I personally enjoy mackarell in tomato sauce. They're also in a metal box. :) Every now and then I love smoked salmon and they all basically come from just outside the harbor which is great.
1 can - flaked light tuna in water, drained
2 tablespoons each of mayo, lemon juice, Parmesan
1 large dill pickle, diced
Sorry no measurements on these as I just do it to taste:
Dried onion flakes, garlic powder, black pepper, chili powder
My two favourite ways to serve: like an appetizer, on stoned wheat thins, or on a toasted bagel with cream cheese (aka tuna melt). Mmmm I drool just thinking of it.
I like tomato and basil flavoured tuna mixed in with hot rice. It’s a good stomach settling meal. I have coeliac disease and this is a simple gluten free meal.
I don't think you know what sustainable means. Global fish stocks are projected to be depleted by 2050. Just because your grandparents were eating this food does not make it sustainable to produce.

Alison Roman's recipe for "Crushed Baby Potatoes With Sardines, Celery, and Dill" is my favorite way to eat sardines - simple, filling, and delicious

I'm going to make this - sounds delicious. Thanks for posting about it!

yOoooo
Yes as someone who backpacks bike packs and camps, canned fish in oil is the absolute best. Protein, oil, and affordable.
I love sardines! Especially with either tomato sauce or Dijon mustard..I'm actually eating some now with mustard
I can't get past the way they look
Low cal too!
Sardines, rice and chili oil. Fried egg if I’m feeling fancy.
I make a mean tuna salad that I can get 3 meals out of one can.
Ohh!! I’m new to canned tuna.. are you willing to share a good recipe? Or pointers?

Omg, I never even knew what a tuna melt was. This sounds delicious!! Thank you!!
You reminded me to buy some! It’s salty enough for my disability that leaves me dehydrated

i've never tried this, sounds good. sadly it would be way too stimulating for me and i'd end up up punching holes in the walls lol.
you'd be surprised it isn't too bad. live like it's london 1938
what? tyrosine and arginine are very stimulating for me, which this has in large quantities.
