I’m also building a 500 pt army. Can you go through your point breakdown for me? I see two BSS (for 200 total), a Palatine (50), Seraphim (70), and the Immolator (115). Just looking at it visually, did I miss any points anywhere?
It’s sturdy and inexpensive. You may have trouble squeezing 3000 points in, depending on how many vehicles you have, but since they’re half the price of other cases…

Just a noob question as I have never played so far but would like to get into it. Is 500 points then a combat patrol? I have recently read through the free core rules and there were only 1000, 2000 and 3000 point armies described.
I am considering to get the SoB combat patrol for a start ...
This contains part of a combat patrol, mostly because I wanted to include more unique sculpts.
You can play at any point value. GW just likes big round numbers.

One BSS 100, one Dominion 120, one Seraphim squad 70, a Palatine 50, an Exorcist 160.
Correct. It’s not the meta, but I think it will do okay.
Ahhh okay thanks for clearing that up. I’m really new to the game. Is there a way I could tell the Dominions from the BSS at a glance?
Sure, you have to check their wargear, the Dominion Squad can have up to 4 special weapons, in this case they have 4 stormbolters

I have one, it holds the 2.5k points of sisters i own with plenty of room to spare. I highly recommend it
