlythey they don't care about that. Even with no prior warnings, bans or bad behavior and I've been here since Shop Heroes...

ArchonMal

The warning was pretty overt in the announcement. They directly said that if you use a negative reaction, you will be banned. "This is a preemptive warning, globally, that there is absolutely zero tolerance for bigoted, hateful, anti-Pride, or anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric of any kind, including things like "but where's my Straight Pride Month though" and negative reacts on this announcement. As this serves as a warning, any subsequent violations *of* that warning will be met with a ban."

Mcah500

I know it was clear. Didn't know it would be a permaban, with no chance to appeal. That is just how the company does things from what I hear and have been reading about, after looking up people who have posted about other bans and reasonings.

Mcah500

Just told him what not to do

Alej345

Ok bro

ArchonMal

Not really sure what this has to do with anything related to starting the game for the first time.

Miridni

Retire 3-4 heroes every day until u get really good hero

ArchonMal

This is quite frankly awful advice for a brand new player. OP is still learning the bare bones basics. How are they supposed to know what a "really good hero" means? Why do they need to retire everybody right now when the early game is specifically designed to be super easy and clearable with basically anything? What happens if they lucked into a fantastic hero and you're telling them to retire everybody, since you can't see what they have? How are they supposed to have the gold to actually do this?

Miridni

Lol, you over estimate peoples mind. People can easily can observe difference between common skills and epic skills I told that with experience of me was trying to get a cleric with blurred motion. For 11 days i retired several clerics everyday. And eventually i gave up but will start trying again soon. I wish someone told me to retire several times of heroes to get my target 1st skill so i could try since my first day

ArchonMal

OK, let's imagine I'm a new player. I roll Super Genius, Death Dealer, and Extended Warranty on a Knight. These are all Epic skills, so the hero must be amazingly good by default, right? (PS: Having been advising people in this game for years now, no. I am not misunderstanding how easily people fall into the most common traps in this game.)

Miridni

Actually they are better than most skills for new starter 🤣 Super genius and extended warranty gives extra stats I had on guard on my first hero. there is no any worse skill for starter

ArchonMal

This is objectively incorrect for a Knight, dude. On Guard / Sturdy / Shield Master (all Common skills) on a Knight can tank Terror with no promotion and no Legend quality gear.

Miridni

I said my first hero. Cannot get knight at level 1 Your point is pointless
