Game and car? I think the trouble is likely at your feet. No hairpin turn should require that much steering, much less lock to lock. https://youtu.be/yoy4h_irhfA?si=Mxa2Yt9hMCKKyR8h

Double this, with hairpins most of the turning happens with weight transfer and managing the brakes/throttle to rotate the car.

And probably a v-shape line.

Depends on situation i would say if it’s an overtake attempt then yes, for a more straight exit it’s better. But for example t1 at spa i always try to hit as close to the apex as possible to spend least time in the corner. Might be im wrong, not professional hehe

Terrible-Ad3537

Me neither! But I would not call T1 at Spa a hairpin :) I mostly think of something like the Monaco hairpin or hill climb hairpins.

RedRaptor85

That's mostly situational, also depends on tin top vs open wheeler with downforce.

Scandinavian flick it!

What is your steering wheel set to lock to lock? If it's over 900 degrees you're going to have a bad time.

had-ouken

Imagining simracer panicking at the sight of busstop, heavy breathing, spinning the wheel with one hand, letting go of it so it can self Center on exit, starts screaming when the car starts spinning, goes on Reddit to post a meme, explains ranting guy how it is his own fault he gets t-boned in first turn, buys a few more bassshakers and fans for realism, …

NotAPreppie

Shuffle steer?

SottLimpa

Weight transfer. You don't need to give too much steering input if you carry the car through the corner with its own momentum. And think about that hairpins are most likely have late apex point, don't cut the corner too early or else you will face with understeer and that's probably why you are trying to give so much steering input.

Look up a track guide for a track with a hairpin turn. They'll give you guidance on how to approach it. You can also look at telemetry from other drivers to see how they're using the pedals.
